President Muhammadu Buhari has denied ever receiving cash of $300,000 from a former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.

Buhari, who reacted to the claim by Dasuki in his statement to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that he gave him $300,000, said he did not receive a kobo from the former NSA.

Reacting to the development in an interview with The Eagle Online on behalf of his boss, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Femi Adesina, said Buhari only received two Jeeps from the Presidency before his inauguration on May 29, 2015.

Adesina said the Jeep, one armoured and the other ordinary, were sent to Buhari shortly after the attack on his vehicles in Kaduna State by members of the Boko Haram sect.

He said the two Jeeps were Toyota Land Cruiser.
It would be recalled that Buhari was attacked in July 2014 by the Boko Haram terrorists on Ali Akilu Road, Kawo-Kaduna.

In a text message to The Eagle Online that further emphasised that Dasuki never gave a dime to his boss, Adesina wrote: “After the attack, he (Buhari) got two Land Cruiser SUVs, one armoured, the other not.
“No cash.”

1. Common sense dictates that he who alleges must prove his allegation. Was the $300K given in cash or bank transfer? At least we were told how Bafarawa, Yuguda, Obaigbena, Dokpesi and co got their own share. How did Buhari get his?

2. None of those mentioned by Dasuki so far has denied receiving money from him. They all have confirmed receiving money but said for different purpose. So, it's not me finding them guilty but their own statements.

To your question, yes I got $50k from Buhari's $300k. Mumu!

Is it within the ambit of Dasuki's office to replace vehicles or provide security for past head of states? If it is, then why the mischievous uproar?

Are such expenditures covered by the legal budget of the office of the NSA? If so, why the surprise?

Did Dasuki at anytime claim it was monies budgeted for arms that he used to carry out the other statutory functions of his office? If he did, then Dasuki should be made to even account for how the actual funds budgeted for statutory functions are expended, such that he has to misapply funds collected for special tasks on tasks that are statutorily binding on his office.

Sai Buhari! Kindly continue the witch-hunting. Too many witches in our society.

3. (1) Three vehicles to be bought by the Federal Government and liable to be replaced
every four years.

(2) The drivers shall be selected by the Head of State, and paid by the Federal Govern-
ment.

Protocol

4. (1) Diplomatic passport for life.

(2) Entitled to protocol within and outside Nigeria.

(3) All former Heads of State and their spouses shall take the third position after the
serving President and the serving Vice-President at all public functions in order of precedence.

Medical services and vacation

5. (1) Free medical treatment for former Heads of State and their immediate family within
Nigeria.

(2) Treatment abroad for former Heads of State and their immediate family where nec-
essary at Federal Government expense.

Nigerians, please can we ask this simple question to the concern people involved. At what point did Dasuki or whosoever gave out the SUV. Was the SUV meant to replace the one attacked? Is buhari and other past president entitled to the SUV or bullet prove car? Without been bias, if the past head of state are entitled to the cars or jeep at when due then Dasuki should come up with another statement or prove. Secondly, if the car was replaced by the FG because his previous car that destroyed, then Dasuki should come with another convincing prove otherwise he should keep quite and face the consequences of impunity and corruption.

This fight against corruption must go on respective how they try to thwart it. I will advice Dasuki to concentrate his energy in defending himself on the alleged corruption against his name, more especially the testimony of delivering suitcase stuff with dollars from CBN and NNPC. For me that is main issues and needs not to be wished away. Bridging laid down procedures or due process should stop.

What explains the whole rigmarole? You indicted someone because you had to replace his vehicle that was damaged due to poor security cover for the General. We are watching.... grin
