Hi dear please I have decided to settle for Grady hospital in atlanta travelling in april too but when I get there I will make enquiries about northside if the fee is reasonable I will change my mind and use them. Please this is my email address echioma85@gmail.com I will like to know more about the northside hospital because I may change my mind when I get there thanks. [ quote author=Iphie26 post=42343362]Just to give back to the house, I have decided to settle for Northside hospital in Atlanta after hopping from Houston to Tennessee .

For CS is $21,000 with 75% discount if you are paying immediately which brings it down to $5475, then you have to pre register online and could also make payment before you arrive the States . I intend paying via form A so as to benefit from the official rate . Was asked to call back next week when my details must have reflected in their account to get the bank details for wire transfer.

Also contacted Dr Andrews and she gave me a quote of $1900 for CS , lab work is $750.

I'm leaving in April, anyone going around that time using Northside?
Hello, have someone bring or post the cheque to Nigeria quickly. Pay it into your domiciliary account here. Open one if you don't have one. i used to take about 21 days to clear, don't know about now.

If it goes stale, have someone take it back for re-validation before sending to you.

Hello house,
Pls is a hospital allowed to refused to reissue a cheque to a patient if for some reason the service is paid for and not used. I paid for the Maricopa maternity package which i didnt eventually use, they issued me a cheque about three months later( Of course I had left the US by this time) which is to expire in some weeks but I will not be in the US to cash it. So I asked for another cheque ie I asked for the cheque to be reissued or if the money can be paid directly into my account. but they refused saying either I cash the cheque before it expires which is impossible now or I forfeit the cost of the full maternity package. Let not forget that I paid in cash but was issued a cheque 3 months later, knowing fully well I am not based in the US. I am very confused and angry. I need some advise please.

lol. On a lighter note, some of us don't actually succumb to the power of those meds so easily that they begin to wonder if someone is a druggie

That's why those oyinbo people are always testing our babies to see if we were doing drugs during pregnancy. I wonder what they do when they actually find evidence of drug use...will they seize the baby?

nefertitiram:

Lol, you no lie

But when you are high on those drugs, you feel you can touch the sky

Abeg which drugs were you guys taking oh! I never felt high. Instead I was pissed that I was feeling so much pain those times when I forget to take the next dose.

Chai God help me I really want VBAC, can't deal.

I actually had natural , I don't remember labour pains, i remember the hell after, they gave me so many things including morphine and I was still ringing my wonderful nurse every minute. I eventually asked if i could be given analgesic tramadol, thank God oyinbo is not like us, General hospital nurse for ask me ' are you teaching us our job?' .

Back to the pain you were feeling, you should have staggered tylenol (or paracetamol) between the one thy gave you and set an alarm for your 6-hourly motrin or wareva they gave you. I saw hell the first time I missed my meds, it didn't happen again. Infact when my meds finished I had to collect from the people that had CS and were no longer feeling pain. For me, abeg natural delivery is overrated. i was so jealous of people that had it easy!

My dear. My baby was in NICU so I came in contact with kids from druggies. They are born with low birth weight, their cry is not normal, it sounds like a banshee screaming. They keep them in another place so that they don't wake other babies.

They have to detox the children, and they go through crazy withdrawal symptoms, the way actual druggies go through in rehab. It's really sad seeing what these babies go through.

Also they really can't release the baby into that environment. The drugs get through to the baby through breast milk. The babies are prone to abuse and neglect, so the kids will be taken away from the mothers by social workers.

Addiction na bastard o! But Oxycodone and Motrin eh! I don't blame people who get addicted sha. The feeling is real!

I don't mean the POE. I mean leaving naija. We are now entitled to 5k per person. Anything above that should be approved via CBN cos you will be asked how you got it. In my case we were 2 adults so I could declare 10k. Though we had a little above 10k but not a significant amount. I really don't know how serious it is. I wasn't searched though but was asked if I was sure I dnt hv over 10k and I declared it with my complementary card. Nnamdi Azikiwe Int'l airport shaa but I got the info from my custom relative in Murtala Muhammed Int'l aitport Lagos.

quote author=damidamsel post=43156439]

Pls so i'm a bit confused wt d above statement....does that mean we can no longer travel wt funds above $5k as opposed to the previous $10k? What happens to those who go through POE where the CBP officers prefer to see more cash at hand? If one travels with more funds but does not declare at Nigerian customs, wont that pose a problem when you then declare total funds at POE?

Pls anyone who understands this process should kindly advise as i need to quickly decide if i need to deposit funds to foreign acct instead of going through Nigerian custom wahala. Tx
Not true. Except u are sure u can get PTA same day ticket was issued. If u issue a ticket it takes till 12am of that day to void it. So who will issue a ticket that costs for just 10k.

jacksparow:

i Think you should meet a travel agency. I know some can collect 10k from you and issue you a confirmed ticket even if the bank decides to investigate, your ticket status will show confirmed meaning you have paid. afterwards, they will cancel the ticket.

The check can be deposited to a proxy's account. it just needs to be signed by you at the back of the check, how you do that is left to you.
If you have someone (relative) that stays in America have them pay it into their account and send you the funds.

I'm serious about 310, it may go lower by the end of the week.

Someone even said 290/295 in Ikeja on another thread.

The consistent thing is that the naira is appreciating this week.

Prebak:
Hello Everyone, how is d day going... This is my first time writing here,I have been a silent follower on this thread and I must confess that I have gained a lot here and it has been an experience worthwhile.

Myself and DH went for our interview last week and it was a smooth, brief and successful interview with the embassy.

In the spirit of giving back to this wonderful house here's our interview transcript:

Me and DH: Good morning

VO: Good morning

Me and DH: Gave him our passports

VO: took his time to check through visas on the passports

VO: why are you going to the US

Me: Didn't even allow him to finish his question; for vacation and childbirth

VO: OK, can I have your doctor's appointment

Me: I quickly passed my doctor's personalized appointment letter and email correspondence to him

VO: He glanced through and said ok, turned to my DH I can see you're the one sponsoring this trip, can I have your statement of acct and other investments

DH: passed his statement's and investments docs to him

VO: collected the statements and checked through page by page.... Both his personal and corporate statements and also the investments docs

VO to DH: what is your company into

DH: blah blah blah

VO: kept typing on his system.....

Me: I quickly passed my budget sheet to him

VO: he collected it and glanced through and said OK, I see you guys came fully prepared so therefore your visa has been approved. Then he passed the famous white sheet to us and said collect your visa in 2-3 working days

The VO didn't ask of my job experience, how much I earn....He was just particular on how prepared we are.

Thanks everyone, I really do appreciate every contribution on this thread....

I'm due in March and planning to leave first week of Feb...Has anyone used Qatar airways? Please what's their pregnancy policy like
