this is a very good words of encouragement. i'm very grateful. my IELTS score is 7.5, and I'm seeking Msc in Automotive engineering, with more than 5 years engineering experience. All I need now is a very good motivation letter....I pry this works out. any idea of any school that could look kindly to my situation?
victz:
You could be lucky go gain admission to some engineering courses with a well written motivation letter, good IELTS score, well detailed CV and work experience. I know of someone who gained admission to an engineering course with 2.80 with an IELTS score of 6.5 and a well written statement of purpose.

www.daad.de/en is your best friend. Don't just rely on Automotive Engineering alone spread your net wide. Apply to other engineering courses too.

I wish you the very best.

Good day mein Damen und herren (ladies and gentlemen) I sincerely appreciate the effort of all those that have contributed to the success of this thread. I have read and gained a lot. Thanks for that. My question goes thus. I am a recent university graduate from the department of soil science and land management (B.AGRIC) from a top ranked university in Nigeria. I graduated with a very high CGPA ( above 4.6/ 5.0) I am interested in studying an engineering course in Germany perhaps civil or mechanical (undergraduate).English taught. Although I have A2 international exam Zertifikat from Goethe Can any one suggest a way That can help me with my plight. Will appreciate a constructive response plssss. Haben sie eine schöne Tag.
Why do you want to cross over even with your A2 and GP. Your course is hot cake over here with many scholarship opportunities. In a related course in my Uni, DAAD sponsors all the african students with 750 euros per month and them still dey hustle join. Common! There are so many opportunities for you in masters course in big unis here in Germany, just sit and do your research well. Improve your german along side too and sky will be your starting point.

I want to study medicine in
germany ,how do I go about it,how
many years, can I see q English taught in medicine bsc and how much is the
tuition fees and other fees?
Your chances of finding an Igbo taught medicine course in Germany will be higher, in Germany, no german, no medicine, at least for now.

@Hampy & Williamso, vielen danke für you prompt response. Like I said earlier on, my department is fully aware & has been sending several emails to the embassy clarifying enrollment issue & requesting for quick issuance of the visa. They've also called the embassy as well, i have been in copy of their corresponce. The woman in charge at the Alien office personally sent me an email to confirm to me she's sent approval to the embassy, that's since 2weeks ago. She was able to do that after my department & I put several calls to her & also sent account confirmation to her.

As mentioned by williamso, i will call embassy tomorrow again to request status but the challenge is that anytime i call i'm always asked to send email which they've not been replying!! I will appreciate if anyone can provide the visa extension so that o can dial it when i call the general line.

As for the extension, at what stage will i need to present it and to who? When should it be presented in case the embassy delayed?

NB: I'm going in for summer 2016 program but programs start in January with language courses & foundation classes which will run from January to March ending before the main.

Danke.
Have you called the alien office in charge of your documents in Germany? That should be your first task. Bombard them with calls and mails, because the embassy's hand will be tied if the alien office fails to respond in time.
The other area where you will now gear your actions towards will be on the side of your school. The best they can do for you now is to give you a letter of extension.

Once that is done, send it to the embassy. Forward the mail or attach the letter to be sent to them as a reply to the mail they sent to you requesting you to fund your account or just quote your reference number as the subject of the mail and inform the embassy of your extension so that they can have that update with them.

If that is done, then you are in safe hands, please, don't wait till january 6th biko, get the extension letter now!

The problem now though is that schools might be on break till 6th or 7th.....but just get to work!

Hallo,,

Has anyone sent docs from any of the Airport NIPOST apart from Lagos. Why I ask is because MMIA is a hub and lots of flights going to Deutschland straight, as opposed to other airport even when they are called Int'l.

Danke !

To all you talking about the need for the language...

As u see me I don't like stress. I'm planning to go for the summer 2016 semester and by so doing I'll only be able to achieve A2. I just wanna know is A2 manageable as I'm tempted to shift to winter to get to b1 even if my uni-assist fees would be forfeited embarassed embarassed sad

I just wish I had not taken work more serious than language learning

I have been an ardent follower of this thread which apparently has been hijacked long ago by student applicants.

