Officer: why here?
DW: Better healthcare.
Officer:is she ur first?
DW: yes
Officer: u didn't av her here , how come u want this here bcus of health care?
DW: I av her tru a cs and had a surgery before then, and since this is going to be another CS, we decided it shld be where we can get the best care.
Officer: the last tym u came to d state was for what and how long did u stayed?
DW:family vac / 2 weeks.
Officer: which state and places visited
DW:***** and we visited ****
Officer: of all the places, why that state
DW: wel, travelling away as a family was more important to us than the places we visit, bsyds it was fun.
Officer:how do u intend to pay and Hw much do u av with u and do u av a doctors app?
DW: cash/ 7k plus and yes( trying to bring out the letter and cash)
Officer: u don't av to show me but wil need to do DAT at d other officer.
Called an officer to take her to secondary inspection. The officer came and asked, ma'am,how long r u staying and wen is ur Edd?
Dw:2 months/ Feb ending.
Wow! Why did u travel this late ?
DW: actually I am 35weeks and my doctor certified me fit to fly.
He said, I am not asking u to justify. Ur doctor may say anytin, I am advising u here. pls don't try it again.leave early.
She was called in less Dan 10mins she got into the room.
Pls can I see ur daughter's pp.
She brought it out(daughter's pp was stamp outsyd so she had kept it).
Ofizer:Don't worry, just wanted to kW if she is an American citizen
DW: oh! She is not.
Ofizer: the address u av here, is that where u will b staying and with who ?
DW:yes / a friend
Ofizer: u av docs app?
DW: yes , gave it to him
He went tru and asked how much cash she

Wow...congratulations on your successful entry...... where you asked if u were dere for childbirth?
IjayMama:
Arrived JFK on Saturday morning...flew Air France. Wasn't asked for fit to fly. Flight was good esp d Paris - New York route. At JFK, airport was crowded, was fortunate to be called to the fast track cos of LO. CBP called us (my mum,my 16 month old daughter &i), was cheerful & playful.Just asked how long we were staying. Stamped my mum & i in for 6 months (tho my visa expires in 3weeks) and logged my LO in. Surprisingly didn't ask me for LO's receipts nor send us to secondary inspection to scrutinise if her medical bills were paid tho I had d receipts handy. We had a bag full of food stuffs(no thanks to my mum) but they were not seen nor seized. Was a good trip. Chillin in Delaware now, porting to Houston in 3 weeks. Still plan on using Dr E of Oakbend, yet to call her tho. I also plan on visiting the hospital before making a final decision. Second missionary journey looking blessed already.

Dear House,
I came about this forum om goggle search and a friend later confirmed how useful the forum is and I can gladly say I have learnt a lot.To cut d long story short I applied with my family for visa in December (2 sons and my hubby) unfortunately my first son was denied interview due an error on his appointment confirmation number but d rest of us did d interview and was granted visa. The officer asked us aw many kids we have I said two and she asked if am still planning to have more I said yes one and dat am presently pregnant she smiled and asked for my due month I told her and advised that ssince our plan was to go for xmas nevertheless I must go prepared like I will gv birth. I must have doctor's appointment and all anytime am travelling aand we left.So I quickly went to look for d next available date to book my first son again but I only got January sent a mail to embassy if it can be expedited but no way so we chilled till January so we cud not make December trip.Unfortunately my first son was denied visa but it was only my hubby dat took him and dey were asking if we mention ed him in our earlier interview and we did.Now we are planning to go for d family vacation and also have d baby dia since am already close and have reapplied for him.Pls I need ur advice sud I follow him this time wt my hubby and also use d opportunity to mention having d baby . What are things I sud go wt and I also need advice on chicago POE and any doctor that d price is reasonable around huntley in Chicago . Please help God bless u all

Hello my lovely Nairalanders.

Are there any May mom-to-bes in the house? Will be coming into Houston in the middle of March and was wondering if anyone has used Pampered Stay. If so, how was your experience. Your prompt response will be appreciated.

Thanks! smiley

This Brown n Associate people sef, na wa ooo! After several calls n disturbance, they had to finally "cook up" a bill in my daughter's name today jst 4 peace to reign. I still have dreams of birthing n probably doing omugwo in America, if not eh.... lipsrsealed. Imagine wasting my time, energy n credit literally begging someone to give me bill on top ds dollar situation. Odi egwu ooo!!!
N so i was given $55.50.

Now back to fulfilling my promise, below are my own already used 'phemamous' budget grin grin

Hospital......................$2300
Doctor........................ $1900
NICS............................$461.86 after discount
Pediatrics....................$108
Brown n Associate. ....$55.50 after discount
Epidural........................ $0 ( not used cos I was forming Hebrew woman. I fitn't try it again nxt time oo)

Uber..............................over $1200.

I had to include Uber cos it rilly pained me that I spent such amount on transportation when I could have conveniently rented a car.

Did I just type all these? #Runs off to attend 2 my hyperactive princess.

@wolefola nothing good comes easy. U gotta struggle for it.
U asked many questions. Popri answered one. For hospitals in chicago, also use the search button. These fellows were kind enough to post so take out like 24 hours and ul get all the Required info.
I advice u to allow your husband alone accompany your son.it might help if he goes with proof of relationship egs pictures spanning over the years with all of y'all.
Since you were asked and u admitted to being pregnant u can send the notification of intent mail though it would have been better if u had used the visa ist.

