if you take a look at this line up, we've got a whooping 5creative players in Mata herrera young carrick and blind, i'm quite convinced dat none of this players i mentioned 've played together this season, not to talk of playing in the position we saw them play last season. Our attackers are the ones killing us, not the philosophy.

I think Mata and Herrera have lined up behind a striker this season. But Herrera is injured now.

It looks to me Mata plays better if Val is the one behind him.

Who has a return date for our injured players?

Bringing in Fellaini for Schweini was a wrong move. Fellaini cannot control the midfield as Schweini. The midfield collapsed after that sub.

He brought in Young which brought life to that LWF. He later sub Darmian and moved young who was lively on the LWF to the RB which also killed any chance of creating something from LWF. He disorganized the whole system with his subs and rearrangement.

There were times when Fellaini was caught between going forward and staying in the midfield. He`ll head when he`s supposed to chest the ball.

I was fuming when he brought in Fellani for Schweinsteiger, but I thought he won't be dumb enough to commit another gaffe until the bastard removed Darmian for Mata. In short, Gaal is the worst thing to happen to United in its entire history!!

I still don't get the reason why people are blaming van gaal Philosophy for united's lack of goal return, no be united embark on 6winning streak last season twice?? Our attackers dis season are simply not up to par, wingers can't deliver excellent crosses nd beat dia men the way young and di maria did last season, blind taking corner kicks says alot about that. I don't need to argue much further, just get ordinary sadio mane to man the right wing and young to mount the left wing make we see weda goals no go show, man.utd attacking trio of depay rooney and lingard isn't better than any of the epls top 4teams attackers not to talk of that of the elite teams in europe, sterling silva de bruyne, hazard willian pedro, sanchez ozil walcott, heck they are not even better than milner coutinho and lallana. Stop all dis van gaal is a fool nd pray for the team to get players lyk aubamayang and greizman.. Even Gaitan

And who sold all our attackers and best crosser, di Maria? So i should blame Adelana1 instead of Gaal? angry angry

Was about the roles of each player. It is the role of Bastian to move with the ball and Morgan to shield the back, and besides these players have their attributes.

This is why we need variety of players. Players with different attributes. Towards the end of the game, PSV came out but we didn't have a player to run with the ball utilizing the gaps.

lol. We even have no striker on the bench to be called upon in situations like yesterday instead Fellaini. undecided

Anderson of 2008 would have made fun of that midfield yesterday with amount of space left wide open to penetrate with bursting forward runs. It's surprising a young man like Sneiderlin cannot travel with the ball even 20 yards. We need variety of players for different occasions not only those who can pass.

Even Ashley Young would have utilized those spaces, not to talk of Valencia. Imagine, Smalling became our Ramirez yesterday. Except he's limited once he gets close to the final third.
reason why de sale of di maria hurt me real bad, only if rooney hasn't lost his pace energy nd sharpness he would've wrecked havoc, giving the amount of space available for him to utilise

yea, i think mata's recent dip in form is due to vaL's injury, he seems to play better and drift infield comfortably with val at right back.
I don't know our injured players return date, but i think jones and herrera would be fit for the match against leiceister

Someone told me yesterday that this is the kind of game Maria would have utilized the gaps in midfield.

I remember when we played Leverkusen. Jones and Giggs in midfield. Leverkusen appeared to have an upper hand. But Jones wins the ball and passed to Nani or Giggs. You needed to see the quickest of ball transition. Nani was particularly delightful, he dropped very deep. Once he received a pass, voom off he goes with it to the final third before you could pronounce NANI.

Val and Nani were in the wings and it was a typical Manchester United attacking display, great counter attacking play particularly.

For me rooney was decent in the first half and utter sh't in the 2nd half, hell he would have caused a goal for PSV if not that Locadia decided to shoot from outside the box. Memphis was our worst player on the night, couldn't dribble, couldn't even pick a pass and held onto the ball far too long. I'm beginning to think that he should be pushed upfront or behind the striker where his brain fart will be limited. PSV were more mobile than us yesterday, the few times they got the ball, you could sense an urgency to put it into the box and attack. Had it been a better team, we would have lost.

For the first time since he came to United, Morgan was crap yesterday, he didn't make any forward runs, looked confused with the ball and gave it away cheaply plus he was being dragged around by the likes of guadado. Martial was our best attacking threat yesterday but he had some few chances which he should have fired a shot but instead he passed it, thereby wasting the opportunity. I think fellaini kept losing the ball and our midfield lost it in the 2nd half.

El jefe is another culprit in yesterday's debacle. We all knew that PSV will sit deep and try to hit us on the break kinda like the CSKA match where he went gung ho but instead he kept Mata on the bench and when he eventually removed Memphis and brought on young, he farted leprechauns by first removing darmian and then moved young who was finally getting a lot of joy on the left side to the right back position. WTF?

