Please guys, between kpmg graduate trainee and Nbc management trainee, which is better for an engineering graduate?

KPMG is better but it just offers auditing,advisory and tax services, it is not engineering oriented.

NBC is in line with the engineering training you prefer, why both firms are mostly on par within the Nigerian sphere KPMG is more international. I would suggest you go for KPMG as a training from such a reputable company, would open more opportunities.

Also, you can always go back to your engineering after the training @ KPMG with a solid foundation in managerial expertise, which is required @ all firms.

Except you want to divert to accounting, I see no reason for the comparison. ..

NBC will offer you more work-life balance too..

Thanks guys. I was comparing because, with the state of this country right now, my passion is to make money. And I feel ill gain good training from both places.
I'm just wondering which will be best in the long run.

Pls house, how is the working environment of eleme petrochemical p/Harcourt is(does working there support career growth). Also wats the pay for graduate engineer.

Although money is important but it should not be the primary criterion used to make your final decision.

In making the final choice, I would recommend you ask yourself the following questions:

1. Where do I see myself in the next 15 - 20 years?
2. Which of these two jobs offers the closest path to my lifetime goals?

If you are looking to remain in the engineering field, go for NBC. On the other hand, if you want to be an entrepreneur or your goal is just to make money, you can go for KPMG. You should also know that basic salary in KPMG is not fantastic except you save money when you are seconded to a client's firm. KPMG will offer you more contact than NBC.

As a graduate engineer, I totally feel you. If getting money is the priority, then you should go for KPMG, you could build a career in Engineering Project Management, else, you can go for NBC

This money money u guys are talking about...I'm wondering if u guys know how much exactly NBC pays...I don't know the exact figure but I don't think it's so far away from KPMG, plus once u finish NBC mgt trainee, you'd become a manager, nd going forward ur career growth is gonna be steady with all the requisite training available both home nd away....yeah I'm sure of dt, nd offcos I tot work-life balance was supposed to be very important cos I've heard kpmg ppl say it's hard for them to have a life apart from work wic isn't so with NBC...nd offcos being in line with ur engineering background....
Now to av to balanced argument, the good part of kpmg is the higher pay(as y'all said) and more contacts nd offcos steady career growth wic we also had wit NBC....
Looking at this point, since u already said both of dem would be able to pay ur bills, for the purpose of the long-run I think u shd go for NBC Mgt Trainee which is closer to ur background nd for the work-lif balance it offers, I tell you that will be much more important when making money becomes a lesser priority, except offcos u wanna make money u won't have time to enjoy.
Most importantly, You should talk to God about it if u believe He can lead you, afterall He knows the end from the beginning.

KPMG sure pass, exposure wise, they equally autid engineering firms and they use there trained engineers to execute such projects. Hope am communicating?

I will tell you.

The better one is to go to a proper engineering company to learn about the work after obtaining whatever certificate from both.

He studied engrg for 5 yr+ for a purpose, unless he has jst realised dat his talent n passion lies in accounting/auditing.

they call somtin management trainee, not engineering trainee. once u start off as a management trainee, u get trainned in the line of managing a business n has nothing to do with engineering regardless of the type of company. that said, the op can go for either one if he wana say bye bye to his enginnering skills.
