If your husband does not say anything about your cooking, you should be worried.

Mine complains a lot about my cooking even tho am not a bad cook. when I cook and he has friends over they don't stop commenting my food, but my hubby will never make a statement to agree with them instead he will do face like him nor hear anything. if he mistakenly stumbles on me while cooking, he will say things like why re u putting salt now, u are not supposed to, why did u add pepper now u should wait till u bring down the food before adding pepper, I are not stirring the pot of soup well u should stir it always towards the left, and the list goes on and on, it can be very tiring annoying and irritating especially when outsiders appreciate the same meal that was downcasted by my hubby, cos I cook for him and not outsiders.

Hmn, Have you tried talking to him about this?

Men should learn to acknowledge and praise their women. Corrections are ideal, but it should be done in love.

Seems you're confused.

One minute you say the ones whose husbands complain lack home-training, the next minute you still call those whose husbands don't complain pretenders.
*What kind of confusion is this?
*What if the man isn't complaining because because they are good at it?
*What if the man is one of those that doesn't have taste buds, do you think it's every man that knows sweet food? Some men eat every, as long as it isn't poison or sh*t.

The average Nigerian man doesn't go 'bout complaining about food, except the food is outrightly bad, he's a good cook or confirmed nag.

You are either trying to make excuses because you are guilty of the said offence or you did not fully understand the o.p's query from the start! I also wonder how you arrived at the bolded in my synopsis!

Please kindly read through all the submissions of everyone on the thread before jumping on my mention to air your points! You can clearly even see that the threads topic points to this PROBLEM! All these technicalities you want to start referring to regarding the man being a nag, does not know good food etc, is not what the thread is meant to identify! Read again!!!

Let me make this simple for you! Madam I am a man and I can cook! Basically because my parents trained me, my sister and brothers to fend for ourselves as soon as we all hit our pre teens! Even though we had cooks and stuff,@ 1 point it was O.Y.O as far as feeding yourself was concerned in my house! That is HOME TRAINING!

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I was for this when I was abroad schooling as a lowly student that could not always afford 5 star restaurant meals regularly!!!

Now! "Abegii oh abeg?" What is your take on a woman that CAN'T COOK and continuously receives complaints from her husband about it? Is it a solid achievement? Proper etiquette? Or a sign of superb home training! It is an easy question to answer please try not to make a song and dance out of it!

For women whose Husbands complain bitterly about their cooking, or women who don't have the time to appropriately attend to the food needs of their families, there's a bail out for you. Slim olobe's kitchen is a pre-order restaurant where you can call in to have any dish of your choice prepared and delivered to your homes and offices in real time. It'll save you so much stress and it is extremely cost effective. All you have to do is place your order, have it delivered to you, heat up a little in your kitchen and serve to your family fresh and sumptuous. Less stress, less cost and ofcourse, less complain. Call 07068612614 or 08180625626 to place orders.

pray tell me, what's the difference between the above and what I said bikonu?
I said, for a man to complain
*The food is outrightly bad (i.e) the woman is a bad cook, definitely not an achievement or any fault of the man.
*He is a good cook (i.e) you might fall into this category, and someone here already stated her husband is a good cook, so nothing she cooks satisfied him. It wasn't a function of her home training being bad or not.
*He is an outright nag (i.e) He might just like complaining for whatever reasons.

You needed to read and UNDERSTAND more, while removing the speck in your own eye. You're still focusing on the CAUSE, whereas you said this thread is on the PROBLEM. grin
*wheew