I don't think lingaard should be starting all our games IMO, he offered little going forward and often had to drift in field to find a bit of joy and we are here screaming about how Mata doesn't take on players instead enjoys drifting infield. We have it all to do in Germany, nothing less than a win and I believe we will win in Germany and CSKA will cause a lot of trouble in eindhoven.

Finally El jefe should fire our attack team coach cos we don't trouble the opposition gks and defense and we create so little going forward. The transition of the ball is too slow and this possession philosophy ain't working since we lack the players to perform with the style. We also lack in the defensive unit, bar smalling who was decent yesterday the rest were torn to shreds by the quick feet of PSV's offensive players.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by tess1(m): 10:19am On Nov 26, 2015
We have another creative outlet in Young but i don`t know the reason why he`s hell bent in converting him into a fullback. Young on the left offers the team creativity, assist and goals. Di Maria left because of him but now he`s not using him properly. Young should be starting ahead of Memphis until there`s an improvement in his game.

Apart from LVG`s philosophy, his choice of personnel and subs can give someone heart attack.

At a point yesterday, i was praying PSV don`t score when the pressure was so much that no one was able to tame those player`s crisp passes. And that was because they fancied their chances.

When Schweinsteiger went out no ball was going to attack and Rooney dropped deep later on to try to help the midfield. But he could not use speed and energy to cover the grounds in his front when he got the ball. If he had the kind of energy he used against Watford he would have wrecked havoc. I wonder if he got tired as he has not trained until Tuesday. This is why we need players with different ability to change game when need arises. I think even Herrera could have given us something if he came late on, but the yeye injuries plaguing us.

Our wingers were poor last night, utterly poor!! Lingard and Memphis were pathetically annoying with no new innovation or trickery in their ammunition All they were attempting to do was dribble and dribble without looking to cross the ball, something di Maria does with aplomb. I've never supported selling of di maria and i'll never support it. We lost a rare gem in that guy no thanks to Gaal's hatred of him.

Not exactly so.
........

“Attacking wise, they just don’t look a threat, they don’t look good enough, they don’t look like they can score goals,” the former United midfielder told
BT Sport.
“Martial, for me, he’s still got a lot to prove goalscoring wise, he isn’t a centre-forward where he lives for goals, he likes to play outside of the box, he likes to drift to the left wing, he doesn’t look like he’s bothered if he misses a chance, he doesn’t look bothered if he scores a goal, where as a centre-forward, all you live for is scoring goals. He doesn’t look that type of player to me, and maybe Manchester United need to go into the transfer market for one of them.”

Louis Van Gaal's side now must beat Wolfsburg in Germany in their final game to ensure qualification from Group B and Keane believes Rooney is not leading from the front as a captain should.

"It seemed a strange atmosphere at Old Trafford tonight, they lacked cutting edge," Keane said, speaking on ITV after the match.

"You got the impression the players were waiting for something to happen, rather than going and making it happen. Wayne [Rooney] was on about lack of composure and quality, but I think he was as guilty as anybody. He needs to step up to the plate.

"You look at Wayne's legacy at Old Trafford, it's absolutely fantastic. His goals record is brilliant. But now he's the captain there's more responsibility and I think he's got to do a lot more."

Rooney, who has managed just two Premier League goals this season, is enjoying one of the worst statistical seasons of his career and Keane believes the England captain is not as fit as he should be.

The 30-year-old attended a WWE Raw event on November 9 and was involved in a stunt where he theatrically slapped wrestler Wade Barrett in front of his six-year-old son Kai.

Keane highlighted this as evidence that Rooney is not putting in enough work off the field to ensure he is at his best on it.

"I always question certain players what are they doing off the field," Keane said.

"Last week I saw him slapping a wrestler and I'm thinking 'Why is he getting involved in all that nonsense?' grin There's no benefit to him. I'd have a look at that side of it.
grin

"It's certainly not helping him. I wouldn't begrudge him going out and enjoying himself, but if you're not at it yourself you've got to have a look and lead by example. He didn't do that tonight. He doesn't look sharp, he looks awful.

"Mentally he doesn't look really sharp; physically he doesn't look in great shape. He needs to have a look at himself."

The most annoying thing about El jefe these days is that he doesn't seem to care about anything. Last season he listened to fans, ex players and pundits alike. He changed formations and personnel. When we were playing the 3-5-2 formation the fans screamed for the 4-4-2 formation and he changed to it but somehow this season, he doesn't give two shakes of a rat's about anything. Must we always line up in the 4-2-3-1 formation? How about the 4-3-3 formation which was clearly our best formation and delivered the best football and play since the start of his tenure. Right now I wish his contract is expiring this summer so that we can go for the likes of pep, carlo or simeone.

