I booked with my old passport, it has not expired as at the time I was booking but with few days left to its expiration. I mailed the embassy to ask if I could do that and was answered in affirmative. On my interview day, I submitted my new passport to man at the gate who later asked for the old passport I used for the booking. I was only fortunate I brought the two passports. The man asked if i informed the embassy before I booked with the old passport and when my answer was positive he said he would go inside to confirm which he never did. He eventually allowed me in.

One gentleman was refused entry to the embassy last Monday because he came with a passport different from the one he booked with. He was asked to produce the old one but unfortunately for him, he didn't come with it.

My advise is that you go with the two passport rubber-bond together. If the man at the gate allowed you in, you can then explain yourself to the VO if asked. The VO will only be interested in your valid passport.

Finally, prepare well for your interview and put your hope in God.

No, Birth certificate must either be from NPC or declaration of age from high court, it can serve as biography, if you have baptism card from your church if you are a Christian it is OK.

Everyone has a local government of origin certificate. You can use it too for biographically old document.

Guy I don't know why you dey panic like this, don't send any mail to the embassy, prepare for your interview tomorrow and go with the two passport, make sure that you leave the two passport with the VO after your interview because since it is a visiting visa they will not give you your passport back after the interview. Go and refill new visa application form and change the old pp no to new passport no. I hope you have all your document ready.

I have never heard embassy work on Sunday. Prepare for your interview tomorrow and be hopeful, all will be well.

Yes the birth certificate I have is from NPC but like I said it's not recent but over 19 years
and this is the only document I can find right now that is over 5years

Sister, buy a new WAEC result scratch card, it is about #500.

Is OK, but the check list stated that you have to submit birth certificate either from NPC or declaration of age from court, which cannot serve as biography of old document, find any document that you can use as biography of old document eg your university ID card, Library card, Local government certificate, National ID card, Hospital card etc Biography of old document is different from birth certificate from NPC or court. Single birth certificate cannot serve as both birth certificate and biography of old document, they are two different requirement from the check list, although embassy may not put much interest in that if you submit only birth certificate to serve as the two, but it is good to submit the documents as requested from the check list.

Why not use www.daad.de or Google search to search for schools that offer those courses, it very easy

Apologies for the digression, but I have a burning question: I just renewed my International Passport after the expiration of the former one which I did not use till it expired. I already lost the old one, and my question is, would I be required to submit both passports upon visa application at the embassy? I need gurus in the house to do justice to this. Danke schon!

Nothing concerns embassy with your old passport, what they need is your current valid passport

you can't and what do you mean by waste time? It is just to download the former online, fill and go to submit nau. Then you get a block act slip that u need for appointment and even interview.

I mailed uni-assist requesting for the outcome of their evaluation. They said its 2.27 on German scale ( for 3.30/5.0 Nigeria scale ) . So I guess its clear that they maintain the normal system . ....
