Hi everyone, I've being a member of this forum (Nairaland) for about a decade but has never been active because i never dimmed it fit to participate in some primitive discussions. For a long time now, I never visited the site but when i did today and decided to check the romance section, siamia's caption really captured my interest and i checked other posts. I had always seen the forum as one for the immature but siamia proved me wrong with her thread 'if you are 30+ and still single'. Sure, this thread will make me visit this sight more, henceforth. Just came back from church.. It was so wonderful
I wanna share what I learnt especially for the Christians here but lemme start with the analogy that was given.





If you have a very expensive phone and then it's serving you very well and it falls into water or fire or gutter one day... What will you do?.. You'll pick it up of course... Because the phone is serving you, you can't allow it to get spoilt



But when that expensive phone is not serving well, the screen shatters, the sensors are not working... What happens... You abandon the phone at home for kids to use as toys and you wouldn't be bothered about losing it........ Because the phone is not serving you don't care so much where it ends up





That's how we are in God's hands. .. When we're serving God he can't allow situations to mesmerise you.... He picks you up from muddy waters just like you'd pick your very important device...


But when you just go to church to warm the bench, you hardly give, you don't win souls , you're not working in church in one way or the other...... You're like the spoilt phone... And you know what follows...




In summary....
Until you start meeting God's needs you'll remain in your needy state... What does God need?

Hmm.... Another Saturday gone. Marriage ceremonies all over the place. We dance, eat and take numerous pictures. But in reality, Many just see it as mere formality not a merger of love again.
The result is there to be seen after the wedding. Divorces and broken homes everywhere. People boldly and with smiles tell lies on this day. " Till death do us part",.......... "for better for worse ",.......... Fast forward to the future. It's betrayal and cheating galore ;left, right and center.

So, I ask myself the question too..............?
Looking into the world, sadly, 'no' as an answer will take 99%. Because it's a world where lust is celebrated, where the male folks and the females plays fast ones on one another's' hearts and lives.
But then I thought about God. HE is love. I can't deny him with a 'no'. His is the truest love I can find...........
