They should release the guy jare. We all know he did wrong with the way he insulted Hausa/Fulani and Yorubas. The fact that he was in a video soliciting for weapon to fight Nigeria was another masterstroke to nail him. But for the sake of peace and co-existence of Nigeria, the federal government should go ahead and release the guy jare. What Kanu is currently going through should serve as deterrence to the future Nnamdi Kanus coming up.
As much as it may be politically expedient to release him by dropping the charges on him midway in the judiciary process, it doesn't test our laws very well and it is setting a bad precedence.
What you are asking for will lead to a gale of requests for the release of some BH members in prisons.
Let the process already in motion in the courts get to a closure.

Nnamdi made a big mistake. Wanted to out do Uwazulike forgetting that na new government of Buhari, when they demolish Moslem sect house and shoot at sight illegal demonstrators.

It is a government where people are responsible for their actions. Many have died in the cause of this Biafra matter, while his family dey UK.

Nnamdi enter this Shiite o! Worse still under the wrong government, if to say na GEJ time concerned elders for don fit beg for am and He for even fit don get government contract like them tompolo, gani Adams etc.

Now no concerned elder want to associate with him. Make we dey look. Na scape goat them use el zazawky and his family do, Nnamdi is next in line for scape go@ts examples

Yes there is within the confines of the law. Don't give away your freedom by making treasonable and inciteful speeches. By doing so he has made himself an enemy of the state. And the consequences is what he is reaping. You no notice that even asari dokubo no dey make all those inciteful statements when he dey make under GEJ?

Kanu ended up demystifying Buhari their untouchable god. He is only in jail because he called buhari a 'terrorist and a pedophile' which is not illegal. Releasing him without finetuning things and extracting a 'phantom apology' will be disastrous for buhari's already battered image as destroyed by kanu.If buhari is looking to rule only 'ranka dedeans' he should go and rule arewans. cheesy

On which medium did he apologise? There's no apology in his statement they quoted. It could be that the punch journalist is trying to garner sympathy for the falling 'hero'. Apology or not, let him face his charges.

The only apology here is using uncomplimentary and hate speech against some people, but was not remorseful nor renounce his quest for Biafra actualization.

You all should digest his statement.

Apology like this.

Media war has started.

Shame on Nigerians and Yoruba media. It shows how afraid of Biafra they are, they have shifted attention from. Boko Haram to Nnamdi Kanu.

Propaganda.

Nnamdi it is just unfortunate that you are among those to be used as a scape goat...

He might be thinking that he will become a sudden hero. Little did he know that the New Nigeria is totally different from the era of impunity and recklessness put in place by previous administration. He wanted it in IRA way but will definitely swallow all his words and like Dasuki name his sponsors. I thought they said he is British? Why has he not called on the British government to send Drones to rescue him? A wise agitator would know that calling for referendum would have been one of the best ways to raise awareness, not fanning for war. May be he thought Nigerian prison is like that of UK where you have access to free TV, good food, and many other things hard working people could not even afford. It is now dawn on him the implication of what he put himself into. O ma se oo!

Kanu made this apology in October.

Having said that who in their right mind would take this foreign-sponsored clown seriously, whilst he has his wife and family safe in London UK at same time agitating for a bloody war in Nigeria.

I hope he feels the full force of the Nigerian justice system - mumu!! angry

I was a Biafra child and fully supported Ojukwu and the our bid for Biafra. It was the correct thing for us at the time in the face of widespread xenophobic violence against Ndi Igbo at the time.

I can tell you that war is not a bed of roses and without real justification, war and incitement to start war is nothing short of treason.

Africa like all other continents in the world at this time should be taking steps to unify instead of balkanising.
