Sure I'll be there at 7 if necessary, I'm more concerned about how long it would take because I'm traveling back home outside of Lagos.

From Ife. But getting to the embassy is not the issue, I want to know roughly when the interview process would be over so that I can plan a sleepover if necessary.

learnt the crime rate in LA is high and also wanna know the rate of accomodation off campus. You may not be able to help with this info since you aint a student or going in as one. Thanks all the same.
well I don't know how u got your facts and what u mean by the crime rate is high my wife lives there and I will be joining her soon and I don't think she ever tells me their are high crime rate. senseless killings happens everywhere in the world don't use that to set your goals and as far as accommodation is concern I think its cheap compared to other big cities and the cost of living in new Orleans is very affordable. I also have a church member doing is masters in one of the university in New Orleans well I don't have his contacts cos we are not that close. this is my two cent for u, u was given a student visa to study in new Orleans go for it don't misuse your visa cos if u scale through now it may haunt u in the future remember that America keep good records. peace out. my bad if there are typo errors I didn't proof read

Shouldn't exceed 3-4 hours including wait times. You can always get a bus to Ife even at 5pm in Lagos

Yes it is perfectly, but their card doesnt support cashback or money order as it reads it as a credit card instead of a debit card.

Hello to all Nairalanders, writing under this post was not my aim but don't know how to write an indepedent note out here. This forun as been of good help to many people including me though I have been a observer and not been contributing until now.
I went for my interview November 13 which was yesterday 6:30am and it was granted with ease. I can't remember all questions as at now coz I was nervous when It was almost one person to get to my turn coz I was number 8 on the line and the no.1 person was granted and after that it was the next person to me that was granted.
I made sure I observed every things I learnt on this forum which are:
No fidgeting
Look straight to the VO's eyes
Answer questions straight etc
The only question that I taught would av denied me of the visa I think was the more reason why I was given and the questiin was:
Why did the school waive English as in all sort of English test for me.

My answer was: I'm not sure but I think its because I'm proficient in English and English is my secondaey language.

He answered thus: I'm also proficient in English
I answered: with a sigh (looking at his eyes meaning he's a white man I don't expect him to av any test of English, that was in my thought)
He asked again: do you av any document showing they waived it?
I answered: looking at my document infront of me saying Now
VO: he brought out a white pap iner and circle where to pick my visa.

Thanks to God and the nairaland colleagues who made this possible and easy for me. Keep the good work going... I'll be coming back to ask where to get a cheap clight to Texas Dallas by December.

I want to say a big thank you to Gurus in the house and the Nlanders, people asking relevant and irrelevant questions, all of that contributed to my success story today. I am most grateful to y'all and to God almighty who favoured me.
My transcript goes thus:
Me: Good morning with a warm smile ( just as I learnt here to always keep a smiling face)
Vo: how are you (smiled back)
And said please pass me your documents
Me: I did
Vo: I can see you are going to study Masters of art in TESOL at Murray state Kentucky is that correct ?
Me: yes sir
Vo: okay( typing God knows what)
What was your Bachelors in ?
Me : English Language
Vo: continues typing
When did you graduate?
Me: 2012
Vo: what have you been doing since then?
Me: teaching English language at a secondary school. Vo: what do you want to do with this course after you finish ?
Me: I want to come back to Nigeria to continue teaching English.
Vo: I can see you have a global scholarship blabla how much is the schorlaship and why did the school give you?
Me at this point I was a bit confused cause I didn't really know the accurate figure of the scholarship but thank God my friend who looked at my i20 the previous night mentioned 6k global scholarship blabla so I just quickly said 6k and also said the school granted me that cause of my result, although I didn't really think that was why sha but that's what I said to the Vo and he nodded.
Vo: how many schools did you apply to?
Me: 4
Vo: mention them
Me : I listed them out.
Vo: did any other school give you scholarship ?
Me : No
Vo: who's sponsoring you?
Me: my uncle
Vo: did he sponsor your undergrad?
Me: yes
Vo: I am granting you a visa pls pick up at blabla I didn't wait to here the rest of the story oooo...
He didn't request for a single document oo..
I was super excited, after getting a denial at Canada. God made way for me to Obama land. thank you guys
God bless you all, big ups to all the gurus and Nlanders. Long live Nigeria and Long live Nland. # gracias
My 2kobo is please pray as much as you can cause God answer prayers and also prepare as much as you can and be confident while answering your questions. And success is yours. I wish other Nlanders Gods favour as you go to claim your Visa.

You need to contact the department to which you want to apply concerning graduate assistantships. A list of Graduate Coordinators for all Texas A&M University-Kingsville Graduate Programs is on the following URL: http://www.tamuk.edu/grad/admissions/grad_coordinators.htm

Our office offer scholarships to students are on a first come, first serve basis, which means that the students who apply, send their documents on time, become complete, get admitted and who qualify for the scholarship (have high GRE scores and GPA) are the ones who get offered the scholarships, if they are available. Also, please keep in mind that the eligibility for scholarships changes with time as we run out of offers.

We will need to evaluate your transcript and calculate your grade point average based on our 4.0 scale. We are unable to guarantee an offer at this time; we only guarantee after we receive an application and supporting documents. The scholarship committee offers a limited number of scholarships, so do not wait to apply and get considered!….We do run out of offers every semester!

We look forward to your application and supporting documents!

Here's a reply I got for A&M Kingsville when I enquired about Funding GAs and co.

Yankee dudes.....which one be scholarships....plus explain....thanks

Hello everyone, i'm currently working on my MBA thesis in UK, i am interested in studying a DBA shortly after in the USA, though i currently have a US tourist visa, i need information on schools that don't require a GRE or GMAT as i don't want to go through that stress. Information on PhD in Public Health without GMAT or GRE requirements will also be appreciated.

Thanks as i anticipate a quick response.

Oh gre would be the least of your stress. PhD itself is stress race to the power of infinity.
To think tthat you feel gre is stress and you want to do a PhD is quite hilarious.
