REDS REUNITE AT OLD
TRAFFORD FOR UNICEF Updated: 12 November 2015 at 17:10 GMT A host of Manchester United greats, including Ryan Giggs, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Paul Scholes, will join David Beckham and Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford on Saturday for the 'Match for Children' in aid of UNICEF . Beckham will captain a Great Britain and Ireland team, managed by Sir Alex, to take on a Rest of the World XI, led by Zinedine Zidane and managed by Carlo Ancelotti. United fans will be particularly excited to see club legends like Giggs, Solskjaer, Scholes, Nicky Butt, Edwin van der Sar and Dwight Yorke back in action, alongside Beckham. And some of the best players to have graced the game, from European champions to World Cup-winners, including Patrick Vieira, Cafu, Luis Figo and Ronaldinho, will also be involved in the game on 14 November. The latest list of players is as follows*: GB and Ireland Manager : Sir Alex Ferguson Captain: David Beckham David Seaman David James Jamie Carragher Sol Campbell Phil Neville John Terry Ashley Cole Darren Fletcher Nicky Butt Trevor Sinclair Paul Scholes Gary McAllister Ryan Giggs Michael Owen Peter Crouch Alan Smith Rest of the World Manager : Carlo Ancelotti Captain: Zinedine Zidane Edwin van der Sar Raimond van der Gouw Cafu Fernando Hierro Fernando Couto Mikael Silvestre Maxwell Luis Figo Robert Pires Christian Karembeu Ji-sung Park Clarence Seedorf Patrick Vieira Michael Ballack Ronaldinho Dwight Yorke Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Patrick Kluivert Landon Donovan The match will see world-famous tenor Andrea Bocelli performing before kick-off. He commented: "Together with Muhammad Ali, David Beckham is by far the most admired sports idol for me, personally, and for the whole Bocelli family. We are all enthusiastic fans - we have always been rooting for him and we have followed and applauded his sporting triumphs." Pre-match entertainment will also be on hand from comedian Jack Whitehall. Beckham’s return to Old Trafford will complete his epic journey playing seven football matches across multiple continents while filming for an upcoming BBC documentary. During his world tour over the last week, Beckham has visited UNICEF’s work in Papa New Guinea, Nepal and Djibouti to see for himself how money from his '7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund' is helping to keep vulnerable children safe. Earlier this year, David marked his 10th year as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador with the launch of his fund and made a personal commitment to use his voice, influence and connections to raise vital funds, fight inequality and rally for lasting change for the world’s most vulnerable children across every region of the world. Money raised through profits from ticket sales and donations made on matchday will go to UNICEF’s work providing lifesaving care, including protection, health and nutrition for children in danger. If you would like to find out more or donate towards '7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund', visit 7.org or text SEVEN to 70111 to donate £3**. The 'Match for Children' will kick off at 15:00 GMT on 14 November 2015. Tickets are sold out, but highlights of the match will be shown on BBC1's Match of the Day on Saturday evening. *Players who were originally scheduled to play including Rio Ferdinand, Andy Cole, Fabio Cannavaro, Alessandro Nesta and Massimo Ambrosini can no longer attend Saturday’s match. |

afrodoc2: When I told some folks here that Hummels has been regressing since the 2013 finals they were arguing He has been poor for club and country recently |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 10:55pm On Nov 13, 2015 |
raumdeuter: I noticed it only last season, that is why i argued with guys here for Varane rather than Hummels. Last season during Dortmund's woeful period he was the most culpable in defense for most of the goals conceded. He looks very nice on the ball but he has no pace and he is often found in ridiculous positions when his team concedes. |

afrodoc2: Hummels is a German media darling, I think his mom works in the media, So he's always protected and feels entitled He is always the first to point fingers at other teammates for messing up but recently his club president Watzke has called him out and told him to shut up Next season i expect some EPL maga to pay 50M on him thinking they got the 2013 Hummels |

I hope it wont be us. I have been watching that Sane boy from day 1, if that boy matures and adds a lil bulk he could become dangerous |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by raumdeuter: 11:18pm On Nov 13, 2015 |
afrodoc2: Sane has a lot of potential and young too. Schalke keeps churning them out only if they can get a good coach |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SailorXY: 11:57pm On Nov 13, 2015 |
raumdeuter:NOBODY will pay 50m for Hummels. Dortmund had the chance to make good profit, not anymore! City already has Otamendi United has British Smalling/Jones/McNair plus LvG darling Blind Wenger can never pay such This leaves Chelshit & I'm sure they'll be more concerned with midfield & strikers. 1 Like |

afrodoc2: It won't be us, that ship has sailed!! When we wanted him, he was dilly-dallying. Now Smalling has come of age. If we get Stones, then our defence is solid for good 5 seasons!! 1 Like |
