President Buhari had presented a N6.08 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2016. In the budget, capital expenditure takes N1.8 trillion, marking a significant over 300 per cent increment from the 2015 vote of N557 billion.

If all the N2 trillion which the PMB administration is borrowing to fund the 2016 budget is added to the 2015 capital expenditure of N557 billion, then the GEJ administration could have budgeted a total of N2.557 trillion for capital expenditure.

In essence, if we must compare the capital expenditure of the 2015 and 2016 budgets, then we should look at the 2016 budget minus the N2 trillion to be borrowed.

Feeling very sorry for Nigeria right now. Even if the president isn't scholarly enough to read the budget through before presenting the same to the national assembly, how about the retinue of aids and assistants in the presidency. I thought we have too many brilliant minds in this government to allow this kind of gaffe. For a broke country like Nigeria, one can only pray that madness like yearly allocation for items that can last for years will become a thing of the past.

I thought he said he meet an empty treasury, but dey are busy allocating millions of naira for food where there are thousands of Nigerians that can't afford 3 square meals..#nothing has ever changed.

No controversy ,buhari is a complete dundee united .i told people here that buhari doesn't know doesn't know what the budget was and he had no input in it . He was just given a paper to read and he appendixed his approval ,that budget was prepared by osinbanjo and Kemi adeodun which means it was a tininu budget . Buhari been the complete typical dullard that he is just took tag paper and started presenting it. This shows that buhari is not in control of anything. This nation is virtually on auto pilot.
