Proper education starts from proper references and quality facts.
WE UNIVERSITY GRADUATES SHOULD DEMAND TO SEE A PROOF THAT NUC MADE THIS LIST.
Even though the 2 universities I attended had favourable ratings of 19 and 1, I am yet to obtain a proof that directly links this list to the NUC.
It baffles me only a few people have questioned the authenticity of a list before pouring comments. Proof is the first thing on an educated mind.
This could have been composed by anybody.

UI guys and mouth sef.
I dey pity the guys wey dey go the next NYSC orientation camp because UI guys and OAU boys are always in a vocal war over which Institution is better and they no dey let person hear word. Both parties go dey claim, "there is only one Institution, UI (or OAU), all the others are mere campuses". Just imagine that !!!
During my own orientation camp period, some OAU guys went AWOL from camp, and came back to the camp dead-drunk, at about 2am, and where shouting: "Greatttt IFFFEEE".
The curse wey those guys receive that early morning from other Corpers, will make them stay sober for a very long time. Lolzz.

I was not expecting to see OAU among the first five owing to the rot ravaging the system presently. Her students have shown so much indiscipline over the years all in the name of student unionism. I learnt they also have plan to ruin the Ile Ife coronation slated for tommorow. I'm fast losing the respect I once had for OAU.

So, because a couple of lecturers from 1 (probably on sabbatical) taught you in 10 and you are currently on second degree in 2, you can "authoritatively" tell us that 10 (which obviously you attended) is better, ah! Bro, that is not the way of research, I mean how can you use "a couple" of lecturers in 1 to arrive at that kind of assertion? Even research is not authoritative and that is why it is called re-search!

You have a point, they all have their strengths and weaknessess. I didn't say 10 is generally better though, reread my post again; just pointed out few categories I know of. 1 for instance has the highest number of Professors and is better than 10 in that regards. The fact that a bulk of those in 1 taught in 10 means it isn't bad. Infact, about 40% or + of the pioneering lecturers in 10 attended 1 for first degrees. So, my experience and observations may not be enough to conclude and that was why I said based on MY experience and observations. There is also this school in the North, ATBU Bauchi, their engineering grads are superb (just saying).

Honestly, I have not seen any hostel in Naija uni that compares to it but the downside is that it is not sufficient for all the students. I know several times, private investors have tried building more but I do not know why schools usually turn them down. Maybe, they do not want the students to spend so much if they do.

I do not really know much about Management there. In my time, only sciences but I guess the love of money has made the school diversify now into other departments and Colleges but those doing management related courses seem to be enjoying it. Send a PM so I will give you the contacts of at least one person in that College (a 5 dot student).

I have a lot of respect for University of Ibadan, but with this your English, eh, UI isn't suppose to be number one on that list.


Saying 10 is better than 2, questions the authenticity of your post.
How did you arrive at the conclusion? On what basis?
2 & 10 are different institution & handle less similar disciplines unlike other institutions.
How can you compare fashion designing with catering?
10 lacks College of Medicine and its allied courses, faculty of Law and probably Arts(?).
2 on the other hand, doesn't have faculty of Agriculture which is the pivotal reason 10 was established.

What is your point?

which school did you graduate from?...Or is it the same english teacher that taught u and mama peace?
