honourableseyi:I don't have to trade insults with you, nah, that will amount to degrading myself to your level! Just so you know, I never said NOUN as a tertiary institution is not accredited as you opined up there. I said and I still repeat, for now, as far as NOUN is concerned, studying LL.B programs (LAW) at NOUN is a very bad idea for any sane student (s) especially freshers who aspire to be called to bar (practice) upon graduation , because you and I know NOUN law graduates don't go to Law school for now. And you know that without this all important law school ish you're as good as a graduate without a certificate, simple. I don't know why you're so pained by the truth when you know it's that obvious. You also attested about this same truth(that NOUN law graduates don't go to law school upon graduation for now) in your write-up. Why then deny others the privilege of been abreast abinitio with this very truth and also knowing what they are getting themselves into, for them to then decide whether to go for a program that will prolly leave them stuck in the middle at the end of the day, even after huge amount of energy, money and time have been sacrificed or to opt out? I said this because I know of some current students undergoing LL.B program in NOUN without the slightest idea, that for now, they won't be called to bar upon graduation . And when discussing with these set of people, you discover that they are filled with deep regrets .And I'm sure you will want people to ignorantly keep making same mistake right? Seriously SMH for you sha! For prospectus students, I repeat, for now, you can study other courses at NOUN, but for Law? well do so at your own peril, until NOUN sort itself out. A word they say is enough for the wise. Unless you just want to study just for knowledge sake and not because you want to practice as a lawyer for now. Don't bother quoting me further, cos I won't be giving you the luxury of replying again. I have nothing against NOUN, I only stated the obvious, it's left for people to choose what they want with their lives. Shalom. |

CBNIM:For the fact that you replied gave me the in-depth joy that my message was well received, taken and digested. Meanwhile, I am not a kind of person that will come to social media to insult people. If you look at the major part of the post, you will see that I didn't exclude myself. That is why I used "we" in some part of the post and also "people" . But sometimes, truth will look like an insult if it is not well taken. I will really appreciate it if you can show me where I insulted you in my post and I will humbly and gladly tender my apology. Regarding the subject under discuss, check your first post, your reply to SlimBrawnie, and to me; do we have any difference? ofcourse you know we have. I wouldn't have disputed this issue with you if it is just about NOUN law graduates not going to law school, ofcourse that is in the public domain. But check this extract from your first post. "I pity some people sha who waste their time and resources studying in an institution that's not accredited by nuc". You may want to say you are not referring to NOUN, then which institution are you referring to? Mind you, assuming you pluralise it; like "institutions" I will surely know or assume that you are not referring to NOUN or atleast not only NOUN. But the subject under discuss is NOUN, you also referred to an Institution under NOUN discussion thread which centered around advantages and disadvantages of NOUN, then which institution are you talking about that is not accredited by NUC? The second part also which is the issue of accredited course or courses in NOUN. "because LL.B program is not accredited in NOUN for now". Law program has been accredited in NOUN by NUC. This is the same reply slimbrawine enumerated on his own post too. NOUN graduates not going to Law school is not because the course has not been accredited by NUC in NOUN but because CLE has not approved NOUN law graduates to participate. But that doesn't mean that it will never be possible in the foreseeable future. This is my stand and what I am trying to point out. Shalom |
