Am also planning to use AirFrance at 36 weeks, Please can u expantiate on your experience with them. U mentioned Medical report from port health, is it gotten on the day of your flight? Also, how bout your fit to fly from your hospital? Thanks for your response
Go with your Fit to Fly letter from your doctor, dey may request for it and may still send you to port health. Yes the port health report will be gotten during checking in on the day of travel . My fit to fly from doc was asked after wch I was sent to port health.

Hello NL fam,

So I have not been here for a while....that's because my precious son keeps me on a tight schedule. I had my bundle of joy on the 21st of October by Scheduled C section at WHMC. The baby was too big for me to deliver by natural birth. He weighed a whooping 8lbs 5oz. I give God all the praise!! My Son had a slight touch of Jaundice and had to spend a night under photo therapy. I have additional bills to pay, but what matters most is that my son is healthy and thriving. There was another little baby that wasn't so fortunate, he had to be transferred to another hospital.

So I'm moving on to the next step which is baby documentation. I already reached out to @Tvegas who has been so very helpful. Thanks again, I will be coming back again to update y'all on how it's going.

The hospital fit to fly is not acknowledged, you can go with it though. They will still send you to the port health office within the airport. At port health, they will examine you, read your BP and ask for your last scan result.

They will thereafter issue you a medical report which AF will accept. The med report is gotten same day of your flight so I'll advise you go say 3 hours before departure to avoid stories that touch. However port health may back date your date cos they say they don't clear above 32 weeks for flights.

Am sorry don't know how to access pm's saw yours. This is a sample of the med report

@ MiddyO Thanks for your reply, Im currently 25 weeks , my parents are in Nigeria,I have an 18 month old daughter as well. We are returning as a family so accomodation has been arranged however no jobs yet but fingers crossed hubby gets one before my visa appointment on 21st december. My father has decided to help with the trip any suggestions please?. I am using Doctoresparati and I have paid part of my hospital bills, I have a signed letter from the doctor agreeing to see me. I also have one which isnt signed as I have to sign on arrival and show proof of ID. Now my problem is presenting my case to the visa officer so i dont get rejected. I lived in the UK for 6 years and finally moving back home as visa was denied and I and hubby decided this was it. Previous posts have shown that they kind of make a big deal out of one being denied a uk visa my husband isnt travelling with me but im taking my mum and my daughter along. Please, I really need any advise I could get as this forum seems so helpful I have learnt a whole lot. Thanks in advance P.S im due late February.

Tobermom:

O you wont need a visa once you have the nigerian passport. I really dont know why people get the nigerian visa.I guess to each his own.

They get the nigerian visa bc they are not in states that issue Nigerian passport.... and travelling to these states for a passport is not cost effective....

Hi people,

finally got into Houston a week ago.
Had an awful POE story, had to spend 8h in detention ==> bottom line : don't show up there with less than 7 to 8 k$ in HARD CASH
my detailed story is on the way.
I will be staying with relatives for 3 weeks but after the baby comes, I would like to find a new accommodation for 3 and a half weeks
Any suggestion please ?

Ozycy & Shreknf thank u o. Didn't realise I still need to carry my 35+ weeks Doctors report to Port Health. Make I no go fall my own hand there.
@Shanaka, Pele! What an ordeal... Waiting to hear the full gist. Hotel Apartments would most be more expensive so you can try airbnb listings near your relatives place. I'm not very keen about sharing with strangers(or even sometimes relatives grin) to avoid unnecessary quarrels but thats just my opinion.

When exactly are you moving back? Can you show proof of solvency at the moment? I. e a solid bank account between yourself and your husband?

My main issue is that when the V. O asks what do you do, what will be your response? And what if they ask further what does your husband do? In my opinion it doesn't look good that both of you are not working, even if you show proof of solvency, including your dad's support. This, to me is the most important tie in this matter. The V. O needs to be assured that you or your husband have a constant source of income, (at least one of you).

I will suggest that you go with your mom only and leave your daughter with your husband.
Also you can't lie or deny your UK refusal, you will need to explain if asked about it.

Best of luck as you make your final decision.

kpele. Thank GOD you scaled through. I was also detained for 8 hours in Houston early 2014. They told me the money I had cannot foot my bills bla bla bla after delaying me for so long but finally left me. Is it your first time in USA? I think dey usually delay first timers more especially when its having baby issh. I may be wrong dou. And you probably entered the wrong hands.
I actually travelled with lesser amount this time, and didn't waste so much time in the secondary inspection.

Good morning all. Pls I just want to sure this is good enough for POE. I av been in contact with a hospital for a while , all our conversation has been through telephone, they said they don't send mail outside the US, I was able to persuade them to send it to a relative in US. What they sent is a letter quoting their fees and also stating that my wife has an appointment with both the financial department and a doctor on a stated date. My concerns: Is this good enough as the Preached doctor's/ hospital's correspondence? The letter was signed by a financial counsellor, pls do I need to push further for any other correspondence or Document. I just want to be sure Wifey is good to go.

About the birth certificate theyre saying two weeks oo
How did unget d birth cert in two days pls help!

I think the time frame within which to get the birth certificate depends on the city where the baby was born. I gave birth in Brockton which has only two hospitals for childbirth so the demand for birth certificate isn't so high. Boston is the busiest City with the highest number of hospitals in MA so it may take up to two weeks. However, you can advise your wife to check before two weeks because they usually give an allowance to cover delays, which may not necessarily arise.

Btw; anyone who has info on any other pocket friendly hospital apart from mount Sinai in Chicago pls help a sister out. Many thanks

St Francis evanston (chicago northside suburb) is pocket friendly as well as Roseland in southside but can't advise it cos of the drive by shootings.... No one wants to be a victim of circumstance..

I hope it won't be termed "cyber bullying" but your moniker isn't the biz, leaves room for conjectures & suspicion.. smiley

Madam, b4 JW raptures this one,
Call St Bernard's Hospital and request to speak with Doc Alston of Women's wellness clinic. He is an awesome doctor, over 30yrs Obgyn experience.
St Bernard is like 2500/3000 for the maternity package, without anaesthetics and Dr.Al will take 3200 for prenatal and delivery.
Payment is before delivery.

Dr.Al also uses Roseland Community Hosp. I think their package is slightly cheaper that St Bernard but the hosp take style far small. In the heart of southside.

By the Mount Sinai has an awesome package too, how come you don't want to use them?

Hope I was helpful.

That's southside and westside. Dark and desolate areas. Gloomy like there is no happiness there
Downtown, Northside and North suburbs like Evanston and Skokie are just awesome

Even when you want to believe it can't be that bad, the local TV stations make sure you don't ever entertain that thought..

Even westside is not for the fainthearted..

The day dem nef went to westside, she prayed throughout ... cheesy

If they are sharing a million benjies in both places, make dem give am to charity.. cheesy
