daretodiffer: who pushes them outside into the arms of waiting mistresses? dr. soleye swore an oath his wife started declining his sexual advances as far back as 20 years ago. AyeeIdris: thanks for your amazing use of logic & common sense. you have spoken well. daretodiffer, you would grow old if you follow the footsteps of ayeeidris.
and rightly so...... a woman who sacrificed everything she's got to build a home deserves loads of money as compensation. i am all for fairness. my pet peeve is those money-hungry, gold-digging heifer who are bent on reaping where they didn't sow. |

daretodiffer: Yeah there have been many high profile ones. Can't remember those. Only the one we handled. We once represented a senior officer at a bank. The wife got 150,000 for maintenance fee every month for EACH of their three children, a property in Ajah he had initially bought for her but seized and a lump sum of 3.7 million. Although he was our client, I was not too sympathetic because there was a lot of domestic abuse but there had been a lot of useless women frustrating their spouse trying to hit payday on the guy's head. I remember witnessing a case where the guy was suing the wife for allowance and maintenance of the children . People were snickering in court but I was proud of the guy. Equity is not just by mouth. After all, it is both their kids. Really, pre-nup should be a thing. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

AyeeIdris: In light of new info I'd say the guy deserved to pay all he did and more. He even had a traditional marriage with the mistress? The wife should have sued his ancestors. Per your other post. Yes, the divorce environment is a soul-killing business. I shudder to think that people actually are desperate to specialise in it. 2 Likes |

pickabeau1: Matter don end since. The lawyer during cross examination accused her of connivance and condoning since the man has multiple children outside I remember that day of judgement. his counsel walked up to my boss laughing...that we want to kill the man. Efcc is following him and now this. He does not know how we intend to squeeze 25 million from him. My boss said he does not know either, but squeeze we shall. Lol. My boss was a G back then. Very funny old guy. Nike has divorced him too, so he has lost out in all ends |

raumdeuter: fücking hell....... i don't believe this - nigerian women are too saintly for this kinda thing to happen. no nigerian woman can deceive her husband into believing an illegitimate child is his. no such things happen in our country - there must be a mistake somewhere! Timbuktou: he had stopped all means of communication with the wife. he screwed up big time - he sired a kid each with 3 different women and that excludes his affair with nike osinowo. the court order was fair & just! |

pickabeau1: E go hard o. If a man approaches you for marriage in a typical naija setting and says he wants you to sign papers before he marries you, you go gree. First thought will be "eh heh, so this man was to Marry me and throw me out when he is tired of me and leave me with nothing" Pre nup will only be condoned between the super rich for now where both parties are bringing big cash into the marriage and don't want to lose it. 3 Likes |

daretodiffer: resolve wetin? aren't you an advocate of "a woman has the rights to decide what goes in & out of her body?" any further pressure would be tantamount to marital rape. he could have married another wife is neither here nor there. infidelity comes first before marrying a second wife, no? wives cannot continue to lock their vaults and expect men to stay loyal. man must wack!!!!!! |

coogar:The wife is a Nigerian man, that can be the only explanation.
I said the guy is a mumu, or he seriously underestimated his wife which still qualifies as mumurity. Apparently, his wife had looked the other way while he had his affairs but he had to bury himself by taking another wife after siring bastarrds all over the place. He was definitely over-feeling himself. 1 Like |

coogar: You don't know me at all. I am neither a feminist nor misogynist. He can't rape his wife. There is always the divorce option and I believe the court will be pathetic to his situation. Then he can marry another wife or they could reach an agreement where she stays but allows him to take in another wife. |

raumdeuter: Marriage is not boyfriend or girlfriend things where you vex and send a " I am breaking up with you"message. Bad behavior cannot be excused but you cannot just divorce over things that can be worked out. The husband is cheating. Reprehensible. Has she spoken to him? No. Courts don't grant divorces anyhow. They will always order a family conference. Do you know how many cases I have had that the couple reconciled at the family conference, wasting My Time, MY brain and NOT COMPLETING MY fees. Matters that they can solve if they just applied a little tolerance and worked through their problem instead of running to divorce. Choi. It used to pain me back then. I was happy they reconciled but complete my darn fee 2 Likes |

AyeeIdris: I'm surprised you don't know your sisters. I can bet my life savings that most of them, I'm thinking 85%, will gladly sign prenups if their boyfriends brought them up. And in this era, if Nigerian law will respect it, I see no reason why any man with serious money shouldnt implement it. |

pickabeau1: the nigerian law is mostly modelled like the british law. the british courts don't recognise pre-nups. if a billionaire marries a woman today and she files for a divorce next week, she would be entitled to half of what he owns. if the brits don't value pre-nups, i don't see it ever working out in nigeria. daretodiffer: i know you very well! you are an unrepentant feminazi |

pickabeau1: these women aren't smiling..... if ridiculous divorce payouts start in nigeria, the wives themselves would be the ones setting up their husbands with younger women. as long as they can get evidence of infidelity, maga must pay. |
Re: Divorce Lawyers In D House, Pls I Need Some Advice by Nobody: 7:01pm On Nov 03, 2015 |
coogar: The British law may consider prenup. It was considered in the divorce settlement of German heir, Katrina. It is still discretionary. Then you don't know me. I can be either depending on the situation. One thing I have noticed so far is that men do not address gender issues with logic (no offense), you are guilty of the same crime you accuse women of. I also know that women are not blame-free. |
Re: Divorce Lawyers In D House, Pls I Need Some Advice by edwife(f): 7:07pm On Nov 03, 2015 |
Kimoni: Glad the court sees logic in making the accomplice to the crime pay. If you are aware that a man is married and still hold on to the relationship with him because it is your choice, then be ready to pay the other party. AyeeIdris: I like this statement and coming from a lawyer and a woman at that, i am very pleased. 1 Like |

daretodiffer: no effing way.... feminazis have invaded their entire legal system for any talk of pre-nup to be given any serious look. pre-nups would reduce the massive divorce pay-outs & london wants to continue to remain the divorce capital of the world.
thanks for making my point!
men address it with logic. the only problem is that women seem to think what's good for the goose is good for the gander in every case & that logic is flawed! the consequences of the fall out is different for both genders. no equality theory dressing up can change that fact. |

AyeeIdris: You have done a great job. In this section, women have been scared by people telling them that women in Nigeria don't get anything after divorce. I am glad it's not the case and I think more women should be made aware of this. Most of us don't support anybody who wants to reap where they did not sow. What we want is that women who have worked and built with their husband be well settled. Also, most people would not support divorce for silly reasons. However, most people think a serial cheat and a wife beater is a flimsy reason to divorce. 3 Likes |

babygirlfl:@bold blasphemy. How dare you? Even if she's been employed from the day one of the marriage and they've been married for 15 yrs, built houses together and acquired property together. She should be thrown out. Asking for anything else is unfair. That's how the west favors women against men. Giving them 50 percent of 'the man's' wealth. 3 Likes |

Re: Divorce Lawyers In D House, Pls I Need Some Advice by Nobody: 7:18pm On Nov 03, 2015 |
coogar: The consequences is different because you made it so. I hope you live long enough to rewrite the consequences with us Men like women are illogical and sentimental. They want to keep the status quo and are not willing to explore and analyse the grievances of women to reach a logical conclusion. For that reason, the law continues to systematically put them at a disadvantage What is good for the geese is also good for the gander especially in situations where it encourages and institutionalises behaviours that demeans, hurts and disrespects a particular gender and further worsen the situation by telling them to just suck it up. 3 Likes 1 Share |
