In that case, in addition to the letter of consent, go with a copy of his visa page, I'd have said go with his passport but in case the VO already has bad plans...

All the best and come to gist us after.

You think you have gotten all u need?
Snatch yourself get shunned from now on!

I haven't gotten .all I need oo... I didn't want to start exchange irrelevant words since I am just here to learn. I was only thinking if it was cool being sarcastic over an innocent question.. , saying having a baby in America isn't by force, while another made fun of me not knowing how to navigate and all that, what harm could it had caused them just saying type so so and so at d search bar and search. Meanwhile this is my first time ever on Nairaland so they don't even know how it is for d person. Before i asked that question I searched Chicago hospitals, Chicago doctors, Illinois births and so many others but results i saw were long articles that had nothing relating to d question.
Well I am writing all these for d pple who get sarcastic at a question to know that it could be d reason other person is asking. I thought dis forum was to help one another, Well thanks to Nf who came to my rescuer, at least I could now search the dr's names and got reasonable and other info relating to d question. So pls if there are specific ways to narrow down a search then it's ok to say. Dalu Kwan!

It's better to go with copies, The VO can verify your hubby's visa.

There are stories here about people who went to the embassy with valid visas only to have them voided by the VO because of perceived discrepancies. Please go with copies just like you planned to avoid stories that touch

Candid review/ update on the shipper I used, for the benefit of those that asked and TO BE victims. Avoid or better still flee from Mr CJ ,he/ his wife owns an African shop on highway 6 Houston. He is a big fraudulent old man!! Shipped my stuff through him since September and never receive it until two days ago. I found out that he is not a shipper and he did not pay one dollar to the shipper instead he lied to him that we will pay her in Nigeria when we want to pick up our stuff. I had no option than to pay for shipping charges again. I can't wait for my vengeance and it's going to be very chilled. cool cool

There are a lot families and babies who would benefit from that gesture but aside that, it's not everyday baff up for your baby, I presume sometimes you'll want to tone down on the baffs; these type of clothes come in handy.

For clothes they bought his size for age... Dude is wearing way bigger clothes.
And then some clothes can't even b managed (I'm sorry)...

Please mums and dads, can you donate such things to our organization. We are kick starting an online programme by the end of this month. Donations like this will help those who are in dire need. Abeg ejo. It's our little way of giving back to the society and thanking God who made it possible for us to become mums.

I'm actually starting it with Nerfertirim. If you have old or new baby things you want to dispose of, kindly inbox me or Nerfertirim. Thanks a lot. Cc: firstymum and Co.

Hello house, I have my interview this week and I'm going for visa with my two kids. Do I need letter of consent from their father, despite the fact that we're using his statement of account?

U don't need any letter of consent. Good thing he already has a valid US visa. Just make sure u have a photocopy of the visa page and be quick to tell the VO that he already has a visa.

I had very same experience as hubby already had a visa before my kids and I went for our interview. The vo only asked if I was married and why he wasn't going with us. I quickly told him the he already has a visa and would be travelling with us. He then asked for a copy of the visa and that was the end of my interview. We got ours. Most importantly don't forget to pray!!!

Since she v had her baby, feel free to input every date.
You still have to book appointment with the US notary public. You can as well choose the same date ur interview is scheduled for if it's available. If you get your visa and will be traveling soon, there may not be any need for the form, unless you want her to get every doc ready before you arrive.

@vikto1u actually don't need an appointment for the embassy notary, u just walk in seat and wait your turn
But u need to be there between 7:30am- 11am Mon -Thurs
U need to have filled d form too, take a copy of your passport data page, but remember not to sign, u need to sign in front of d notary public

I'm a newbie too but honestly ucystan, this attitude or behaviour isn't really necessary. Sometimes, it's better to let some things slide. No need to spite or respond...

In my opinion, if you want to go for birth purposes simply apply for a US medical tourist visa. Seeing as it is not illegal to give birth in the states, adequate planning and preparation would most likely result in a visa grant.
Also, I think it is best to just go with the document from the doctor/hospital that you are actually going to use instead of one you just contacted for POE purposes.
Honesty is usually the best and safest policy really.
What about us when don use our visas tire, renew tire. Come carry belle? Hian. Mae this door never close o! But serzly sha @FTM has a point. Use the visa. Pick a low peak period. Choose a cheap destination. Then truly change the intent.
Again we need to come up with other locations for birthing. Nobody has explored the Reno option somebody mentioned. Houston don tire for us o!
Btw a friend just birthed[b] triplets in houston. Paid all her bills but used medicaid for NICU. 70k usd for 2 weeks. I tried explaining why she shudnt take it, she no hear.

@FTM share the transcript mbok!

I guess the abuse of the system is in full swing the Naija way. People will claim to have enough funds during interview to embark on this journey only to end up saddling the American tax payers with their unpaid bills. Why do we now wonder when our people are quizzed for several hours and even deported? It's annoying and ridiculous. Must we leave up to our stereotype in the international community?
