I compare money invested in share as yam planted in a farm, that the owner expect bigger yam than the one planted. The original yam decays and produce a bigger one. But in the case of the money invested in sound fundamental stocks like, First Bank, Zenith Bank, Okomo oil, Dangote sugar and cement, Nestle, 7up, and others. It pays better than yam, because original yam planted decays, but the first money invested appreciate with time, by increments in quantity of share through bonus, increments in price. Yam produces new yam better than the one planted, and that's the target of the farmers, at side of share, it yield dividend. Investment in share is one the best investment in the world. But bad manager / bad government discourages investors. Nigeria will have conducive atmosphere for their investors one day.

Let me tell you ladies and gents a story.

Story story! Once upon a time,
Some years ago as a young lad, I witnessed the upward price movement of stocks in the stock market and I was fascinated at the opportunities in the market to "grow money" without limits (So I thought).

Some years later, I began to understand that it wasn't as I thought. The market was actually volatile and full of changes. I saw that as another opportunity, and I got this great insight: I can buy low, sell high and make good money in the process. However, there was a limitation I had. I didn't have a reasonable enough cash flow!

I kept on acquiring financial intelligence and looked forward to a day when I could earn from the market. In the process, I took some courses in economics and business and I leant many more lessons. I still didn't have reasonable cash flow.

The stock market crash of 2008/09 and the slow recovery that followed was another eye opener. Still I couldn't earn much from that "opportunity" because I didnt have reasonable amount of funds to do so. I hoped that one day, two things will line up: I will have available cash and the market will be battered enough for me to take a plunge.

Today, I have access to cash flow and I can see that prices are about right for that plunge. Say hello to the next billionnaire in the making!

Nigeria’s economy is growing at the slowest pace this decade as oil prices drop.

Companies are complaining they can’t get the dollars they need to do business. And trading in the naira has long since dried up.

There are many good reasons why Godwin Emefiele, who runs the central bank of Africa’s biggest economy, should lift currency controls and let the naira depreciate. One of the things holding him back is politics.

Devaluing the naira may give opposition parties the opportunity to claim that Emefiele’s main supporter, President Muhammadu Buhari, has lost control of the economy.

The International Monetary Fund says the currency measures are detrimental to Nigeria, where growth slowed to 2.35 percent on an annualized basis in the second quarter. Former central bank Governor Muhammadu Sanusi II said last week his successor was “in denial” if he thought he could continue propping up the naira.

David McIlroy, chief investment officer at Alquity Investment Management Ltd., which oversees $100 million of frontier market stocks and is put off buying more Nigerian shares until the currency weakens, he said.

While companies including Dangote Cement Plc, the country’s largest publicly traded stock, and Sahara Group, a power plant operator, have complained that they are struggling to pay for imports, Buhari insists the central bank is provides “legitimate businesses” all the dollars they need.

“There’s enough room to maintain the current regime for now,” said Samir Gadio, head of African strategy at Standard Chartered in London, which in September changed its end-of-year forecast for the naira to 200 from 222. He now predicts a devaluation by the end of March.

“Eventually an adjustment will take place if oil prices remain at these levels. It’s unlikely to be imminent.”

Oil prices declined in Asia Friday as a midweek rally dissipated with no relief in sight to a global crude oversupply, analysts said.

Prices surged on Wednesday driven by bargain-hunting and a below-forecast rise in US commercial crude inventories, but concerns over the supply glut soon resurfaced.

At around 0700 GMT, US benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was down 30 cents at $45.76 and Brent crude was trading 24 cents lower at $48.56 a barrel.

“Crude oil (is) set to end October in the red, which will make it seven out of 10 months this year, as the global supply glut is showing no sign of abating,” Bernard Aw, market strategist at IG Markets Singapore, told AFP.

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday appealed to world and African leaders to unite to address stock market crash, political conflicts and terrorism.

He cautioned developed nations against adopting double standards in their approach to globalisation.

Buhari said there should be free movement of goods, services without any hindrance.

He demanded reforms in global institutions because they were outdated and asked African leaders to develop a sense of urgency to tackle the continent’s challenges.

It's almost the right time to invest, meaning that the right time to invest is about to come. Share prices are still falling. For instance, #6 million injected into Oando stock today at #6, will be reduce to #2 million, if Oando price go down to #2. A man that started falling from two story building will reach ground first and rest, after nursing his injury, he will start climbing up again. Remember, his fall might stop at the first floor or the ground floor. Stocks are falling and may not pick up quick. With the present government, the era of stock manipulation, fake company results declaration, fake worth of share price is now a thing of the past. Nigeria is going to be better again.

Many people run away from buying of share, after 2008 experience. A lot of people die, due to high blood pressure, a lot of millionaire turn to poor man. Even when most of the stock was at take away price of 50 kobo, there was no money to buy. When one losses money, it discourages one to buy, even at cheaper price. But I believe, very soon ground will be clear to invest for the future multimillionaire. Any money you will invest in any sound fundamental stock and leave it for at least 5 years, will yield enough income for you. Money will obey your command. The right time and the right stocks to invest in, are very very important for any investor that want to make money.
