The last time oil was at a 100 a barrel was when? Why do you people keep shouting that nonsense. Show me where it was $100.00 a barrel
Average was over $100/b during Jonathan's tenure. Yes or No?

Sometimes I read some comments and it's so obvious nairaland has gone to the dogS....

BBOG is still active and have never stopped asking for the release of those girls, everyday at unity fountain in abuja at 4pm go there and see for yourself

That she criticise the government for not being alive to thier responsibility doesn't make her an enemy of Gej,thats why you guys tried to kill her and mess the BBOG campaign up cus you felt she was against jonathan?

Nigeria economy is in a terrible state even Jonas government had to borrow to pay salaries early in the year, the budget was benchmarked at 65 dollars per barrel and oil is trading btwn 45 and 50 dollars per barrel

We had an oil boom between 2010-2012. The presidency and governors squanderd the excess money and wether jonathan was still in power today the economy will still be bad if not worse

Pdp or apc this is a time to come together tell ourselves the truth, stop our wasteful ways as a country! Why would we steal what we don't need? Why should a government official steal 1billion? Why should anyone take someone's pension?

During that same time Governors like Amaechi benefited from the windfall but you still want him to be a Minister right? Where is the money he and Fashola your new Ministers received show us the projects. So GEJ did or did not spread that money to the states?

These so-called elders keep on passing down the wrong values to the younger ones. What moral right does she have to say this kind of thing about the economy after helping to foist GMB on us?
Where lies the honour in her?
She should keep shut and enjoy whatever she gets in this Government.

She was simply saying GEJ finished our economy and caused it to nosedive while PMB is our hope to fix it as he did when he was a military president.

That guy is doomed, he should open his eyes and see that things are falling apart. This is over 5 months and there Is nothing to show for it. The economy is dead, and they keep shouting oil price, it shows that they don't have anything solid to offer, only those that had high expectations for the government would be disappointed, as for me I gave up on them as soon as I heard that PMB gave amaechi a 'saint' status

True.
But this is what I think could help.
Permit me to repeat my post on the 'Benue Staff Protest' thread, this morning. This, though over flocked over the years does not just seem to have earned the treatment it deserves:
"...Moreover, all parties must be prepared to make sacrifices, both the political office holders and the civil servants. If they can't get all their salaries, they have to make do with part of it.

However, It is foolish for States Chief Executives to rely on what ever allocation they are given by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Same way, it is also foolishness for the Federal government to continue rely on the revenue from oil.

Over the years, it wasn't enough, is it now that we are 'rescued' by the dwindling oil prices that it will be enough?
Rescued in the sense that the global decline in the value of oil has presented us with a golden opportunity to start looking inwards with a view to developing several other sectors of the economy which have laid fallow, untapped and abandoned over the years.

State governors must rise up 'dakkada' and see to it that in a few years time, they won't depend on Federal Allocation.

Again, this is the reason while some of us think, all natural resources in different states should be controlled by the states that have them, then some percentage of what they generate from there would be paid to the Federal Government.

If Nigeria and indeed, Africa must be self-sufficient, then we must practice true federalism.
With this, one bleached-skin man in the name of Donald Trump or whatever, will not vomit poo about us in a century from now.

#operationlookinwards
the north would be the least persons to accept true federalism....no minister to be sternly proffered true federalism as the sole means of reviving our economy and curbing the spate of unemployment...we are doomed in this one nigeria..

Don't abuse the woman, no need.
Do you know why you should not?

I belong to that category of people the ignorant call 'wailing wallers'

But very soon, we will be vindicated. Or should I have said, we are already vindicated. And at the end too, we shall be absolved of all blames.

Suffice to draw your attention to the fact that recent 'body languages' (events) on our national stage have proven that the problem of Nigeria is NOT PDP and not APC, too.
Recent events at both the Senate and House of Reps have illuminated this fact. Even the not-too-eventful leadership offered by President Buhari (the executive Arm) and the inconsistent, incoherent and twisted rullings by the judiciary also lay credence to the fact that no man or arm is above board. Not one.
Forget the utopian promises APC made, they were all votes-attracting sugar-coated talks
hmm see the way you dey try psyche ignorant people here with your words. But one thing you got know you nor fit fool everybody here with your dribbling words. Who nor know say jona tenure brought this mess to the nation huh. GEJ led government was a disaster that's what Buhari is trying to correct and I believe everything will fall in place very soon.
