The centralized mode of power distribution is outdated. It might have been necessary after independence but with the significant population growth over the past 5 decades, it should be obsolete.

Each town or city should be able to provide electricity to its populace via partnerships with private utility companies.

Its obvious,cos for the past 3days our light hasn't gone off,even thou we are on 33kva line which makes the power supply in my area stable,but we have never had uninterupted power supply for three straight days before..Thumbs up to the FG and the Power stakeholders..
Its still a pity that we are celebrating a meagre 5000mw power supply as a Nation,but we will get there.I believe Fashola and this present Govt will really bring smiles to the faces of Nigerians with steady Power supply before the end of this Govt's tenure.

Could be a fault in your area that the officials failed to address on time, rather than the supply of electricity from the main office.

Selected states are enjoying not all. If you share the MW among the 36 states equally, you wouldn't be enjoying 16 to 18 hrs electricity because some states are being cheated

Are all Nigerians enjoying it? With 5,000MW would every state boast of 18hrs supply? To even have 18hrs supply, we need about 20,000 MW or more not to talk of mere 5,000MW some folks are celebrating. To get to where we need to be, we have to get somewhere first. During the regime of the Ineffectual Buffoon, it was less than 2k MW and people like you wanted us to continue with that mediocre called a president. And now that there is improvement, you don't want it announced just because it's mere 5kMW. Shior!

PHCN are installing new transformers on major points . with all the transformer written NIPP. National idependent power project. which the last adminstration is the intiator.
