Wow! Lovely. A Dubai in Africa. I love the construction industry. OP i hope this is well documented in video not just pictures, I would be devastated if it isn't. Watch NAT GEO GOLD Mega structures, Extreme Engineering, Mega Building etc and you would love it! smiley I want to watch every bit of the construction process right before Rainbowing.

They term White Businesses seeking tax free haven as progress.

Let me ask you people one question abeg, will companies moving into that island pay a penny tax?

Do yorubas own the building on that Island?

Did yorubas pay for or Build the structures?

Yet i keep hearing yoruba on this thread.

What are you doing here...don't you have a few protests to engage your deliquent time...and how do you think an investment of such billions of dollars will not translate into jobs and the trickle down effect and that is if some of the prime land and properties do not already belong to prominent omooluabis...smh at envious ipod youths like you... grin

It was only a matter of time before IPOB youths showed up

Threads like this give them simultaneous heartache, heartburn and constipation

While generations of IPOB are struggling to construct simple pathways, Yorubas are building edifices and world class infrastructures.

God bless the Yoruba Race

Thats what you miss. The price of land is minute and inconsequential to government compared to opportunities.

These guys constructing won't bring foreigners to build, they will employ people locally. Those construction workers will eat, commute, buy recharge card, pay taxes and that way, a lot of jobs are created and wealth is spread.

When theu companies start, they will employ Nigerians. They are creating jobs, they will pay tax, a lot of them will endorse entertainers, some will sponsor events like sports and upcoming sportsmen and women.

They will set up manufacturing plants and employ people and even if they dont export, we reduce what we import hence making the economy better.

This is not about land or who owns most of the property but the fact that those who buy and build will be adding value to the local economy

I agree with the poster, yoruba has nothing to do with Eko Atlanti, it is purely a British, US and Dutch venture.

They are indeed building a tax free haven.

Yes.

IPOB Youth line of thinking

Infrastructure built on Yorubaland has nothing to do with Yorubas

A project facilitated by the Lagos State Government has nothing to do with Yorubas

Why Dutch, British? I thought it was 100% owned by IPOB youths?

Shiooor....

Very nice.
Will the workers come from schools like this or the labourers, cleaners, househelps, carpenters, plumbers, etc will all be IMPORTED while we increase the number of our own people who are area boys

MathsChic:
Some days ago, I was at a secondary school in Surulere (across the bridge from the Island) in Lagos for a friend's event where he is educating secondary students about the perils of peer pressure. I honestly wasn't expecting what I saw as the state of this secondary school.
It left me wondering if this was a school or a dump yard. Why in heaven's name are Nigerian leaders looking the other way while the young ones study in this sorry environment?

The attached pictures are what I saw. This is no secondary school. It's a hopeless shanty. I hope this gets to front page and attracts the necessary attention.
