omonnakoda:God please save me from this ignoramus. You tend to see the blue reflection of the ocean from the atmosphere and not by standing on the beach. You are irredeemably ignorant. Repeat after me, all ocean as seen as blue colour from above and not from the beach |

pastormellanby:This generation of yorubas should be buying weapons becos, they fail to understand we want wat we want for our development and will not give it up. We much rather give up Nigeria, so we can pursue our dreams. Keep laughing at urself. |

hammerT:Talk is cheap Stop playing victim no one is stopping you from developing so stop blaming Yorubas. You gave GEJ 99% vote in 2011 where i the Niger bridge despite the fact that as president he had more revenue than any president in our history and empowered more Ibo ministers where is the development? blame Yoruba. You are landlocked that is not Yoruba doing |

omonnakoda:This is wat we call witchcraft, every thread from the east they will invade. Go and join the Igbo village meeting in your area so u can contribute your voice. |

YourMrBoo:landlocked means not having sea coasts or seaport. It has nothing to do with river |
| Re: Ikpeazu starts Work On Obuaku-River Port by hammerT: 3:49pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
betterABIAstate:And their is a Sea coasts directly off Abia, connected via the river. That is good enough. We dont want to disturb the igbo communities in Rivers becos some are mixed, so we are going to reclaim land from the sea and build a deep seaport for the east after due consultation, planing and raising finance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlQmMTp_T0M |

obailala:All is well and good wt ur comment. I support Igbo striving to get a port if it will make them feel better. Everyone has a right to want sthn and its none of our business if they strive towards it. My problem wt ur post is when u include SS in all these ur analogy. There are ports in the south south currently. I know for a fact DTS were dangote imports his raw materials from, not Lagos. Don't be sly in ur comment. I believe what mainly attracts businesses, especially food & oil (our largest imports by volume and cost) is d fact DT their largest market is currently in Lagos. They have warehouses there where there's an ease for logistics. I think Igbo businessmen can patronize d SS ports too but dont do this for these same reasons. Pretty sure 40% of all their imports end up getting sold in alaba or ladipo or yaba b4 going to other states. You need to look at all d factors dt contribute to d lagos port, as a whole. DT state alone has almost 20million pple living in it. |

hammerT:southeast is currently landlocked but it doesn't mean we can't have a seaport (all thanks to IMO river and the friendly proximity of obuaku to the sea). According to international laws, even Nigeria cannot deprive Biafra access to the sea via IMO river. |
| Re: Ikpeazu starts Work On Obuaku-River Port by hammerT: 3:58pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
betterABIAstate:I favour the Obuaku River for its proximity to the Sea and no South east is not land locked. They have a sea front directly through the River in Abia. They should not waste money constructing Riverport anywhere. Let us build a deep Seaport after land reclamation off Abia River. Dotted riverport everywhere is not value for money and will soon be abandoned. Look at Onitsha? 2 billion dollars Seaport investment that will yield 10 billion dollar profit annually is better that 1 million dollar investment that will operate at loss. My brother let us be wise. |

betterABIAstate:No you didn't get it right..... Landlock is a state or country surrounded by lands thereby not having access to the sea. Here river can be use to access a sea and the river that ran into Niger state is not bounded inwards suffice it to say that actually they can access the sea through the river directly without any land obstacle... Or is it because Niger state is far from the Atlantic ocean?? |

YourMrBoo:The River is not Deep , surrounded by land and water fall obstacle. It is far from the Sea. They are land lock. We are talking of a spot where a particular river empty into the sea. watch this documentary. It explains better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlQmMTp_T0M |

YourMrBoo:landlocked means not having a coastal line or a seaport. Niger state is landlocked |

You get into an interaction with these folk and invariably they start of with sense of superiority of incomprehensible origin. Where does it come from? Imagine this halfwit betterAbiastate!! He goes off on why we never PASS WAEC funny. Invariably he and his ilk who have tried it before always end up getting embarrassed .Next time when they hear omonna they won't wait for the rest before running to mummy. There is no basis for such conceit especially when all that buttresses is manifest ignorance and folly. "Ocean water can be distinguished by its blueness" I can tell you for a fact that on any I repeat any aptitude test you take with me you will score no less that 1 standard deviation below and probably much more. We are not coevals or peers on any intellectual measure. Learn to be humble and stop boasting emptily Azumili the Ocean That is your new name from today ..........AZU |

Let us also not forget that dredging is dangrous and can lead to flooding of surrounding communities. It is safer to reclaim land from the ocean for construction of a Seaport directly off Abia River. The Obuaku Deep Seaport. |
| Re: Ikpeazu starts Work On Obuaku-River Port by YourMrBoo: 4:10pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
betterABIAstate:But even lakes, ocean, sea, rivers are all coastal lines.... Someone is confused, I think your definition has deep flaws.. |

omonnakoda:stop dancing around after disgracing yourself here, first I schooled you in geography and later chemistry. If I had left you in your ignorance, you would have failed these questions in waec. |
| Re: Ikpeazu starts Work On Obuaku-River Port by betterABIAstate(op): 4:12pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
YourMrBoo:nope, coastal lines are attributed to oceans and seas while banks are for rivers and lakes. |
| Re: Ikpeazu starts Work On Obuaku-River Port by YourMrBoo: 4:14pm On Feb 28, 2016 |
hammerT:Thanks for the video, bookmarked already to watch later.... But shallow rivers can be drenched to allow big ships to sail comfortably without turbulence caused by excess sands. I don't think being shallow will disqualify a land that has a river running through it to an Atlantic ocean or any big sea from not being landlocked. Niger state coastal lines can be drenched too |
