Azumini shares a boundary with Eleme in Rivers where we've the federal ocean terminal. If he says 5 miles he's correct

He is not correct. No point in Abia state is 5 miles away from the Atlantic Ocean.

Google is your friend. I repeat no point in Abia is 5miles away from the Ocean, the least you can get is ×5 of that.

You said that Abia cannot be 5 miles away from the atlantic because your poor geography didn't let you know that the city shares a boundary with Eleme, where a port is located. Just check ur map and see Abia's distance from the atlantic yourself.

I must confess, the site would be viable for a seaport with little dredging. I also found out that it is just about 5 mile(7.5 killometers) to the atlantic ocean

how much is 1gb.@octavo,arrange 1gb for him if he can post those pics.I'm dead serious I'll pay.

That's nice...Former Abia state Governor had plans to dredge the sea, don't know if the present governor will continue with the plan.

What part of his statement connotes hatred? Or is there a different meaning of hatred in Biafra?

At age 8 (Primary 4) in the 80s,
I remember very well I could draw the map of Nigeria so well.
My interest since then had encouraged my love for geography and GIS.
So far, so good. Even with my Google Earth Pro, I am still dumbfounded that Abia now has a SEAport.
If that sea is Azumini sea, Then we have to update world known seas.

From your link it says that " River state sits 40 nautical miles from the Atlantic ocean . While Oboaku in Abia state is 25 nautical miles from the Atlantic ocean"

Did you actually read that news in the link you posted

And if you did , why are you still arguing.

Your just confused

Azumini, Ohambele and Ohanku are 3 villages in the most southern part of Abia State.

They are close to the Azumini Rivers (Good for small boat navigation).

Distance from this area to the Atlantic seashore is approximately 55 kms.

Azumini river empties into Imo River around Obete village.

Both continued into Opobo Channel before ending into the Atlantic.

If Azumini, that is 1/10th the size of imo river turned into a sea,

Then, Ose river can get a sea port as well.

A section of Imo river passes through Abia State.

So Navigation is very possible on Imo rivers for light and medium boats.

The depth of Imo rivers around its largest span of about 160 metres is not more than 5 metres.

This depth limits its Navigational capacity.

Azumini on the other hand is just about 25 metres wide, but too shallow for such names.

If you call your title Riverport, then it will be understandable. Thanks.

The distance between abia state and rivers state is just a stone trow and they share boundaries. Some part of abia state falls into rivers state and vise versa