When Dadehmola and I were saying we don't need to waste our money on CR7, some people were kicking against it, i hope this article helps buttress my points as to why we shouldn't buy CR& back.

He’s still a magnificent specimen, would sell a shed-load of shirts and possibly score plenty of goals but petulant Portuguese is not the player he was

And what next for Cristiano Ronaldo after yet another petulant performance in which he spent much of his time hiding, sulking, remonstrating with colleagues for not teeing him up for the perfect finish, staring to heaven and the bench as if to say “Don’t you hijos-de-puta know how much you’re damaging the CR7 brand with this incompetence?”

Then afterwards reputedly telling the dressing room that either Rafa Benitez goes or he does, leading to a flurry of headlines linking him with a move back to Manchester United next summer, Ladbrokes cutting the odds of that happening to 6/4 and, thanks to Louis van Gaal not killing it in its tracks, a story that will run and run until next June.

The legs have grown this week with Spanish paper Marca claiming Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with sealing the deal, and PSG ready to counter with an opening wage offer of £400,000-a-week.

Which leads to the most pertinent question of all:

Despite Wednesday night's goals against a woeful Shakhtar Donetsk, would bringing him back be really worth it?

To trump PSG, they’d have to offer £450,000-a-week, which is £23.4million-a-year, or £93.6m over the four-year deal he would demand.

Throw in the £70m, plus agent’s facilitating fee, it would cost to buy him (bearing in mind there’s still two years left on his contract and Real squeezed £60m out of Ed Woodward for Angel di Maria) and you’re looking at almost £170m for someone who, by the time next season starts, would be six months short of his 32nd birthday.

Sure, he’s still a magnificent physical specimen, would sell a shed-load of shirts and possibly score plenty of goals.

But any United fans believing they’d get the same player who left six years ago would be deluding themselves.

He doesn’t do anywhere near the amount of running or dirty work he used to, believing that’s the task of lesser mortals.

Nor does he put that many crosses in these days, preferring to arrive late into the box when all the hard work’s been done to up his goal stats.

Would he like being kicked all over the shop in a much tougher, faster, physically demanding league than Spain’s?

Will he put up with the Mancunian weather again or demand this time that he has a private jet to regularly fly him back to Madeira to top up his tan?

Would he enjoy playing under Van Gaal if he resents being told by another disciplinarian in Benitez that he’s just another cog in the machine?

What if Anthony Martial or Memphis Depay really kick on, or Wayne Rooney’s mojo returns - would Ronaldo put up with not being the main attacking man?

And how would the fans react if Manchester City tore United apart the way Barca did Real at the Bernabeu and he stood sulking in the Old Trafford centre-circle, blaming everyone but himself for the humiliation?

Ronaldo’s future will ultimately lay where “super-agent” Jorge Mendes smells the most money, commercial and lifestyle opportunities, which probably puts United third behind Madrid and Paris.

But if he starts to seriously give United the come-on, they’d do well to think twice.

Or rather, listen to Gary Neville, who says that instead of trying to sign the old Ronaldo they’d be better off looking for the new one.

An anonymous Manchester United star has reportedly admitted that he is “half the player” under Louis van Gaal.

United limped to a goalless draw against PSV on Wednesday evening which means that they are still not certain of a place in the Champions League knockout phase with just an away trip to Wolfsburg remaining.
Reports of Van Gaal’s strict regime having a negative impact on the players have already surfaced this season but The Daily Telegraph’s chief football correspondent Jason Burt told BBC Radio 5live: ”I’ve got to be careful what I say here but I've spoken to one player at United who told me he's half the player he can be here at the moment because of the way they are playing. "He doesn't feel that it's fair on him. He doesn't feel that it's fair on the fans. “He can't express himself properly and finds it very difficult to play here."
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 11:51am On Nov 26, 2015
LVG's United are boring and dont entertain.

Wednesday night's dull draw against a limited opponent was a case in point. United had Champions League knockout qualification, Sir Alex Ferguson's bread and butter, on the line yet Van Gaal's side strolled their way through an achingly boring match as if possession was more important than goals. Now they will probably need to win at Wolfsburg to go through.

Ferguson -- even to his detriment at times -- loved a gamble. That is what United are meant to do; take a chance. Losing 3-0 at half-time away from home? No bother, score one and let's see what happens. Tottenham in the 2001-02 season didn't know what hit them and United won 5-3.

Van Gaal has forgotten more about football than the majority of United supporters will ever know, yet he warrants an increasing amount of criticism for his awful football, his stubbornness, his poor substitutions and his ridiculous scepticism of certain players such as Ander Herrera who, though currently injured, is United's best midfielder.