Nice job you all are doing. More grease to our elbows.

If I am permitted by @Justwise I can create another thread only for Tourist/Business visa applicants only.

I received my package today from UPS at exactly 3:18pm. I was issued a business visa.

My advice to other applicants is "do it yourself" and do it with all sincerity. Honesty remains the best policy. I submitted all the requested documents as listed on their website from a-z without leaving anyone out. Visa was issued under 4 working days.

This is my first Schengen visa ever as I have never had any reason to apply for one.

If you want I can share my visa interview transcript. It was time consuming about 30mins, in fact you are given ample time to explain everything in details after which your documents will be taken from you and visa payment made. The you'll be asked to wait for 10-14days to get a decision.

This is the smoothest visa interview I'd ever attended.

I just love the German consulate for their fair and transparent visa procedures.

I mean it has one year difference. My intl passport has 29 Sep 1988 as date of birth which is the actual while the WAEC has 25 Sep 1987. Pls kindly advice me how to go about it so that it won't affect my admission and visa application. Thank you.

Serious matter...It might be red flag...if it's a slight error, U could've gone to the high court to do an affidavit but different date entirely... Not just the year but day as well. It looks suspicious like a different person entirely...You've plenty of time maybe U need to go Abuja to process a new passport...depending on the correct date of birth... Just a suggestion

There is no need wasting money and time going to Abuja to get a new passport. It happened to me during my own time too but affidavit covered it. The visa officer did not even ask me anything related to that. The Alien office didn't have any problem with that as well. Let her go for affidavit and she will be fine.

Compliment of the season to all my bosses in the houses. 2015 have been a wonderful year with lots of breakthrough and visa testimonies. I pray the incoming year will be a better year more than this outgoing year with lots of unexpected blessings, and expected visas while some of us that couldn't make it to that Hitler country this year will make it in this incoming year in Jesus name. We are a blessing and asset to our generation.

I think u can get Enviromental ENG MSc with ur 1st degree, plus with the high CGPA u can possibly get a DAAD scholarship. Just take ur time nd research properly.

Modified: Why do you want to study Civil Engineering?
In my opinion Civil Engineering thrives in a country that is still developing, and I believe the Germans are already developed and I dont mean to be rude but "Wetin dem wan build again"?
You want to re-course your Career, please do something that would give you a job easily in the end. And I don't think that will be civil engineering. My advice: IT, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics in no specifically defined order. Oh, I forgot the good'ol Chemical engineering "the Father of Engineering", and yes the Biggest 2 Chemical Companies in the world used to be German-owned.
PS: There's a reason why IT is emboldened. cheesy
so what's the reason behind the emboldened IT

Thanks Eke40seven, Hampy & williamso. Eke, like i said earlier I've already contacted the aliens office in my city both by phone and email. The person in charge told me exactly two weeks ago that she's already sent an approval to the embassy and other things is left in their hands. She sent the approval after my department forwarded my account confirmation to her. My dept has been in talk also with Lagos embassy via phone calls & emails too, yet i can't understand reason for their silence. Last week they reqquested I clarify that my enrollment date wasn't in October which I did. My department also sent a response to that effect in German which reads (after using Google translation)

Dear Ladys and Gentlemen,
Referring to the below e-mail I would like to confirm that the international Master of Engineering begins course for energy and environmental management for developing countries on 01/06/2016 at the European University in Flensburg / Germany with a compulsory course and Mr. ABCD is enrolled for this . From our perspective, we would therefore appreciate it if you could provide him with his visa in a timely manner , because the arrival of new students will take place on 4 and 5 January 2016th
Many Thanks!

Right now i'm aware they're closed till 4th, please what's your take on this as I've not booked ticket or even done travel insurance. Should i go ahead with that or chill till next week? What other precautions would you rather suggest?

I await your response guys. Vielen danke
