If i can remember correctly, the french and americans initiated 'bring back our girls' (as a support to nigeria when she was in need),while most nigerians(esp southern nigerians) saw the kidnap of chibok girls as a hoax by northern nigerians.they even had the notion 'na dem dey kill and kidnap themselves...wetin concern me.na dem know'...the 'bbog' did pressurize world power in assistin nigeria(of which dia assistance were decline by then govt)....in case u dont know,'pray4paris' is the french version for 'bbog'...if d french supported my country when we needed help,y wont i support dem when dey need 1

While some Nigerians sympathize and pray for France, I hope they remember we've got a bigger issue (Boko Haram) that equally needs prayers and wiping out?

Majority are just ass lickers. undecided

That's what Fela Anikulapo Kuti described as follow-follow mentality. In this case it means the minds of Africans are controlled from satellite entities who still believe Africa is a modern colony. This in itself is as a result of brainwashing colonial education we inherited from Britain and France which makes even the most educated African remain a stooge to western ideals.

Different things are open to different interpretatations. For me I see no slavery in people trying to empathise with a nation going through an ordeal. It is something temporary not permanent. The slavery actually is when our politician steal our money, make an average citizen suffer and then still go unpunished.

"A tiger must act and not shout its tegritude". W S The above quotation aptly captures my state of mind at the moment. I would like to remark briefly that the tendency to measure patriotism by the outright rejection of #pray for Paris is yet another attempt at self-denigration. All the cases that have been advanced to oppose the humanely inspired act of solidarity are just flimsy and uneducated. We must liberate ourselves from hate and act with courage to face the enormous task of achieving peace and love in our various communities. The world must become what God intends it to be.

It's not a shame, it's not hypocritical and it's not slavery either.

Ciara or some American musician made a song about terrorism and Boko-Haram, how may Nigerian/African artist has done that.

Attacks in Nigeria aren't documented well in Nigeria, the Nigerian government and people alone don't do anything about it. So who's the hypocrite.

Those criticizing Facebook, didn't celebs and powerful people from different countries show support for Nigeria, how many of you in this thread showed support? How did you show support?

Facebook is largely private so mark Zuckerberg and other shareholders can do whatever they like.

Listen to M.I.'s "Another Man". It was about terrorism and the Nigerian soldiers. Of course it wont make waves because it is not the type of jam that appeals to most Naija youths.

I don't pay attention to attention-seeking person like the Reno. We know that he is carrying that inferiority complex with him and want to use it to define everything.

neolboy:
Author and TV host, Reno Omokri, has condemned the Paris attacks while urging Africans and Asians to set themselves free from mental slavery.

The former media aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, said it is a display of low self esteem for Africans and Asians to put French flags on their profile as a result of the Paris attacks when they do not put their own nation’s flag on their profile when terrorists attack their own nations.
“Terrorism is evil and condemnable. But we should not only cry when it happens in rich nations. We should treat it the same wherever it occurs. I sympathize with France, but why are Africans and Asians putting French flags on their profile when they do not put their own nation’s flag on their profile when terrorists attack their own nations? Are French lives more precious than their own brothers and sisters who are killed daily by home grown terrorists like the satanic Boko Haram and Al Shabab,” he queried.

The New Media savvy preacher, added that Africans and Asians should stop worshiping the Europeans.
“Africans and Asians should remember the words of Bob Marley and “emancipate yourself from mental slavery”. Terrorism is bad everywhere and not just in Paris. In every area of our lives we exhibit this low self esteem. We celebrate and worship European soccer and denigrate our own leagues. Now we sympathize with European victims of terror and are indifferent to our own victims. In Nigeria there are 1.5 million citizens displaced by terror. Cry for them first my brothers and sisters,” he said on his Facebook post.
The flag of France has adorned Facebook profile of many across the world in solidarity with France over the Paris attacks.

True talk, we are quick to follow the trend just to identify with other western countries while our own country sufferes more calamity than them. The number of people that died in France's terror attack is nothing compared to the number of people that die in BH attack monthly.
Abeg charity begins at home.

Anyway my sympathy to those affected in France.

Well if u re here calling other pple slaves only to go back and shout one nigeria then u re a big hypocrite. I hope u guys saw the thread about the francophone countries paying money to France in the name of colonization, that should be a very debilitating info that should give u an insight into the heartless nature of the supposed colonial masters and their impeding influence to the growth of Africa. They don't give a hoot about u, only when we realize this and just like America fight of every influence of the colonial masters only then ll u have the freedom and growth u desire. Start with the dissolution of this whiteman's project called nigeria and other African countries should follow suit by fighting off every colonial influence.
You can feel free to insult me but before u do so try giving me a better explanation for Africa being backward even though it is neither lacking in the resources nor the Know-how.

I used it as my profile picture and i don't regret it because i see the actions, serious and sincerity the at which the french are condemning the terror attack, both their president, prime minister and the citizens, had it been in nigeria,we will be hearing statements like 'an attack on boko haram is an attack on the north' or 'i will make the nation ungovernable'.when gej used ihejirika to dismantle bh,they reported him to amnesty international but we all saw how the french comported themselves when hollandes unleash mayhem on the terrorist.
Team#saynotohypocricy#
shame!!! So it's the government's action and/or inaction that determines your show of empathy to your fellow country men! Arghhh! To think you are even being defensive of such despicable act! Emancipate yourself from mental slavery please!! A life in nigeria is the same as that in Syria and that in France! If you haven't been so sympathetic about your own plight and rot, what moral ground and audacity do you have about another? Because they are white? Mtshewww
