But confusing is the fact that it was stated that your nominating agency has to be from your home country, but while applying, you will be expected to choose a foreign uni for this.

Nice bro. I managed to figure it out and started the app. As par the eligible courses, let's clarify. Are those courses listed as the ones u can choose from if you are selecting the respective UK school as your nominating agency, or are they generally the restrictions also for those applying through their home countries?

I didn't know much about the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship. I just checked the website and discovered that I already had admissions into 3 of the Universities. The problem is that I can't see the link to start the application. I saw somewhere that the website won't be accessible till the 20th of November. Also, to those who have applied, I hope it is not a rigorous process. I also hope I won't be asked to provide references.

Good for u. Just be sure d courses u applied for in those uni are the eligible CW Shared courses. And u're right about the 20th Nov. notice, methink they did it cos of d traffic for normal CW scholarship applications as deadline is close. Anyway, all the best bro

Glad u figured it out. Each uni participating in d Shared has its own list of eligible courses u can apply to. U can't choose a course outside this list



A UK university can only nominate u if u applied to one of their eligible courses for the Shared scholarship and selected them as ur
nominating agency on ur EAS application. Check the links for the prospectus and course above. There's better details there

Please I need honest advice. I have a female friend whom achieve a first class and has a PhD offer in a UK uni without msc. Do you guys tink she got a shot at this scholarship as she applied. She dnt want 2 go to abj n b disappointed. Pls any advice.
PS: her study plan is health/ disease related.

Please what is the difference between taught masters and research masters?
I'm confused on which to choose.

Taught Masters means that you'd receive lectures and submit a project for the award of Master's degree.

Research Master's (Or Master's by research) means that you may not receive any lectures, but most of the duration of the programme would be spent conducting research and writing a dissertation for the award of the degree.

I'm not sure the commonwealth scholarship covers Research Master's sha...check properly. I'd advise you apply for Taught Master's, as research Master's has some requirements (you must have established a good research profile) which you may not meet.

If she's got admission already, then she should go and and apply for the PhD. However, her PhD would most likely be longer than the normal Three Years because of the absence of Masters, which would mean that the Commonwealth Scholarship MAY not cover the duration of her study!

Pls could u inquire if they're following d "exact instruction" down to d date or they'll use a different date this time. God bless



Just is addition to GrammarNazi, Research Masters are usually 1.5yrs to 2yrs. But d CSC scholarship only covers 12month Master and 36month PhD programmes only. Maybe d CSC may support a 12months Research Masters if u can find one but I've never come across any 12month Research Masters programme. Good luck

Thanks. Most UK schools seem to just started 15/16 session. How can one apply for 16/17. I dont think UK schools have started reg for 16/17. Any info??

Assertion confirmed! the good news however is,we can apply for as many scholarships as possible. started my application but have not submitted,got a few more things to fill. plus they increased the number of referees from 2 to 3

Hello, just click on the shared scholarship, you should see applicant common wealth shared, click on it and then scroll down where you will see EAS, you register and select shared scholarship, then select your chosen school and.
