Hi, I've been reading the entire post of this part 2 to know which approach to use, whether to look for direct employment or get a 3months tourist Visa. From all the comments here i'm still weighing the pros and con's.

tourist Visa of 3months valid (Nov 2015- till 28 jan 2016)
Hoping to get a job and Visa extension as he was promised
by an Old friend of his who resides there.
On getting to dubai, all the dude said was all lies , he
initially told my brother that he has business in dubai
where he sells shoe nd that he works with a company nd
the company needs workers.
In fact, the first day my brother got to dubai , the dude
along side his friends collected his BTa in the name of
house rent. That made my dad send a little money to him.
Right now my Brother is with another guy who works in
Dubai with his PHD. Who has been helping him in looking
for a job.
My brother is an Arch welder with a professional
certificate. His tourist Visa will expire 28, jan 2015.. Pls my
brothers, I hav been restless, same with my family. If u
have an advice, is surely welcome. God bless us all.

Regarding what ken1982 and ugsams has said, it has always been said that there is no guarantee to getting a job wen u get to UAE, it's based on hardwork, favour, contact, money and mostly prayers.
 I know of 3 guys that went and came bk after 3months without getting a job and some that were told to exit and wait for their employment visa that never came through for more than 5months. 
Something I found out from two company PRO (Indian and Pakistani) in dubai was that they prefer direct employment cos they charge the employee the whole money that is to b used in processing the visa (3000aed as bank guarantee deposit and others which amounts to about 5300aed) so that once the employee leaves the job, the deposit becomes theirs. But on normal grounds, the employer is supposed to pay those fee. 
But the joy about going to search for jobs urself is that it gives u opportunity to show what u got upstairs and negotiate a nice salary for ur self. I recommend this for those that have got lots of job experience/certifications in Nigeria. Or else if u got no experience u might end up wit an unskilled job or a job of less dan 2500aed.

Advantages of genuine direct  employment v‎isa.
You do not need to worry about searching for a job wen u get there, or paying for the accommodation while u search for d job in a land u know nothing about.

Disadvantages of direct employment.
Sometimes u would be deceived by ur handler that ur salary is 3000aed but wen u get there u notice ur original contract says 1000aed. Then u wouldn't ve a choice dan to continue. After paying about 8000aed to secure it. 95% of those agents are not sincere.

If you are determined on leaving naija, you have to do only 1 thing

TAKE RISK.

RISK 1: Come with a visit visa and search by urself, with luck and prayer everything might work out fine. But be ready to pay for it ooo. No1 will sacrifice his legal residence for u to come and afta somtym run away.
[Av it at the back of ur mind that, those employees love to employ from outside cos of the money they will make.]
TAKE RISK.


RISK 2: Get a direct employment which saves u the cost of accommodation, transportation to search for job and d likes. It means u wnt b Goin back home in 3months time empty-handed.

[Av it at the back of ur mind Dat some offers are juicy but might be lies and some might be true].

No 1 offering you link will allow you come to dubai b4 payin. It's either u pay advance and balance up wen d visa is out or u pay all ur money at 1s wen the visa is out.

All in all, if ur plan is to come to this part 9f the world

TAKE RISK.

I think I'll just follow my instincts and get a 3 month visa. At least one can be present to see the kind of job and maybe negotiate better pay. Getting a job before traveling is less risky but I've learnt over time that the less the risk, the less the pay.
