Exactly one week ago, BN brought you news of a Nigerian couple that was arrested in the UK for falsely claiming about £43,000 in benefits. The story elicited much fury from readers who were disappointed at the bad image they portrayed about Nigerians abroad.

It is therefore saddening to read news of yet another Nigerian couple arrested in the UK for securing £87,000 from fraudulent claims totalling £3.8million over four years.

Adeola Thomas, 38, and his partner, Abimbola Abiola, 34, managed to pocket £87,000 after using 1,400 stolen identities to complete 2,495 handwritten tax and benefits claims forms. ...... http://www.bellanaija.com/2012/09/29/nigerian-couple-in-the-uk-jailed-for-trying-to-claim-3-8m-in-benefits-scam-using-1400-identities/

47 year old Nigerian married father of three, Keith Ogunsola, (pictured above) a science teacher from Banstead in Surrey, has been told by a court in the UK that he will go to jail for a long time for the rape of a 14 year old student in his school. Mr Ogunsola is accused of repeatedly molesting the unnamed pupil under the pretense of giving her "extra science tuition". He would book hotel rooms and lure the female victim there, where he would proceed to have sex with her. The court heard yesterday that Ogunsola started molesting the girl in 2001 but she didn't tell anyone for a long time because she didn't think anyone would believe her story against a teacher. This is the first time the paedophile teacher will be in court. In 2008, he grabbed a 14-year-old pupil and stuck his tongue in her mouth while they were in his school office. Ogunsola also asked girls in his chemistry class whether they had performed MouthAction....... http://www..com/talk/topic,108437.0.html

A Nigerian fugitive, Abdul Adewale Kekere-Ekun, who was arrested on February 12, 2015 by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, for identity theft-related offences, has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the United Kingdom.
He was jailed for the murder of 18-year-old Marcus Hall in 2001, following a brawl outside Luton’s Atmosphere Nightclub, where the popular music group, So Solid Crew, had performed. ..... http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/189637-nigerian-fugitive-wale-kekere-ekun-jailed-for-life-in-uk-for-murder.html

Not particularly Biafrans. Or are they? What an illiterate, hateful prick!

hehehe... e pain am cheesy grin

There's nothing painful about anything.

I'm not even an easterner but a proud Nigerian.

I'm only disappointed in your likes.

Your likes are a disgrace to humanity the more you see things through ethnic lenses.

How are you helping the system?

What makes you think those returnees wouldn't be employers of labour tomorrow, you inclusive?

Nigeria isn't easy and it's hardly the fault of these people.

Insulting them doesn’t help.

No part of MMIA looks like that, at the very least they won't need to pass through where they are once they land at the terminal. Something doesn't add up esp with those pictures.

Yh one can doubt but those pictures are from BBC africa's twitter handle

TVC has just confirmed that it was actually 50 Nigerians deported and not 500. Some of the 50 are even ghanians and other Africans carrying Nigerian passports.

You know how when you are in a bad place and you see other people being somewhat happy and it pains you. People ask you "hey, how's life?" and you put on a fake smile and say "omo, everything just de bam". Then, one day, those people who you often observe being happy all of a sudden are in the same bad place you are. All of a sudden, you are happy because, you know what they say, misery loves company. See all the negative comments on NL. You mutherfuckers are in a bad place and you have the nerve to open your phucking mouths to say "i love Nigeria my country", "Nigeria is awesome". Awesome my foot. If it was that awesome, you would not be jubillating over someone elses misfortune. Just by your comments alone, one can tell that you all are unhappy and thoroughly depressed. Misery really does love company.

This is sad. We aren't Syrians or terrorists n all. I guess the growing number of Nigerians involved in UK politics is becoming a problem. There is a crackdown on Naija. Plus our citizens r too much derr sef. Then again FRANCE isn't chasing all the Côte D'ivoire n sengal pple in their country nau. I feel sorry for these guys sha. As den dey so they can't enter again for some years I bet. Its embarrassing too. After living with white folks in an OK economy u come to naija to come n eat roadside bread n beans or find hustle. Saddest part is the ones with family curse won't be able to survive again. Too sad.
