What you were quick to forget is that election was conducted in the northeast state despite apc claiming then that bokoharam was sponsored to forestall that. Would that have been possible if a level of victory had not been achieved against terrorism under the past administration? Buhari in his campaign promised to defeat bokoharam in three months, almost a year on has he achieved it? Ask him too why up till now total victory has not been achieved. It takes a long, gradual and tutorous process to win a war against terrorism once it starts.
Up till now Americans with all sophisticated technology cannot claim a total victory against terrorism. Stop allowing propaganda becloud your judgement.

There was a major outcry over a lack of equipment and arms to fight the insurgence, this directly led to the violent death of thousands of gallant soldiers and civilians, and a sad trail of devastation and despair for their families. Recent investigations have revealed that most of the moneys released for arming the military was diverted and either looted outright or used to run elections. After squandering billions of dollars meant for arming the military, after emptying the Nigerian treasury before handover and after even borrowing the sum of $1billion early in 2015 for this same weapons procurement, what funds does GEJ now expect Buhari to use in procuring more weapons especially at this time when the military has by the grace of God, managed to subdue the terrorists with the primitive weapons at their disposal??

Why would some people not just learn to remain silent instead of embarrassing themselves whenever they speak?? How can the very same person who supervised the squandering of billions meant for arms be so insensitive and shamelessly to brag about this sort of thing in public?? PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan yesterday in Maiduguri, accused Borno State Elders of playing to the gallary over the activities of Boko Haram Islamic sect insurgency in the state, describing the situation as unfortunate.

Jonathan spoke during an interactive session with Borno State stakeholders at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Government House Maiduguri, in continuation of his two- day working visit to Borno and Yobe States, the epicentres of Boko Haram.

He was responding to requests by the Elders for the Federal Government to grant amnesty to the sect members as well as withdraw the military Joint Task Force, JTF from Maiduguri and other areas in the state during the second day of his working visit to Borno State..

President Jonathan lamented that none of the elders in the state had publicly condemned the killings and bombings being carried out by the sect members and advised them to put their ‘’house in order,’’ by talking to their children who had been causing havoc in the country to drop their arms against the country.
