I doubt that o.

its true. If you get 2 years a couple of times u get 5 or 10 years. They never had 5 years in Nigeria only 10 years that was always very difficult to issue. But last year, there was a bi-national agreement btw Nigeria and US. so if you are lucky, you may get 5 years after a few 2 years attempt....

@Favoredgal....I passed thro on my way to work. @ the funds transfer section. Was told I can only transfer 1k dollars per quarter @ N199 which is todays rate and i must have an account and present an ID. I dont have an account with them so I have been able to get 5 friends with account and will begin the transfer. then on the 5th or 6th of January, i will transfer another set since its a new quarter. But must be done 1st thing 8am cause He said they have a limit everyday and other dollar seeking Nigerians also use this medium.

Thank you firsttymum, u didn't dissapoint me in your response to my previous and first message on this thread. Don't worry, I'll be like you when I grow up. I read the thread, but really I'm beginning to have fears cos I never knew ppl face difficulties in birthing in the US. That's part of why I still needed to ask questions again, and I will still ask anytime I'm confused. Infact I will direct to you because u are a guru in this.
I have started the visa application process now, and I will let the house know how it goes.
lol.... We r here to help. Good luck darling

If i may ask please, why didnt you get US passport for your child before leaving the US like every one does, just wondering why you had to go there.

My Kid's got US passport, but in order to get this done, there's a Non-objection form that should be signed by me (as I wasn't with my Wife in US at that time) in front of the Notary.

Regards,

Ignorance is not a good defence for sin, so just because you didn't know about this thread before you got your visa doesn't make it excusable to go and lie at the embassy, regardless of who advised you. Whatever happeNed to just being honest and trusting God for a favorable outcome?

There are tons of other Nigerians who know nothing about this thread and still went to the embassy and gave honest information.

And we keep screaming about corruption! All join in my own book sha, may God help us all.

My husband, mum and brother have Fbn accounts, Iv told them to go and book space o!

Thanks

Also as at today, only standard chartered has sent out that 'cards won't work from Jan 1st'. Other banks I hear has disabled China, Dubai, rest of Africa, etc

But the speculation is that other banks will send their own emails this week and next, don't know how true it is

But these are tough times to be on missionary journey

A zillion likes and Ja bless. And the lady says I'm insensitive because I pointed it out. In law ignorance is no excuse. In the ds160 its clearly stated that any misinformation is misrepresentation. Does one need good counsel to abide by it? Is it 'priveleged' to know that one shouldn't take advice that has k leg?
Now its politically incorrect to call people out. U have to pet the person to understand the proper thing or u have to sugarcoat the truth so it dosent sting

@favoredgal yea, i think its up to the intending mom to discuss what her options are with her ob/gyn. every delivery choice is individualised. so if she fulfills criteria for a vd, then she should let her ob know that that is her preferred mode of delivery. however, as with all pregnancies, even more so with twin gestation, the possibility of a c-section lurks in the corner if at any point in time, the mother and/or babies are at risk.
Meanwhile, your baby never pop? hahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!

@nuptial, since u earlier stated that your account had to be "zerorised" as a result of business matters and have about 4 months to build up between now and ur dw's interview, why not get your statement for 1 year or even from jan 2015 till said interview date? This would give a clearer picture of things. my 2 cents.

The stoppage of use of naira-denominated atms for forex denominated transactions is a cbn directive. so it cuts across all banks and takes effect on Jan 1st, 2016. so its not limited to china, uae or other african countries, its everywhere and also limits purchase online with our cards as well.
