There is a good reason why black people are progressing because of enviousness. You are an epitome of it. If you can think to sympathize with others as mental slavery then something must be wrong with the way you see yourself. You have carry inferiority with you.

You should ask yourself the last time you sympathised and commiserated with your brothers and sisters killed in the north in their tons! That's the point. Hey guys stop this pettiness, the name you called your dog is what the world calls it. When #bringbackourgirls was taken with the right pinch the whole world trend. The same person raising this does not handle such issues well during their regime so it was ignored. If a boy is killed in America the president comes and have a press conference so the whole world trend it. If BH kills 250 even a minister in Nigeria says nothing only on social media. Why will the world take us serious. Please let's be adult if we choose to be one.

bro you are point. exactly the same thing I told my friends. when the atrocity of Boko haram carnage in Nigeria was at its peak, especially with the issue of the chibok girls the whole world stood in support of Nigeria against the evil, but one thing we should understand is that, did even the Nigerian government admit that these school girls were kidnapped initially? the answer is No. how do u support someone who fails to realize that he has problem. back to the French issue I strongly stand in support of the French people and government and the fight against terrorism wherever its been experienced.

neolboy:
Author and TV host, Reno Omokri, has condemned the Paris attacks while urging Africans and Asians to set themselves free from mental slavery.

The former media aide to President Goodluck Jonathan, said it is a display of low self esteem for Africans and Asians to put French flags on their profile as a result of the Paris attacks when they do not put their own nation’s flag on their profile when terrorists attack their own nations.
“Terrorism is evil and condemnable. But we should not only cry when it happens in rich nations. We should treat it the same wherever it occurs. I sympathize with France, but why are Africans and Asians putting French flags on their profile when they do not put their own nation’s flag on their profile when terrorists attack their own nations? Are French lives more precious than their own brothers and sisters who are killed daily by home grown terrorists like the satanic Boko Haram and Al Shabab,” he queried.

The New Media savvy preacher, added that Africans and Asians should stop worshiping the Europeans.
“Africans and Asians should remember the words of Bob Marley and “emancipate yourself from mental slavery”. Terrorism is bad everywhere and not just in Paris. In every area of our lives we exhibit this low self esteem. We celebrate and worship European soccer and denigrate our own leagues. Now we sympathize with European victims of terror and are indifferent to our own victims. In Nigeria there are 1.5 million citizens displaced by terror. Cry for them first my brothers and sisters,” he said on his Facebook post.
The flag of France has adorned Facebook profile of many across the world in solidarity with France over the Paris attacks.

you remember the chiboks girls issue , the world had to force the Nigeria government to make an announcement ..

there have been multiple terror attacks in Nigeria but , no announcement no nothing , thank God for the media , we will not even hear anything.. we are a terrible arrogant race , we want to world to focus on us but we don't focus on ourselves , basically , we don't know how to take care of ourselves , that's slave mentality too..and that's why we are third world countries even with all the resources we have ..

Oh, f**k off! You think you are smart and make sense but you are not. I can't see how sympathy is deemed mental slavery in your statement as binding. Not until you can prove it with facts I can only see you as an individual who is inferior and always see attention given to others as oppression whereas deep down you feel you aren't receiving such treatment and must complain. That is a big sign of inferiority.

You must have to see beyond your envious self and do something so that your voice would be heard. Nobody is going to do that for you. France is able to show the world what happened that day by coming out to condemn it en mass and make the world see it. Here you are in Nigeria without reporting this problem of Boko Haram at the same magnitude and condemning it to the world yet expect others to come and do it for you. You must be silly. If you can not make use of the social media created by the developed world to do that to your own advantage don't expect others to come and do it for you. You are the dumbest person alive to reason that way.

I don't see anything you have invented that make me want to see you as a superior person at this point in time. What I see is a person with a low self-worth who is trying to act as though you are intelligent. So shove your smelling pride in primitiveness in your f**king a$$. I am not going to listen to what irrelevant person like you have to say about what I should do with my freedom. You are the hypocrite here.

The world several times has stood with Nigeria on terrorism,we've seen social trends in solidarity with Nigeria against Boko Haram,we've seen the BringBacKOurGirls Campaign become a mantra that was spread across the globe for months.

The same France has staged protests against Boko Haram activities.

Terrorist activities have been televised on international media, yet Nigerians still say its propaganda to destroy Nigeria's image.A clear reality and many openly support that the world needs not know what is fighting us deep within.

Nigerians are te hypocrites here. Its a concerned individual who made the app for the French Flag background picture, has any Nigerian made similar applications to voice out against terrorism in Nigeria on Facebook or any social media and it was rejected.

The West instills in the heart of the world the dangers of terrorism by constantly reporting non-stop for days on attacks such as this. How this is done, they have the right channels to communicate this-CNN,BBC,Sky,EuroNews,Aljazeera and many others.

Is it NTA or AIT that wants to give information on happenings involving terrorism in Nigeria on the mainstream to the world.

Countries like America and France when attacked by terrorists are not divided along ethnic and religious lines as we are in Nigeria. We see people of different sects in Nigeria with differing views as to terrorists activities.

The real hypocrites are people like Reno and many Nigerians who support his foolish opinion.

Attacks in Nigeria aren't documented well by the Nigerian media.

the Nigerian government and people don't do anything about it. So who's the hypocrite?

So you are criticizing Facebook, didn't celebs and powerful people from different countries show support for Nigeria during the Chibok Girls saga, how many of you in this thread showed support? How did you show support?

Ciara or some American musician made a song about terrorism and Boko-Haram, how may Nigerian/African artist has done that.

Facebook is largely private so mark Zuckerberg and other shareholders can do whatever they like.

We only take those who take themselves serious, serious. It's how humans naturally are.

We Nigerians are to subjective and emotional largely due to our overly religious society.
Oh, please. Stop being so naive. I live in the UK, and the Nigerian Chibok girls didn't even get half as much attention as the attack in France. The massacre that left hundreds dead earlier this year barely got any attention either.
This is a Nigerian forum, mostly used by Nigerians as well as other Africans. So, it isn't about how Europeans and non-blacks/Africans are responding to it, but fellow Africans.
Hundreds of university students in Kenya were killed not to long ago, were Africans outraged, praying for Kenya, and showing solidarity then? You buy into Western propaganda too much.

I respectfully disagree! The reason most people are showing a sign of respect for France is because it is well documented by the media. Leadership starts from the top, private companies, media and the government should have been the ones to encourage the display of solidarity whenever such events happen in Africa especially Nigeria. The real mental slavery is from bad governance and lack of foresight by our country's past and present leadership. As the face of communication for the GEJ led government, why didn't you encourage similar actions after a Boko Haram attack? You and your likes are the main problem of Nigeria!

I am a Nigerian. I am aware of that and I have condemn it. The #BringBackOurGirls twitter tag has been used by me many times. The world joined hands with those who created it to condemn Boko Haram. The use of France flag is almost the same thing. Just like the way #BringBackOurGirls twitter tag stands for condemning Boko Haram the same way the flag for France. Go and get your head checked.
