Waking up by 6am is perfectly ok.
She's an adult and I believe she understands her schedules better.
There was a time I wake up by 4:30 cos I have a baby and I have to be out of the house by 6:15am.
But now, I wake up 5am but I don't get out of bed until its 6. The school bus picks the kids by 7:15.
Moreover, what time does she retire to bed at night?
When do you make love? Does she sleep off immediately after? Because if you wake me from sleep for anything at all, na night vigil be dat for me.
Everybody body system is different. My hubby loves to sleep. He doesn't wake up until 7am.

It's only the prayer aspect that should bother you.
Leave her to sleep pls.

@seaga

A good wife must be submissive

I guess this is part of being submissivesmiley

The concept of being submissive is widely misunderstood!!!! A wife isn't a slave or a maid. she is one with you and your flesh. @ OP Differentiate between your selfish desires and your zeal to "pray". What if she prays at other times in the day? stop being harsh on her too. Check yourself and your motives. Even Jesus does not force salvation on humanity...

It happens to me too. What I did was thought her how to pray. Any time she wakes up even late just say some prayers together, night before bed say it too. I later bought a bell, hymn book and devotional book. We started singing and with time my kid love the songs and he will say daddy lets pray, with time I changed the time of prayer to 5.30am and she is the one that lead it everyday cos I told her she own domestic issues. God have been helping me because she have love praying now.

TF is wrong with you? , a virtuous woman should be waking up earlier? what does waking up early have to do with being virtuous?

as for the prayer part , u no know say she no dey prayerful before u marry am? , anyway you can start by praying with her , a short prayer each morning till it becomes habit , dont turn it into a full mini service with praise and worship and sermon , keep it short and sweet

For the first time , Nairalanders haven't turned a thread into a battle of the sexes. No feminist has insulted and blamed ALL men for the woes of the world. No misogynistic comment. Everyone has stated his or her opinion without bias.

We are getting there. The candle of sexism is being lit by the flame of humanism.

You want her to wake up 4am so you can sleep in? Besides you are to complement one another. You men complain about the most mundane things.

What's a holy soul like Vybz Kartel doing up at four in the morning? Probs virtuous things like, you know, riding a good reggae beat and smoking the early morning zoot. Praising Jah most-high for the good things in life like dutty wine and the wine-drink...

NL will never cease to amaze me grin

U think 6am is late because u wake up by 4am. I even thought u were going to say she wakes up by 8 or 9am. D only problem I c here is d part where she doesn't pray, talk to her, encourage her n let her know d benefits of prayer, above all, pray for her.

I grew up having all the women I have known wake up early. Except in special circumstances. Both my mom, aunts, inlaws etc. They wake up early for prayers and clean up.

It's like that for all our relatives. Giving to sleep is being lazy.

Unless the person involved stays awake at night for prayers or work. It's unthinkable waking up late.

May dad won't even tolerate any of us sleeping in morning or waking up late.

@op, handle it well. People most times respond to your questions from the point of their personal weaknesses. Be careful of this fact.

Don't think your wife will like her husband waking up late like a lazy dog

May God help us.
