Samtobh: If all you said about your qualification is true then you are already a rich man in the making. Programming skills are some of the most sort after right now. I know Nigeria is a miss road country. You have two options. Based on your I.T skills you listed.Start an I.T company where you can offer web development and web design services in Nigeria. Second option try and get to the U.K or U.S. Hourly rate for a Web Developer on contract in London is between £21.80 - £28.80. That's N8,720 -N11,520 per hour!!!!!!! 2 Likes |

E yaaaa. You need to continue applying to the oil companies but bear in mind that most of these companies are scared of the fact that with your first class you're likely to jilt them and go on scholarship for further studies. I'm even wondering sef ....what have you not applied for foreign scholarships like Chevening or DFID and even some foreign universities all who are looking for first class graduates to enroll. Don't give up tho. Samtobh: |

kroger: There's no genuine education happening any place in Africa, cause the colonial brainwashing model of education we inherited from Britain and France is not education in the true sense of the word. People are taught how to cram to pass exam, how to speak English or French. The British, France, Spain, Portugal, e.t.c weren't interested in Education in Africa, they were more concerned in teaching their languages in African schools which is why they made English language and French a core part of our school curriculum Africa-wide. They needed to do this so they can communicate us fluently to enhance exploitation. But, this is not education!. Don't worry, the real education is the one you possess which you can use to solve problems. The education you possess now is exactly what we need to develop in Africa. Paper qualification is still revered in Africa more than real education, because as you noticed our foolish elites and ministries of education remain dumb to realize that whiteman himself doesn't have value for the model of education they left us during colonialism. All these were explained in details on the link on my signature. Find time to read the part 1 and 2, and you'll understand why we're where we're today. 1 Like |

wroskian:These researches taught me ............ • Effect of Salinity and Temperature on the Lubricity Properties and Sand-Oil-Water Concentration of Diesel, Jatropha and Castor Oil-Based Drilling Muds, 2012 {Final Year BSc Research Project} (Project was experimented for 6 months at the Mud Engineering Laboratory of Covenant University, Ogun State) . Worked as a co-researcher in a study of the Effects of Drilling Cuttings Discharge on Groundwater in the Niger Delta Region, using selected rivers at Warri, Delta State as case studies. Samples were analyzed using industrial methods such as AAS and GC-MS. • Worked as a co-researcher in a study centered on Preliminary Investigation Of Bisphenol A (BPA) In Industrial Wastes, using Mecure Pharmaceutical Industry, Oshodi, Lagos as a case study. The use of diverse analytical techniques such as Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE) or Solvent Extraction for sample preparation, and HPLC and GC-MS for identification and quantification, all for the determination of traces of BPA in the industrial wastewater effluents collected, were employed. 1 Like |

musicwriter: I couldn't agree more with you sir, the system is in shambles to say the least, all what we do is la cram la pour and that's it just to have a good grade. All what we think is going to school and get a job and sometimes i wonder who create the few jobs out there. Right now the government is not interested in the educational system, rather embezzling is the order of the day. We can keep going on and on but without practical step nothing can be achieved. |

Good for you, i must confess few persons have it this way as the state of Nigeria too doesn't help. Still those who are really good often have it rosy as regards to those i know anyway. Despite that i do believe in giving whatever you have got your best while in school and out of school. First things first, been employable should be the first criteria. Its not just about saying you seek grace, favour e.t.c like job seekers chant these days. 2 Likes |

Re: Nigeria And Her First And Second Class Job Syndrome by Bollove: 4:14am On Feb 13, 2016 |
SaiBuharii:Samtobh is a disappointment. if you get a first class without any interview invite, then u need spiritual healing. many first class out there are so dull but only smart when it comes to read, cram and pass with As. Work/Job is beyond read to pass, it is about application of what you learnt in school and beyond school in solving organisational problems. First class ma black butt. so many folks do not know the essence of the strength in their hands. Go for Ur masters and get matured. 1 Like |
