Koi koi... is the drama over? Turns left and right seems so grin

Back to the koko

My POE story

Traveled with KLM at 35 weeks + no fitness to fly was asked. Requested for wheel chair thinking it would save me at ORD.. lol.. though it fast tracked my meeting with CBP.

CBP : Are you here alone
Me: Yes
CBP: Scanned my fingers and took my picture. How long are you staying?
Me: 9 weeks
CBP: Can i see your return ticket. Handed it over to her. What will you be doing here for 9 weeks?
Me: Vacation and Child birth.
CBP: Where do you work?
Me: xxxx
CBP: How do you intend to pay your bills? How much do you have. I want the exact figure
Me: $7500 and I have my card.
CBP: Please come with me. She took me to the secondary inspection unit.

There were so many people there should be about 50 people or more. I knew i was in for a long thing.
I sat for 1 hrs, 2hrs, 3hrs! At a point i was like what is happening here? People that came after me were cleared and they left me there. I went to meet one of the officers and he told me they group the cases based on severity. That those that came after me and have been cleared had minor cases. In my mind I was like I don enteram o shocked. I went back to my sit. After about 15 mins I went to meet another officer and he asked if I was Nigerian I said yes. He said he saw my passport that it would soon be my turn. By this time i was already feeling dizzy cos my blood sugar had plummeted. Finally after about another 20 mins an officer called me. He was like you stated you will be staying for 9 weeks; We stamped you in for 10 weeks. They didnt request for any document ooo... No form of interview. I was like? In my mind why in the name of God was I kept here for close to 4 hrs! Anyways I just got up from the wheel chair didnt even wait for them to get someone to push me and left.

Went to the exit submitted my declaration form as I was about to go the Customs guy noticed I was pregnant. He said Madam please step back. My eyes nearly poped out of my socket.
CBP: Did you inform the embassy about your pregnancy
Me: Yes. Do you want to see it?
CBP: Yes
Me: Handed over the change of intent mail to him
CBP: How much do you have
Me: Cash 7500 card: ×××
CBP: Madam please come with me
Me: Really pissed now. I told him i had spent close to 4 hrs at d secondary inspection unit and they released me so what does he want
CBP: Please come with me this would be very short. Can I have your passport.
Me: Gave him my passport and he handed it over to another officer. The officer scanned it and recorded something and gave it back to me and told me I was free to go.

Na so my waka be o. Had already bought my ticket before i discovered this thread. Will not go through Ohare in a very long time abeg. While i was waiting they sent 3 people to their cell awaiting deportation. One was unfortunately a Nigerian guy. 2 guys and a lady. The lady was not pregnant.

Intending pregnant travelers should note that once you are pregnant and you tell them you would in most cases automatically be directed to secondary inspection unit in ORD

Just excited I made it down here against so many odds. Make una help me shout 3 halleluyahs grin grin grin

This thread/forum is constituted of ADULTS.

Noone held another's hands here just like no one will hold another's to their final destination no matter how close they might seem along the way.

You come here, you learn, you use info gained to achieve your goal. If afterwards you decide to stay and add value to others gud and nice, If not no qualms.

@Tvegas (nice name again) u became the veteran you are today by researching and acquiring meaningful info and not by sitting around to be spoonfed.

Check out the trend, we are becoming lazy to a fault. ..we just wanna file to one lain sourced out by a veteran until we sap the quality outta that point then trash it.

C'mon chief even you ignore until it's very important t then u wade into a matter that's y u may ve noticed anytime u comment then it's know a cap is about to blow.

If the so called cliques don't toss out d bitter pill of directing we newbies how to fish in the ever changing waters then you will see ppl making mistakes because due diligence is such hardworking these days.

Like I said before, 99 percent of members here are adults n patents. ...this is not bullying I won't totally agree with that. ..

Congrats once more Tobermom, which hospital did you use? My hospital send the BC might take as much as 4 weeks before the data gets to vital records. Which is really delaying already.
I used wyckoff, i would suggest your wife still goes to the vital records place. As long as the birth has been registered, it should be there. I was also asked to wait 4 days before going there but it was filed and sent to vital records on the second day.
All the best

@olokings, whilst I agree with most of your points, I think the bullying issue is for real..if I am lazy, who gives anyone the right to abuse me directly or indirectly? What is even intriguing is that the real people that dug out most of these opportunities people like me have used never bullied.

And the problem is not ignoring such post but the responses that come with it.

And yes, there is a clique - this is totally natural having spent a lot of time together. I have nothing against aligning to e-friends.

And before anyone tries to harass me, I read all part 1 of this thread and been following all parts since then.

I've just resolved to ignoring so many issues on this forum and just put it to individual differences. Some can overlook more than others.

And some behaviors are just inappropriate - and no one should blame any hormone for anything - we always choose.

