Aturu stop disgracing yourself! Is it only Igbo's that own shops at Oshodi? Why didn't they pack out when government told them to do so, must we be forced to do everything. Stop being sentimental. If you don't like Lagos policy why not check another state.

you have not made any point. you are very crude and full of hate.

Nigerians like to take unnecessary risk. They were all informed...............some f0olish Nigeria are still building gas station on govt. road despite the threat of demolition.
MORE THAN 60% OF GAS STATIONS IN BENIN - ORE ROAD HAS "X" MARKED WITH RED. TO SHOW ITS ILLEGAL STRUCTURE.
80% of markets in Lagos are illegal cos they block passage on the road.

You are nuisance, thats why you support hooliganism...... Dont you like streets of Paris, Tokyo, NY etc?

What if tinubu,Ambode or fashola occupied any of those shops before it was demolished? What if fg want to take back the govt land that tinubu converted into his personal use for tvc will he accept the move? This is an height of jealousy.

But it is only a most wicked governor who would choose that period of the year to damage wares of traders in guise he is demolishing a market.

Let the Igbos who go to invest in Lagos, take note.

Northern sharia people with Boko Haram have chased Igbos away from the north. Lagos state government is chasing Igbos away from Lagos.

Woe behold any crude oil drinker who thinks Igbos do not have to leave Nigeria. The person shall drink crude oil until oil starts to drip from the person's anuuus and pennnnnis.

what's trivial about losing your family's source of livelihood? They paid some forms of TAXES and at least they deserved better!

They pay taxes, Na only Ibo dey pay tax? Do you know how many people are loosing their houses just because of road expansion in Lagos daily?

The fact that a tenant is paying his rent is not an indication landlord has no right to rebuilt his house as he wishes? Take your tax to Eastern jurisdiction where it is highly needed.

If after the Civil War the Igbos resurrected and took over Economy of Nigeria, I do not see this minor vengeful action of Ambode stopping the Igbos. Business is to Igbos what cattle-rearing is for the Hausas. They will mark-up the prices and everyone will pay for their losses one way or the other.

My concern is that Nigeria is a failure at the moment, and without the Igbos, Nigeria is actually nothing.

I see no reason for this group to make any threat whatsoever, imaging considering the governor an arch-enemy.....pls they should go ahead and do it. So many igbo youth do not even believe in the compromised association.

Playing the victim card is the highest point of coward display, the government gave quit notice, it is expected of the people to oblige, did they?? And even the demolished building does it also belong to the igbos? Thirdly, are the igbos the only marketers at the oshodi market?

Be sincere with yourself, and think properly before you spew trash....this is nothing but being sentimental and insecured. If this had happened in the east will you people be ranting now, beside there are evidence of similar occurrence during peter obi's tenure in anambra state, we never heard of anything threat rending the walls, now that it is a yoruba man in sw, your clear interpretation is clear hatred against the igbos. That's highly pathetic of you. Smh.

That is the Biafran double-standard at play
. When their governor demolished some markets, they claimed he was following the town master plan and in the overall interest of Ndigbo, fast forward to the demolition of some shanties call market in the loop of a major round-about that ordinarily should be a green-area, the Biafrans are as usual crying Igbo victimization.
These people annoys and irritates sane minds.

grin grin grin These Ohaneze guys are funny. Ambode is the governor of Lagos state in south west Nigeria and not south east. He doesn't need their friendship to carry out his constitutional duties. The last time they declared Fashola their enemy, he climbed up and became the most powerful minister in Nigeria. So, ohaneze should take a chill, nobody cares about their declaration of friendship or enmity.

The apex socio-Igbo cultural organization, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has declared Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode as number one enemy of Ndigbo.

The development is sequel to the demolition of Oshodi market, which is believed to be largely occupied by Ndigbo on the first week of the New Year.

Speaking at a press briefing in Enugu on Monday, the national President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, alongside the National Secretary, Okwu Nnabuike said Ambode by his actions had drawn a battle line between himself and the entire Igbo land.

While describing the demolition as “an action done in bad faith”, the group wondered why the Lagos State Government should carry out such act at a time when it clearly knew that the owners of the shops were in their villages for the Christmas and the New Year festivities.

He said, “it is instructive to observe here that contrary to all principles of common justice, the traders were merely given few days quit notice. It is equally shocking that the government chose such a wrong time for the demolition exercise, thereby not only taking the shops from them but making sure that their wares were looted.

“We are forced to ask: could this be the starting point in implementing Oba of Lagos’s earlier threat during the election period that Ndigbo would be thrown into the Lagoon? Could it be another round of deportation of exercise, similar to what former governor Fashola did? These appear to be so considering that a witch cried in the night and a child died in the morning.”

While maintaining that the Lagos State Government’s action was a threat to the unity of the country, he demanded for adequate compensation of the traders who had suffered great losses as a result of the demolition.

He stressed that “it is quite inhuman for people’s means of livelihood to be taken away from them in such a manner. The government’s claim that arms were recovered from a section of the market does not fly at all here because it cannot be a reason for such a wicked treatment purely targeted on a particular people.

“We demand that the Governor of Lagos State should direct relevant government agencies to adequately compensate these traders; anything short of that, Ndigbo will henceforth regard the Governor as their number one arch-enemy.”

Comments like this makes me have belief that we still have plenty Nigeria youths whose brain have not been hacked through tribal and religion sentiments.

Anyhow, Ohaneze Ndi Apari usually speaks for themselves. They don't speak on behalf of Igbo youths.

Ohaneze Ndi Apali is looking out for any government coming to give them bribe money.

Igbo youths are on the move sans Ohaneze Ndi Apali.
