I don't get people myself.
Maybe i was not clear in my enquiry.
I just want to know what a letter raising such issues to cic would achieve given the circumstances i mentioned.
For the people talking about loosing my job, in a customer facing role in the bank were a letter can need to be drafted on the fly, a bank allows staff carry letterheads out so long as what ever is drafted is signed by two staff members.
What i don't get is how with the fabled Canadian strictness, even if i wasn't contacted, why the bank was not contacted too?
How I wish your bank was contacted, I would have loved to see how you would justify all your claims. By the way, how did you get to know he used your account statement? Be sincere! It seems to me that the person in question is not your cousin as you claim, maybe It's your girlfriend and she jitted you. I can't imagine you seeking how to get your cousin deported, as it seemed, that's the main intention of your inquiry.

I will just advise you guys to free gunpoint let him go elsewhere to seek solution to his "problem" since this thread is not created for that purpose.

On a lighter note I sense the lady was her girlfriend but freed the guy after landing in Canada so he wants her back because he felt used and dumped!
chai you fast pass me sha *tears*

You can't tell exactly what actions CIC will take after you explain everything that happened to but it won't be far fetched to imagine that your cousin's case and visa may be re-examined in the light of the new revelations. The fact that your cousin was given the visa only goes to show that the CIC methods are unfortunately not as thorough as we all believed.

Again I will encourage you to go ahead and do what you have set out to do, all these people conjuring up all kinds of reasons why you shouldn't report to CIC do not realise that what they are doing is nothing but a sad display of their poor moral standings. Any reader that comes on this thread will notice in a heartbeat how quickly people here call on God's help and grace just because they want something, when it comes to doing the right thing and calling out a wrong deed they are all mute - it is now you hear that this thread is for "success" and not for "pulling people down". For them the so-called success is right no matter if it attained through dubious means. Its all very shameful.

@ Gunpoint, I think by raising a complaint, you are trying to do the right/most appropriate thing from an ethical point of view. Bearing in mind 'Nigeria readily built negative reputation'. However taking this case up could have an additional negative impact on our already negative reputation (eg, could further affect our prospective visa applicants etc).

On the other hand, your post makes things look like it's more about vengeance rather than justice (this could be wrong though), which would ultimately defeat the supposed ethical action you've proposed.

NB: I am also a TRV applicant.
Applied Nov 3rd, received a passport request Dec 18.
Tbh, I barely submitted any of the documents advised on this thread.

I would give a full breakdown in my next post. Appreciate the abundant good intentions on this thread guys. Thanks

I just said someone did something wrong and people are saying as God don help her finish, leave alone.
I don't get this God complex Nigerians have.

Thanks for the observation. His story seems like moonlight stories to me lol: He has a notorious cousin, and harbored her and left her alone in his place; He wasn't aware the girl used his documents; the girl later called to tell him he used his documents for visa application lol. My question now is, how did he know the details? How did he know that the girl claimed in a letter that he is the supervisor? I don't think the girl can spare him all that details sha o. With the look of things, let's imagine how their conversation would be like... D gal:bro gunpoint, I'm calling 2 thank u 4 all wat u did. I just want to inform you dat wen u wre away I used ur SOA and ur bank letter.......sounds somehow sha

Don't worry, I guess you will be assigned a supervisor if any member of your faculty staff is willing to take you- that's if you have the same research interest though. It is just better to find a supervisor so that the admission process would be faster. Speaking from experience, I didn't get a supervisor during my application, was just assigned one.

They normally make decisions after the set application deadline. I'm not currently in MUN. I'll be there in the next few days.

I got accepted for an MSc ( Thesis based) program, not in MUN tho. The thing about getting a supervisor is that u must have a research interest in mind. Then u check for a supervisor that has the same interest. Next, u do a very intensive background check on that supervisor, read all his publications and stuff before u write him. When u write him mention how much u find his research interesting, how much it aligns with ur own work and Research interest. Let him see that u have done ur homework on him. If he replies ( mine did that very day) send ur CV with a very good reference listed there (he will contact this reference). U also have to call him. I did incessantly.
Pls don't send general emails to potential supervisors or tell them u can work with anyone. It's means u have no research interest in mind. Make ur emails short, concise and very interesting. Don't sound like u are begging. Regard them as ur professional colleagues. I hope this helps. Once u have ur supervisor hooked, ur admission is a done deal.

I already did contact a supervisor over the weekend. I guess, I wrote in lieu of what you said. hopefully, I speak to her over the phone today?

There's no deadline for the graduate course applying for although for spring intake.

I hope this gives room for visa processing?

Thanks
