Amberon: Be mindful of what you say. The date wasn't set by Christians but by pagans. |
Re: Was Jesus Born On Christmas Day? by Philadelphia: 6:33pm On Dec 25, 2015 |
Drclassic:Chosen by who? If only you know who chose the date, then you'd confirm that it's a pagan festival. |

linusbnn: No he doesn't speak like a kid. He spoke as a man. The one who spoke as a kid seems to be you as you quoted a bible text out of context. BTW, the date wasn't selected by Christians. |

silibaba: Incase you don't know, that doesn't abolish the pagan festival. Just as your church (Roman Catholic Church) transferred the solemnity of the Sabbath day from Saturday to Sunday, does it now make Sunday Holy as the Sabbath day? No it doesn't. If you decide to be eating your meals in the toilet, does it now make the toilet a dinning room? If you decide to be answering a girl's name, does that make you a girl? Also, those images you have in your church are not images of Paul, Peter, etc. They are images of Pagan gods. So naming them names of Jesus disciples makes them His disciples right? If your church attempted to abolish the pagan festival by naming it Christmas, then it means we should have so many celebrations on so many days since the pagan Rome had numerous pagan festivals. Why is it now only Christmas that was substituted? 1 Like |

If truly Jesus is the celebrant of December 25th, then what gift are you bringing to the Celebrant? The gift must be in tandem with Romans 12:1 & 2 "herefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.…" But observe, little or nothing done today references God. Some girls would lose their virginity today and hotel rooms go full. Many men would drink themselves to stupor. Is that the gift you're giving to Jesus. Make we stop to dey deceive ourselves I beg. |

horlahmimi:You think like a child. Have u ever celebrated anything in ur life? If yes what was it u celebrated? Maybe a wedding, graduation, childbirth or any such thing? I am sure u marked the celebration with at least some food no matter how small? Even a bottle of coke or something yea? Now do u think it is wrong to celebrate the people that matter in your life, like parents? Eg their marriage anniversaries surprise birthday gifts or parties? Listen child u bother yourself unnessarily when u begin to wonder whether Jesus celebrated his birthday. If u as a person have not taken out time to say 'ahh thank God Jesus born or that He died for mankind' and be merry at the thought of that then u may be a sadist. Just stop looking for scriptures already, the truth is written in ur heart. Dont think for a second that Jesus is not happy because people celerate Him. And just hush about the date. If in ur village a certain day is set aside by pagans and u and other christians choose to do a christian revival program on that date is that a problem. Did satan or pagan have authority to own any date in d calender? If your mind is blocked with bias, even ABC becomes a big deal for u |

CHRISTMAS IS NOT THE BIRTHDAY OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST: HIDDEN MYSTERY FROM THE WISE AND PRUDENT BUT TO THE BABES READ LUKE 2: 1-END YOU WILL UNDERSTAND IT BETTER. Christmas is here to stay, and it isn't the birthday of our Lord, the time He was born. Now, if you'll get on your--on the globe and look, Judaea is just as about as far under the equator as this is above it. So we find out in Judaea, in them mountains up there, that there's snow, my, it's--more snow than there is here. So the shepherds could not be at--on the mountain at that time herding their sheep. And another thing, He... It'd be contrary to all nature. See? Lambs and so forth are spring born, not this time of year. Lambs are not born now; the--the ewes don't lamb now. And He was the Lamb of God (You see?), so there--He was born along in (they claim), along in April sometime, middle of April, or something like that. 1-5 But this being the 25th of December, why, making it the birthday, this is the sun god's birthday (See?), the Roman Baalim, the sun god. See? And the sun is just exactly halfway around now. And from the 20th unto the 25th was when the Roman circus was in celebration of the sun god's birthday. And the... So they said, "Well now, to please the--both Christian and pagan, we'll make instead of sun god, the Son of God and the sun god together. So we'll put it all together and make it the same birthday and make it on the 25th." So it seemed to please the pagan and the nominal church then, or the first church of Rome was just... It was just all right with them, so they didn't care. So they made it both sun god and Son of God's birthday. 2-2 Now, the longest day in the year is along about the 21st or 22nd--the longest night, I mean, in the year is along about the 21st or 22nd, when in the solar system the sun is just bouncing over, coming back. Now, they'll start getting just a few seconds or minutes longer, and then sometime up in June or July we have the longest day in the year. So... But Christmas is here to stay, so we're... We can't help it. Tubeless tires are here to stay. I hate them, but they're--they're here to stay. That's right. Undressed women, they're here to stay. Shorts, they're going to stay. That's all. They're going to get shorter all the time, so ain't nothing I can do about. I can just say it's wrong and stay with it. That's right. Sin, it's here to stay. It's here to stay. We're going to have it on and on, so just... It's here to stay until Jesus comes. And all these things are here to stay Now, I do not believe... Let me make this clear. I do not believe that Jesus would care what day you worshipped His birthday on (if it's the 25th, 26th, or whether it's April, May, June, July, or whenever it might be), just so you worship--you worship Him on any day. But here's what it is. They have taken the sacredness from Christmas to make it not a Christmas, but--a worship day, but a celebration. See? We do not... You hear people say, "We're going to celebrate Christmas." That's wrong. We should never celebrate Christmas. Christmas is a day of worship, not a celebration. SIR WE WILL SEE JESUS #1-6.

I do not know your purpose for setting up this thread but one thing is certain; Jesus was born, he lived, he died, he rose again and I am saved. He will also return someday... Whether he was born January or October, my salvation is sure. That's all that matters to me |

Unfortunately, Jehovah's witnesses, who are d Chief Propagandists in creating confusion regarding Christ's birth, do not even care whether Christ was born. They have relegated Jesus to the background, to them Jesus is just a mini-god, or angel michael, AND not as God come in d flesh to reconcile mankind to himself as biblically proven. I don't waste time to argue with them. |

Thank u very much the op for dis write up. I have never celebrated the xmas as it is not biblical. The disciples of Jesus never celebrated Christ's birthday for once before & after crucifixion. So I can't do it because the world is doing it. |
