Adeyemi Ajao, Nigerian-born Mark Zukerberg of Spain He is the founder of Tuenti.com, the largest invite-only social network in the world, which sold to Telefonica in 2010 for $100 million in the largest startup transaction ever in Spain. He is regarded as the first African ever to sell his startup for $100 million on August 4, 2010, when Telefonica took controls of 85% of Ajao’s Tuenti, an invitation-only private social network site for students and young people in Spain. Tuenti popularly called “Spanish Facebook” was started by Adeyemi Ajao at 22 and four of his friends. Tuenti has over 14 million users and is the largest Invite-Only network in the world. Tuenti, which in Spanish comes from "tu enti[dad]" meaning your identity, sounds like Twenty in English. It is rated as one of the fastest growing social network sites. Tuenti features many tools common to social-networking sites. It allows users to set up a profile, upload photos, link videos and connect with friends; recently a chat application has been added. Many other utilities, such as the ability to create events, are also offered. Unlike similar social network sites which feature banner advertisements, Tuenti has opted out of these traditional forms of "noisy" and obstructive advertising. Zaryn Dentzel, one of its founders and current CEO, stated that they intend to focus on Spanish users more before possibly expanding to other countries. Adeyemi Ajao was born in southern Spain to a Nigerian father and a Spanish mother. He was in Nigeria for only six years, spent two years in Italy and then moved to Spain when he was nine, growing up in the small beach town called Marbella. Adeyemi earned a Masters in Finance from Emory, a J.D. from ICADE in Madrid, and an MBA from Stanford, and graduated at the top of his class at each university. He was elected one of the “Top 100 Spaniards of the Year” in 2009, and was invited by the U.S. Congress to the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama as a representative of the Spanish Commission for Accomplishments in Entrepreneurship. Adeyemi’s father was one of the first mechanical engineers in Nigeria, who started a steel company in Nigeria. He saw his father fought hard to put his company together, but unfortunately didn’t make it in Nigeria, and left for Italy. Ajao the Co-Founder/CEO of Identified has also launched other successful innovations such as Cabify, an application for hiring of vehicles with driver via mobile under the slogan "Move with style." Cabify requests high-end vehicles with professional drivers using technology, to bring consumers the luxury. You can ask about one of your cars from any device, be it a mobile phone, a computer or tablet. The user receives a notification with information about the designated driver, model and license plate number. On the screen of your device, you can see how the vehicle looks and can even contact the driver if needed.

Elijah Oyefeso https://www.studentcheddar.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/which-car.jpg Interview with 20 Year Old Millionaire Stock Trader – Elijah Oyefeso 20 year old Elijah Oyefeso isn’t your typical uni dropout. In fact, he’s now a stock-trading high roller driving three sports cars (2 featured on The Daily Mail today). After just 4 months at Buckingham University studying International Football Business Management, Elijah decided to leave, telling Student Cheddar “Uni was decent, my course was very standard but at the end of the day it just wasn’t my passion. I found that I really started to fear the fact of working under someone else”. Elijah, who grew up in South London now makes over £26,000 a month trading ‘binary options’. Binary options are basically estimates of an underlying asset’s performance during a given time frame. Instead of buying and selling stocks ‘in the market’, Binary Options just involves placing a bet on the direction of a stock without having to purchase a stock. If the above hasn’t already inspired you enough then check this video of Elijah purchasing his new Lamborghini. Interview with Elijah Oyefeso So Elihaj, when & why did you start trading? I started trading when I was just 17 years of age. However, I never really took it seriously until I left university. Starting early defintely helps with your general market perception, but I don’t think that it is essential! The reason I started trading was because I was once browsing YouTube and came across a video of Tim Sykes (a famous penny stock trader) make over $5000 in a 15 minute video! I thought ‘if he can do it, why can’t I?!’. What does a typical day for you involve? A typical day for me involves getting up quite early to get a general awareness of the market, and I often start trading at around 10am. After I have finished trading (this varies between 30 minutes to 3-4hours) I go to the gym to let off some steam! I also put a lot of focus in to starting other businesses (I have around 5 projects going off at the minute). I go to my local church 3 times a week and I think most of my success comes from my faith. https://www.studentcheddar.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/CJp58soW8AA_L4r.jpg How did you learn how to trade so profitably? I learnt a lot through different media outlets, namely YouTube, blogs and books. I highly recommend YouTube as you can find exact trading strategy walk-throughs by experts such as Tim Sykes. Most importantly, I learnt from my very expensive mistakes. It’s all good reading books about how not to follow your emotions when trading, however when you make a loss of £2000 because of following your heart not your head, the lesson really sinks in! What do you think are the most important skills you need in order to trade successfully? Three skills: Discipline, time and patience. All these skills can be developed, however you’ll never make profits trading in the long run without them. Whats been your biggest profit [and loss]in one day? My biggest profit in one day was £10300 in March this year. However, I’ve also had some pretty hefty losses (great lessons), of which my worst was £2000 in one day. Trading is a rollercoaster of profits and losses, however if there are more ups then downs, it’s a very fun ride! |

