This is why I'd always have more respect for people from every other region of the country. You can hardly see them come out openly to embrace corruption the way these guys do in the name of "my brother".

The onus of proof always lie with the accuser so the EFCC should charge him to court and stop the continued detention

They no get Job

Yeye youths most don't have school fee or know where the next meal is coming from. How can we move forward in this country when we support thieves just because they are from a particular region.

They carried placards critical of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led Federal Government’s seeming systematic incarceration of key vocal Igbo sons under various guises, especially PDP spokesman, Chief Olisa Metuh and the IPOB’s Dr Nnamdi Kanu.

They threatened to continue the protests and sit-in daily until they are set free unconditionally.

have Metuh been convicted or even arraigned for corruption? What is stopping the EFCC from taking Metuh to court.Last time I checked Igbos were not the ones defending Fashola's N78 million website

They should take this protest and banner to Abuja, and lets see if their families can raise the money to bail them from where they get locked up in.

You are on point, to think that they are protesting on an untarred road that Metuh's swallowing wold have tarred makes it sad. I hope the money is sufficient to polish their shoes from the dust. I am not too sure if it will take care of asthma attack in case any of the rented kinetic boards has one. At least he has returned part of the yam indirectly albeit to our annoyance.

Have you noticed these days....that when talking amongst friends...people now say..Yoruba...Hausa and ijaw...people are beginning to forget that the Ibos are huge in numbers in Nigeria.. ....look at the rise of the ijaws in present day Nigeria and how their stock continues to grow just as the Ibo stock is dwindling.....

My question is did Metuh use his influence while in the PDP govt to bring a lasting infrastructural legacy to the people who are protesting on his behalf? I don't think so!

The judiciary has been emasculated hence the action of EFCC that now arrest and squeeze out imaginary looted funds their own way without recourse to court process.

Where did you ever see them come out openly defend anyone from that region based on "our brother" as in this case or "our sister" as in Uduah's?? When did you ever see them carry banners and march on the streets in defence of a SWer accused of or detained over corruption??