GBU sir, you just spoke my mind. People like me don't like to comment on this forum except its absolutely necessary because some people appear to be the mafias on the thread and scare others away I was trying to be civil in my response so that they will not label me an agent to dr F. I once posted my comment on this issue of dr f because I personally sent him a mail when the issue first came up and he responded to my mail with an explanation but unfortunately the post was deleted by oga juswise for whatever reason I don't know
I still want to suggest that those of us that have gone and conquered should please not burn the bridge for those coming behind. It's abso important that we be discreet in our comments so as not to scare people away from the thread.
If you like bite me. Me i no kukuma be agent.

very apt!

I've been a silent follower for a while, and read all the parts. But I recognise the fact that I discovered this thread early and I had the TIME to go through. Some people might not be lazy, but might not just have a month or 2 to go through the threads properly before their interview or POE dates. I am not against telling others to research or go through prior threads, but lets face facts, some of these responses are downright RUDE or SARCASTIC, and could be termed as bullying.

We don't knw what some preggy mamas are going through, so if you cant help, why not simply ignore the post? or nicely tell the person to go read other threads. I think the issue is the way these messages are passed across sometimes, and the way other people will now come out to make fun of the person.

My 2 cents

Got to Detroit and was wheeled to immigration, the friendly Cbp asked the normal questions and requested for docs and sent me for secondary inspection. Let me add that Detroit airport was empty so they had a lot of time on their hands. The guy who wheeled me left me, the Cbp was initially acting all tough but he later relaxed and joked with me. Went through my documents, I had just 3kusd cash on me ( he didn't ask to see it). Had bank statement of 4m Naira which he asked to seHe concluded that I made sure all my bills were paid and receipts collected. Let me add he also talked about the UK visa that was denied ( how long will dt singular denial hunt me?) I was stamped till may 2016. Someone finally came to wheel me out after spending 15mins listening to other people's interview. Went to Agric and tuber of yam was seized. Finally with my wonderful sister inlaw and family. Baby is due Xmas day and I will be using henry-ford. May God grant us all safe delivery and all the best to the other moms who are just starting this mission.

Congrats @ girlloom, wishing u a safe delivery.

Please let us know wat d bill is like once settled.

@ tvegas, you are one of the veterans of this thread and I actually learnt a lot from you and gave credence in all my posts. However, I disagree in you saying some of us are trying to run dr F down.

I used him and came to give a feedback of my experience. I didn't even go into much detail cos of my identity. I believe this forum is an interactive one and indeed one mans meat is another mans ponmo. On the issue of bullying/clique, I am yet to see how faceless people can bully or form a clique. Still don't get it.

As you indicated, when a particular doc/hospital is overused, it gets boring that is why we always encourage individual researches like how you guys did it in part 1.

Chai. See as we like to create rancour where none exists.
How did an opinion about Dr F (which may have been wrong) with the intention of proferring solution to the visa denial issue turn to cyber bulling?
The ist person (I think miracle twinee ) disagreed and pointed out that this could be bad mouthing the guy. I try to clear the air and explain where I'm coming from.
Next thing somebody starts shouting clique and taa and cyberbully and other phrases I don't understand? In the bid to stop the supposed cyber bully, may we not end up being the bullies.
Let them that name the name of the Lord and call upon God's judgement try to show attiributes of God. A lil patience, a lil love.
Please whose abi which clique is this famous clique. Abeg na beg I de beg. Nobody helps anymore here. Let's treat the issues here... Cost and procedure. If u don't agree with a solution proferred, u trash that issue without more.

5 pages dedicated to it is ALL that is wrong. I for one I am against agent/ marketing and lazy newbies but we now overflog the horse even when it's dead and buried

Why do we find it so hard to ignore. No one will tell an ignored person to read up!!! Meanwhile my idea of bullying is not even telling newbies to read up ( I have no sympathy for that)

Ironically, same people that are witch hunting agents are the one promoting and advocating for pms. Hmm

This whole bullying thing is about forcing our individual opinions down other people's throat. Case in point dr A of Chicago or wherever he practices from and also dr F

Let people that had bad experiences post it by all means but it's people that haven't even used this drs that now add kerosene to fire and drag it to the point that it looks like a personal vendetta.

I introduced dr Zimmerman to this thread, I dint even get the opportunity to use him, as I was planning to for my second baby, will I kill myself about him? No

I used fagbohoun for my second baby and had a fantastic experience. I'm i using him this time? No, for cost saving reason

This new dr E, I identified her and planned to use her immediately I heard Zimmerman wasn't taking patients even before she became the rave of the thread, did my research on her and found out that she had a malpractice / negligence suit against her recently, but I decided not to comment until I have used her. Our words can make or mar people, let's exercise caution pls especially for situations u dint experience first hand