Remi Alade-Chester https://lh4.ggpht.com/_78wgd5ujqrc/TNpR6XSktAI/AAAAAAAAl_A/0J9vptPfzcI/RemiRICHARDGERST2010.3_thumb.jpg Born and raised in the city of Lagos, in Nigeria, Remi Alade-Chester was living in his hometown till the age of eleven, at which point he migrated to the US with his immediate family, Remi began a new life on his continuous journey to success. Standing at 6’1, the power-house model with his sculpted physique, flawless skin and a striking face, makes a bold statement. On how he got into modeling, Remi told online magazine LAMODEDIMITRI “I was always advised to try it out since I was in high school, but I never thought much of it until my designer roommate in college introduced me to a photographer. With money as a catalyst, I soon started dabbling, and that’s when Graham from Gadal Model Management found me and I flew-out to Barbados to meet him. The rest is pretty much history…” Remi began modelling around his 20th birthday, which makes it a 2 year career thus far, since he is now 22. Interestingly accelerating through the model industry, Remi gained enough prominence to walk the runway for the Fall 2011 menswear collection of Parisian fashion house Givenchy. Although his fast growth has been a major curve ball, he really could not have had it another way. |

Betty Adewole www.nairaland.com/attachments/1292897_Betty_Adewole_jpg27e89231d0648cd1d6e166e6e371c030 Betty Adewole (born in 1992, in London, UK) is a professional fashion model from England. Both her parents are Nigerian, and nurses. She was discovered by a scout from Models 1 in London while she was shopping with her mother. She has walked the catwalk in fashion shows for Elie Tahari, Emilio de la Morena, Vivienne Westwood, Fashion East, J. Crew, Mark Fast, Nathan Jenden, Paul Smith, Issey Miyake, Jasmine de Milo, PPQ, Maison Martin Margiela Paris, Pam Hogg, Loewe, Emanuel Ungaro, Marcus Constable, and Nasir Mazhar, among others. She also did campaign work for Libery of London. She has been in magazines such as Arise, 125, and French Revue de Modes. She also graced the covers of Arise, 125, and French Revue de Modes. She's currently signed with One Management in New York, Elite Models in Milan, Major Models, and Models 1 in London. Scouted at 15 in her hometown of London - shopping on Tottenham Court Road, to be precise - the model has politely dismissed comparisons with another capital-born model, Naomi Campbell, asserting that, while flattered, she is "very different". After a steady start, the turning point in her career was being signed by IMG last year, and subsequently cutting her waist-length hair into a boyish crop - forcing designers in search of a new look to take notice. From her debut on the catwalks of Loewe and Maison Martin Margiela during the spring/summer 2011 season, Adewole has become one of the industry's most sought-after catwalk faces. With appearances in some of fashion's biggest shows - from Alexander McQueen and Tom Ford to Stella McCartney and Givenchy - under her belt, she's likely to give fellow Londoners Jourdan Dunn and Cara Delevingne a run for their money in the popularity stakes when the shows begin next month. |

Also, a lot of folks don't know how big Skepta is cos he's not a pop artist. He's the biggest independent artist in the UK and he runs his own record label (Boy Better Know) with his brother, JME. He was also the one who got Drake on the remix of Wizkid's tune "Ojuelegba". We call him the King of Grime (UK's version of rap music) and he has single-handedly turned that genre of music into a big thing across Europe and even a lot of Americans are now listening to it cos of him. He has done a lot of sold out shows in the US, Canada, and across Europe. This is the video of the Ojuelegba remix - Skepta rapped at the end. The picture on the screen is a picture of Skepta as a baby with his dad, Joseph Adenuga Sr. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdDpr--__YY |
