onatisi:you think investors are mumu, that u can cajole with sweet talks;they are not morons, give them any information, and they will go extra mile to confirm the authenticity, before dropping a dime. Foreign investors are not as gullible as an average electrorate in nigeria, who easily fell for lies from our politicians. If u expect PMB to start wooing investors with lies,u'r wasting ur time. For all d lies by Gej,how many foreign investors was he able to bring to nigeria? Pls don't resort to abuse. If u have the Facts & figures, let me in the know. No limit to information. Enjoy ur sunday ! |

I disagree with Metuh on this one,PMB's comments are proper for the moment.Do you think investors are not aware that corruption is widespread in Nigeria?Travel around the world and read comments about Nigeria in the past ten years and you will get the opinion of foreigners. Some are even advised to be careful when coming to Nigeria. So even if PMB likes let him praise Naija from head to toe the foreign investors and bankers who know the pattern of looting and cash flow/money laundering from Nigeria know the truth. What they want is a leader who would boldly come out and state the problem and won't bury his head in the sand by glorifying corruption by saying stealing is not corruption. They want a leader who can tell them the bitter truth and say he is doing something about it.Or you think JayZ that cruised on Kolla Aluko's yatch does not know the money was stolen through Dizzy baby? The Indonesian leader does not hide it when he mentions the havoc drug trafficking is causing in Indonesia but he accepts something is being done.PMB is right by acknowledging the problem or the investors will continue to think it's an 'old boy how now lie lie president' we still have.Wailers I expect more wailing in reaction to this but the truth is bitter. There is endemic corruption, branding or no branding, manipulation of statistics by voodoo economists or propagandist like Olisah Metuh to deceive foreigners the way they tried to bamboozle Nigerians will not work.Baba let them know you know the problem and you are fixing it! |

erinalex:There is nothing wrong in talking about the challenges of your country but there is everything wrong in emphasising of the so-called challenge like we are the only people facing such. The goal of the government should be to address these challenges and to convince investors of our plans and programs for that. Buhari need to help promote Nigeria. He doesn't need to lie! |

tempex88:PDP right in what way?PMB his only looking 4SINCERE n HONEST investors that why he is saying the BITTER TRUTH. GEJ led administrator were only interested in TEXT BOOK ECONOMY that why DIEZANI so deceived that DAFT while NGOZI churned out FALSE STATISTICS and the so-called PARASITIC investors had it 4themselves. Now that the PROPER thing is going on they r RUNNING away, the only thing BABA should REVIEW is the CRIMINAL INVESTORS n their PDP collaborators that have been bleeding us bad n encourage local entrepreneur but that Nigeria is CORRUPT n INDISCIPLINE is no NEWS, the WORLD knows that n it should be drum into the ears of those PDP THIEVES who led Nigeria since 1999..VERY VERY IMPORTANT |

tsdarkside:You don't need foreign investment abi. That is what OBJ said and started doing from 1976. By 1999 he was on his knees begging them to come. Last week Cameron was on his knees before the Chinese president. Even the US continually seeks foreign investment. In the past one year 90 percent of my revenue has come from overseas as Nigerian component declines so I am not affected at all by the economy. Pally, I hope you are never placed near any economic decision making theatre. |

tsdarkside:Mr man keep shut there, just take time and read what you wrote if it makes sense to you. Do we(Nigerians) look like we care about Mr President religious beliefs or morals? We voted him to fix things and not complain,so it is not against his religion to associate with thieves like Audu,Obj and the rest? ....... Don't you think its better to be a liar than a suicide bomber. |

erinalex:and then your credibility would be destroyed...at least this investors know that buhari is a man of integrity..better tell the truth and let the investors weigh the risk themselfs...this investors have risk-management-teams and agencies,,,they are not stvpid....nobody likes a liaer.... |

“Furthermore, Mr. President’s recent announcement to the world that the nation, with its abundant human and natural resources, is broke and cannot pay cabinet ministers not only sends a discouraging signal to the domestic and international business community, but also exposes the ineptitude of the present administration to meaningfully and sincerely exert itself and work with industrious and innovative investors to create and manage wealth. I won't be surprise when his aides will debunk this statement, that the President was quoted out of context. It is high time, the APC-led government stand-up to its responsibilities by more of actions & less of talks. I am beginning to believe that APC as a party didn't have an existing blueprint of Nigeria's economy, they're stalling to make out one now. We were meant to believe that their inability to kick-start with their policies & blueprint was as a result of the failure of past administration in submitting the handover note on time. But it is 5months now after handover, are they still studying the documents? I hope the Presidential aides, will start teaching PMB the ethics in communication before this gets out of hand #Myopinion# |

tsdarkside:One of the umbrella demons who looted our treasury, destroyed our morals and bla bla bla for 8 out of the 16 years of umbrella regime is still nosing around Aso rock villa and whispering advice to your president. What good do you then expect from the president? |

temitemi1:Goodluck Jonathan told Barrack Obama inside the White House that if Obama doesn`t fix Migeria, he wouldn`t be able to fix Africa. Can a worthy President say something like this, telling another president to come and fix your country for you,? If we remove politics from this, it`s easy to say that Nigeria is rarely led by people that know what to do and say at the right time especially when abroad Somebody has hit it on the head here, that PMB should have the right kind of people to vet his public pronoucements Once he went to Germany to meet his G7 leaders coupled with collecting $2b from America, you can easily see that this is not a President that understands this world and the role of Nigeria in it. But the truth is he is not doing anything that people like Obasanjo and GEJ haven`t done before |

shadelek:you said even if what PMB is saying is true he shouldn't say it so that the investors wouldn't know. This your statement proves that most of us are dishonest and cannot be trusted as Buhari pointed out. Metuh and his wailers missed 3 points; 1. SaiBaba is a man of INTEGRITY and so cannot call Black, White to gain undue favor. 2. The investors themselves Need correct information about ouR state of affairs so as to know the risks involved which they weren't getting before from top government officials even from the Clueless One himself. 3. Whether we say it or not there means for investors to find out what's up with us but its even worse if we want to live in denial. Like the Clueless-One GEJ once said; "America Will Know" everything. So if PDP and its band of wailers want to wail they should wail jeje. A true APC supporter should know that There's little or nothing that can be done with a corrupt PDP budget. Change will be on full speed from January 2016. |

tsdarkside:Maybe you can start by building your own internet. say something meaningful, inasmuch as you want to rely on what you produce, does it seem feasible on the short run? Are we working towards it, or it ought to happen like magic? |
| Re: Buhari’s Statements De-marketing Nigeria, PDP Says by Nobody: 5:26pm On Nov 01, 2015 |
tsdarkside:I bet you have no idea how foreign investment works. Nigeria on its own is a big risk for any investor, to make the situation worse by rubbing poo on your own face is just counter productive. India has its fair share of corruption, infrastructural decay, unemployment and all but they don't keep whining about this endlessly. |
