Transferring the N2 million into your bank account is not totally out of place, but for the proof of funds to be a valid document, it must come from a verifiable source, therefore a legal document prepared by a lawyer "contribution agreement" that sets out the conditions in the monthly contribution is an important element.

The contribution agreement must Identify all parties to the agreement, including monthly beneficiaries and disbursement arrangement at the end of every month.

God bless you! Merry xmas!

Hello house, please I have a little problem, got a mail since the 18th of December that decision has been taken on my visa application,I cannot track on the tls website and I have not gotten a mail on Collection. I am presently in a dilemma. My travel date is in 2 days...... What do I do ? Is there something that I can do or a number to call to find out if its ready but not sorted...... I'm in a confused state right now...... Your valuable expertise is really needed Now..... Cannot think of anything but this....... Honest suggestions required. .....Thanks...... Is there a number I can call.......

Hello everyone. Pls i'm about to travel to the u.k for an exam. I would like an uncle of mine to be the sponsor from here though i work and earn about 200k monthly. How do i show proof of the funds in his account to be available to me when i need it. I.e to show that the money in his account can be assessed by me? I plan to stay for about 3 months to also attend courses related to the exam.

His statement of account, work documents/business documents and a detailed letter of introduction/sponsorship stating why he wants to sponsor you will do.

You must also establish your ties, employment, family et all.

No matter who will be sponsoring you its important that you include your salary account, payslips and employment letter

Ok. Thanks alot. Will someone here alone sponsoring be enough e.g say i want to book hotel accommodation, or do i need to also have an invitation letter from someone there. Although i'm also working on an invitation letter but just want to know if only a sponsor here will be enough. Thanks. I already have someone to stay with a cousin doing a phd program.

Thanks. Will a letter of invitation from someone there also help or will a sponsor here alone be okay? Still haven't gotten someone in good standing there to send an invitation letter.

You really need to tone down the issue of somebody else sponsoring you else it will count against you. The ability to foot the bill for this trip will be an advantage for you as it counts as your tie to Nigeria. Yes you can stay with your cousin but you should be able to prove that you are financially capable to take care of other expenses throughout the 3months period.

Okay. Thanks. Last question; since my cousin is doing a phd can i use his place as my accommodation plan in the application process or does it have to be someone with a job. Thanks.

I am applying for a family visit to the UK . Is my husband's cousin considered family. And is it ok to exclude my husband's passport details from the application

That will look suspicious, why not apply to visit your husband directly?

It doesn't matter as long as the accommodation is adequate for two people.

No cousins are not considered family and why would you exclude husbands details

Did your husband also deny you in his application?
Do you want to claim to be single?
Is visiting your husband a crime that you need to cover your true intentions?
Is your husband in the Uk illegally?
Is he really studying?

Because if he is on a tier 4 visa you can legally reside in the Uk with permit to work on a dependent visa ( you just need to show a certain amount of funds) for the duration of his stay.

Do you now see why I posed all these questions

Thanks for all the questions. He is studying and has a tier 4 visa, he resides with his cousin who has legal paper as a resident of the UK.

The perceived issue is that if my husband does the inviting the funds he has may not be sufficient, but since I have sufficient funds and I'll be staying at his cousin's place we thought it may be ok for his cousin to invite me

Please what is ur take on this

Then what visa do want then?

If you want to visit your husband then apply for a visit visa. You don't need him to send invitation letter i.e.he does not need to invite you. I'm assuming when he applied for tier4 he indicated you as his wife.

Since he's staying with your cousin and that is where you will be too then that is the accommodation you will write that you will stay. Your cousin can simply say his accommodation can take you as well as your husband.

Since you can sponsor yourself then its your funds that is important. You will show that you can feed yourself etc whilst you are there. As long as your visit time is not lengthy.

However if its that you WANT to stay in the UK then you would need to fulfill the requirements of tier4 dependent visa. That is a different story all together.

Thanks a great bunch . You have really given me a clear insight. I just want to visit no intention of staying. Just 2 weeks or so.

So from your response I won't be needing any document from my husband . But what evidence will I need from the cousin.

And any Pointers on what not fill in the form

If you mention husband and staying with cousin then you will need to work
very hard to convince the visa officer that you intend to return and not overstay.
You need to concentrate everything on your strong ties to return home.
Job letters, family, managed property etc.

In the form there will be a place where it says who you know in the Uk whether your are visiting them or staying with them. There you are also asked to state the status in the Uk. So for you will need the visa number of your husband and fill it there.

You can also ask him to photocopy the visa page of his passport and scan to you. Let the cousin do the same if he has a British passport or his biometric card if he has ILR.
Your cousin need to send write a letter stating he can accommodate you I hope he has more than one room apartment.

Like worry359 said you need to provide good home ties, business/job, good finances etc and provide documentary evidence.

In the extra information just state that you want to see your husband for a short visit. Show them that you are not a flight risk, no need to beg them in the letter. Just show you have something to come back to.

Sounds confusing. If payment has been made and a date picked for submission of application, so what else do you request?

Not possible and he will not get a visa for that. Sounds very dodgy

Pay slips indicating tax deductions is fine. You can attached a coloured photocopy.
