Hello house, sorry I haven't been able to recount my exam day experience. Have been abit busy. Well here goes.

You can only do as well in the GRE as u do in the practice question. It's really no flunk. If u score 280 in powerprep then you could most likely score 280 in the real thing.

I couldn't sleep through the night preceding the GRE day, I kept thinking how the cookie would crumble, if I flunk the GRE. I also decided not to study further so as to keep things simple. Exam day I got to my centre early, fine gals everywhere, felt like all the fine gals in abj are all moving to the US. We Gilles out the necessary forms, and waived our rights to ***. I was still be registered in the hall when I heard keyboard typing away, and shunks meaning these people that got registered before already hitting their essays, I was shocked because I was hoping we did all start same time.

Well, I settled down after the initial scare, did my essays in good time, then drove into the verbal session, hmmmm guys Wetin I see ehh, questions hard like Wetin. I say ok maybe na experimental session. I enter quant, it was even tougher. I say ok it's better for this quant is to experimental. Apparently I went through all my sessions and the all felt foreign. Bros GRE no be beans. I prepared in 1 mnth and 2 weeks. I wasn't ready, needed more time. Please if u are not very comfortable in the practice tests in magoosh or powerprep, don't register for the GRE yet. Somehow those test especially the hard sessions are a true mirror of the real thing.

Funny thing was I had completed my AWA section and progressed to the verbal section, while some were still observing AWA. I couldn't focus at all with the noise. Then the examiners were communicating with the dude beside me who had a problem with his system. I was furious! I just kept looking for lead words & clicking through lol..

If I don't make it for fall (things are looking pretty bleak, but still looking up to God,) I'll rewrite & try to improve tremendously on my current scores.

In my own case the guy beside me was just lamenting throughout... the fear in d guy eyes ehn I couldn't just tell him to sharrap

Great debrief! Gbam! Your take aways are true also.
In retrospect, I wish I had gotten to a comfortable practice test score before securing a test date. That's the best tip o. Keep practising, and when you are sure of yourself as per your target score, secure a test date.

Na 81% 59%. This means I scored better than 81% of GRE test takers that wrote that particular selection of quantitative questions, and better than 59% in the verbal. Na so them dey calculate am sha

Your percentile go depend on how people take pass that test wey you write. If your combination of questions mad gan, if e still enter like 50 or pass sef.

Where in Lagos can I get Manhattan. I have been to CMS (Tinubu) but what they have and what I think they only know of is Barron and Kaplan.

Couldn't get a December date for toefl but contacted the schs I intend to apply (2 in US and 1 in Canada). found out that toefl is waived in 1 of the US sch and the Canada sch for accredited Nigerian universities. They assured me to complete the registration without toefl. For funding it's best you complete your registration before the year runs outs (my opinion). any other opinion is welcomed. I also want to learn more

Nt all schools require test of English from Nigeria buh most of the top schools do and as for Canada gre or toefl is nt required mostly buh if you have a good gre score it's an added advantage to your application... and I don't think ppl know schooling in canada (Research msc) is fully funded... The challenge is just getting in which is very very very tough for Africans as Asia is preferred and they consider the school you had your first degree

I think it all depends. If not given admission, your file could be kept for consideration for the following semester admission or you may have to re-apply for the following semester. I think it depends on the policy from school to school. Also, summer semester is not always available to start school in for some schools. It also depends on the course as well.

Something happened to me, a school messaged me d day I got my official scores, said dy saw blah blah blah... Was really confused cos my score ain't super, buh den someone once told me dat schools too Scout for candidates too ... Did anyone have d similar experience... The school even waived application fee and I can submit official documents later if admission come through... I checked faqs on gre site and found:

If you didn't register for that service I'll advise you do
