Moral laxity is the real disease IMO, Only if today were like yesterday when men and women had this 'prestine' element of shame flowing through their system, things wouldn't be this bad as customs like no intimacy before/outside marriage would gain grounds and sex would truly assume its forbidden fruit posture and Stds wouldn't have been able to break through our defense and paint us red just anyhow. More subtly, God is putting us in check by himself allowing diseases to gain grounds ... Speaks volume of how disappointed He would be in us now despite all the brains and complexities He'd allowed us to assume so we could know what's right and follow it and see what's bad and forfeit it. Sad story!

I actually intended to post this in my diary but then, I want to sample a lotta opinions.

What brought about this thought is the near- obsession with macho sex in this age.
Turn on just about any radio station and you will hear them: explicit songs about how today's men and woman supposedly want sex: Quick and dirty. Fast and hot. No strings attached. Hit-and-run.

I do not even want to ask what is behind this trend.

Some of the people who approve of this say relationships are not that important. (I'm independent and secure) They also try not to admit how lonely they are. Sex is often a by-product of some other need e.g a desire for intimacy and macho sex can never fulfil that need. Why? Experts say because its primary - usually only- goal is self-satisfaction.

I personally feel macho sex is so demeaning and unfulfilling. It leaves one emotionally empty.
I've asked a couple of people offline and a lot of them seem to be in favour of true intimacy (I.e before they want to see or be seen by anyone 'in the raw", they prefer to be both friends and lovers).

So to you guys now: True intimacy or macho sex, which is more fulfilling??
