Compliment of the season friends. All gurus in the house please i need your opinion. Got a mail from EA stating the following condition:

With regards to your nominated occupation, please note that your CDR are not at the level of a professional Electrical Engineer(233311).
They can offer me two possible outcome:
1.Based on the current CDR submitted they can award me Engineering technologist (233914)
2. Submit a new CDR that specifically address the skill and competences of professional Electrical engineer, with a new summary statement and i will consider the outcome professional Electrical engineer (233311), there is no guarantee you will receive this outcome.

Please house what is your advise?

Its urgent.

Good evening to everyone in the house! Please I need your help... have been dating my husband since 2010 and we went to same university... he recently got his 573 student visa in July this year. The issue is that when he was filling his form 157A he didn't include me in the form because we weren't married then and we didn't have much information at hand. He got his visa on 28 of July and we sealed our relationship legally on the 29th of July. When he got to aussie he wants me to join him so I applied for student dependent visa on 11th of November ( he later refill form 157A and added my name in the application I submitted) . After submitting all the documents, I got a mail from my case officer today 17th stating that I should provide " evidence of the ongoing relationship with your husband prior his visa grant
1) financial aspect of the relationship
2) Nature of household
3) social aspect of the relationship
4) Nature of the person's commitment to each other
I was given 21 days to submit these doc but I want to submit as soon as tuesday nextweek. Please I appreciate every advise from each individual. ... thanks

Hello house and all d gurus. I have been a silent reader for a while and have come to appreciate d earnest help given to others. I want to package my application i.e diploma to degree. 1 year diploma in Sydney tafe and 2 years in university of Western Sydney. The issue now is how to apply, Sydney tafe requires d service of an agent but didn't provide an agent for Nigeria even though I don't buy d idea of using an agent coz I can as well do it myself plus d stress dey give from peoples experience on d thread. I most likely cant meet up with feb intake @least i should meet up with July .Please has anyone done this before.
I believe I have found a way round this even though I didn't get any response from d house. I want ask though if including details of my brother already residing in oz can b either a merit or demerit while applying.

Don't add your brother in Oz, it means you are likely not to come back.

These ppl wants evidence to return home. Your best bet is to add Family here and anything that will link you back home. A Student was rejected his Application simply because he has a brother Studying in Oz and that he doesn't have strong incentive to return home.

Goodluck!

Well....I added my Bro that is over there.
And in your SoP, you can state that S/he helped you in making a good choice & that u heard from em First Hand that OZ is a country that is welcoming, especially to International Students & with good standard education.
Although Non of us is Decision Makers, but that space In APP 157A Is there for a reason.

And that might helped you in some ways,
Example...when they ask you where you will be staying when you Arrived.
choosing your Siblings apartment might sound very convincing than stressing yourself with finding an apartment to rent from Naija.

Although they've not made a decision on my App.

I commend the effort u all r putting here to help others, well done.

Pls I got an offer to study at the university of Newcastle, and in other to get my CoE I was told to pay aud$10,834. I plan to do that on Monday by the grace of God.

But this is where I need you guys to help especially those that have paid their fees using first bank form A.

I discovered from this thread that banks won't convert directly to Australian dollars for you. The official exchange rate for aud is 143 naira. I already credited my account with 1.6milion naira having it in mind that that will be enough to cover the acceptance deposit of aud$10,834.

pls in other not for me to jonze on Monday when I go to pay my fees, how is the transaction done? Wat exchange rate do they use? Is it Australian dollar or USD? If it's USD, will that 10,834 drop to the equilvalent of an Australian dollar to USD which is around USD7701?

Pls guys help me here, I need your advise thanks so much
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by erictack203(m): 10:57am On Dec 18, 2015
Add about 150k to your Account, so that FX Dept will not say insufficient funds, giving the fluctuation in Dollars these days, it will be better to over fund the Account than it to be underfunded and delay your Transaction. The Process takes about 3days and you get your swift. After 3 different debits. 1st Bank is really fast and good in this.

They will convert the equivalent of Oz Dollars to USD and credit the School in USD and the Sch will re-convert to AUD. Sometimes, the School will be overpaid after conversion and you will be advised by the School with the Difference, also sometimes, they may be underpaid and they will ask you to pay the little difference once in Oz.

Goodluck!

Back to the matter, missymii I do not think that stating that your brother lives in Australia will hinder your chances of getting your application approved. I know (have seen) typical examples. I am assuming your brother legally LIVES in Australia. On the other hand, if your mind is asking you to do otherwise, make sure your brother hasn't already provided your information on any previous immigration related applications. Anyways, just follow your mind.

In addition to what erictack203 has advised, make sure you have MORE THAN ENOUGH in your account. I understand that some banks e.g. Zenith Bank converts from Naira to USD and then to AUD before onward transfer to their intermediary bank (usually an Australian bank), who subsequently credits the University's account.

The whole Stuff depends on the C/O. Some CO'S can be terrible at times.

Any1 with this case should do their mind and pray. I have seen many cases regarding this subject matter and there is no need to argue.

Maybe the CO'S where just looking for excuse I don't know.

All the best!

Dollar is now #280 in the parallel market,
don't know when it will start affecting the AUD$.
Although fears is still gripping the traders , some saying it might grow up to #400 in a short while.
reasons were because The FED's were once told to drop the amount to #300 some time Last month.
but they didn't.
Assuming they dropped it then and U.S also raised their Interest Rate.
DO THE MATH.

If you're to pay, move in time and 1.6 Mill won't match what you're getting into.

Mine was FORM A,
But was billed at around #149.5
You never calculate Banks 1%

Oga/Madam, check the schools offering your course on Google. Check their requirements too. You should look towards starting your studies in July, it's almost impossible for you to meet up with the Feb intake. People do not usually respond to posts like this. It is expected that you must have done your preliminary findings. Thanks.

you dont need to pay for your ECOE to come out, you only need to pay your tuition deposit and OSHC, then you apply to your school for ECOE or if u are using the service of the school agent u send ur payment slip to the agent and they will apply for ECOE for u. its free broda