Its not always compulsory for you to have an appointment with the doc for your visa interview (although its a plus). Evidence of your communication with the doc and hospital (email thread) as well as their billing documents/price list would do just well....

Hello Shawlar, thank you very much for the response. Sincerely appreciate it. WillI work with what I have n make another attempt at getting Dr Ezekiels. Will comeback to let you know how my interview n all goes..

. Have a good evening.

That's not entirely true, I applied immediately after rejection and got the visa, if she has enough time, she should apply next month on her own and explain why she is not an intending immigrant... Go through my post for my visa transcript.
worry359:

Unless you get better home-ties you will just be rejected again
The normal advice is to wait six months at least and work on your evidence that you will return home after your visit.
Apply too quickly and you look desperate to travel and get another red card!

Hullloooo!!! I hail the whoooooollleeee house O. This is still APPLE19!!!

Hmmmmmm... Didn't want to talk about it before, but I felt I owe the house which has offered me MORE! To be candid, I appreciate everyone for your selfless words of advice. May God continue to help us all and make our dreams in life a reality. Firstly, I want some of us to know that this American dream is not ONLY for BLUE KPALI O, but some for sincere Better Healthcare (subject to Corrections). And being on this thread, is not only to get infos, but to share feelings with ppl of like minds.

My Story.....
After I complained what my feelings was to the doc, (as a FTM), I expected her to @least go some miles to DELAY PREMATURE LABOUR! and not to say that "BE PREPARED, IF LABOUR DOESN'T COMMENCE AS EXPECTED, WE MIGHT NEED TO SECTION YOU AND BRING OUT THE BABY and".....some funny assumptions of baby's chance of survival and all at 35weeks!!.....WHO WILL WAIT TO HEAR MORE OR SEE THE MANIFESTATION OF THOSE EVIL WORDS AFTER 2YEARS OF CHILDLESSNESS? Even if its 2months, pls ask the TTC mamas. You can check my posts on TTC thread before porting here...mamas, and papas, Koju maribi...gbogbo ARA loogun e O(to my Yoruba peeps).

I took a risk I know, but as a graduate and a CERTIFIED NURSE-MIDWIFE AS WELL...I should be able to at least use my brain, even if am not a Doctor. And this is why I always advice ppl to PLEASE SEEK SECOND OPINION!!! Doctors are also human not God.!! And I REFUSE to believe the report of the Devil over my life, my Lo and Home!...

Will be back....with Travelling, POE stories and Progress of my God's gift.....

Travelling....
I tried explaining to her that am not in labour, just that my tummy feels hard and my legs still swollen...but her conclusion was PREMATURE LABOUR!...Anyways, I turned to the one who gave her to me, the one who will never make my TESTIMONIES incomplete, the one whose words will never go unfulfilled... HE says I WILL NEVER CAST MY YOUNG!!.

Hubby and I became comfused, my ticket was originally for today, but he never wanted me to go again...so I told him "Even if lo is going to come prematurely, not here...(we lost his friends son on the naming day due to premature delivery...as a result of DOCTOR'S ASSUMPTIONS). Hubby's thoughts were just to save His wife and child...we were really confused!!

We later changed my travel date to the following day!!....my bag wasn't searched and my food stuff including Yam and Palm oil escaped, to the glory of God, I traveled on Lufthansa, ABV-Frankfurt-Dallas!...with NO ITCH AT ALL!. Except for my usual swollen legs which gets me a little uncomfortable on the second leg, and Lufthansa crew were the best....I was upgraded from Premium Economy to BUSSINESS CABIN grin, gave me like 4pillows to raise my legs, 2 to support my back and yours truely Slept like a baby on board...and my legs went down...

POE
I arrived Frankfurt, had to wait almost 2hrs for wheelchair, was not impressed there sha. Fast forward to Dallas, wheelchairs already waiting in a looking queue, was wheeled to a CBP...

CBP: Hello madam, can I have your passport
Me: Hi...gave him with my Landing card
CPB: I can see you're here for delivery
Me: Yes Sir
CBP: sure you have a doctor by now.
Me: Yes I do have a doctor and a midwife, as I'll also love to experience water birth, so am still weighing my options.
CBP: We give the best care in this part of the world, so am sure you'll enjoy the care...so who's Paying for this
Me: My husband, to join me before the birth
Scanned my fingers and took me to secondary inspection... The officer called my name and asked where am going to stay as its dangerous to stay alone at this period, told him an hotelhotel (which we booked overnight), couldn't even print out, but had my phone ready to show them in my mail, and for the baby's arrival I have been talking to a midwife who is getting me a Nanny and I have our conversations here(gave him my email correspondence with a midwife in Rockwell, Dallas.
He then went Inside for like 7minutes, was seriously praying in tongues, because my words were Incoherent, cos I was really confused.

1-I was supposed to go to Houston, have docs appointment, and prolly enough cash to show, but found myself with hotel booking in Dallas, could only produce a midwife's correspondence, and with just 3400$ which is all we could get from BDC on my departure day....in a nutshell, God was really waiting for me here.
Later to Agriculture cos I declared just my dry foods, but they ceased my Yam...my yam wey don enter America already cry but my palm oil escaped. grin

Note:...am yet to see a doctor, LO is kicking fabulously well, i am doing great, but jetlagged I've not even rested well since I came cos I need to shop for me and Lo, trying to rest though.
So much appreciate this forum...in a way, you gave me the gutt to do this... grin waiting patiently for lo's arrival...if she likes let her come tomorrow sef... grin grin
