was she shot by the protestants or by our force? you just spoke like someone who just came in to Nigeria. have you heard of accidental discharge just because of N20. Tell me something i don't know about this country.

Isn't the picture of that poor lady proof enough that the protest wasn't as peaceful as some people will make us believe? The army is made up of human beings too. They won't shoot live bullets at people if they are not under threat or the protesters are not destroying properties/being violent.

Note: I'm not saying the army was right to have shot the lady; I'm only saying the sad incident wouldn't have happened if the protests were truly peaceful.

my dear, i read and understood your comments very well but it seems you didn't understand your post. you said the force cannot shot unless the protestants are violent like destroying people's belonging but base on the story, the reverse is the case. the force opened fire on the unarmed protestants thereby killing some of the them and in reprisal , the protestants burnt the mosque as they believed the ones that opened fire on them were the Muslims.

I was not there but I'm very sure it didn't happen this way you described. I saw pictures of burnt trailers and the mosque before pictures of dead protesters started emerging.

Anyway, I still maintain that if the protesters were absolutely peaceful like you said, the military won't need to recourse to force. After all, this was not the first time the protests were taking place.
