Greetings . Its result time. some bank results will disappoint you . The set up is gathering momentum . Do not make extrapolations and get carried away. That Afriprud paid 43 kobo does not mean the parent organization will pay more . I have some friends here and would advise to steer clear of certain bank stocks as the impairments will erode all the revenues generated . When a stock looks cheap on paper and cannot sustain any momentum, be very afraid . You are not the only one looking at such stocks. The fact that its not rightly priced shows you there is something underlying that we do not know . GTB has been stable despite all the shocks . While stocks like UBA and Access bank looks grossly undervalued, there is a reason why . I do not like elaborating too much but tread carefully . Be careful guys and good luck .

I gave them the warning i received from a top shot in a rising oil company who knows the accountant in charge of the Bank's books. During lunch time i will go to Ikoyi again today to see if can get more details about the impairment of other banks. As for Zenith "the results will be a shock", "there was huge impairment charges from their 4th qtr result that has depressed the FY result"

Huge like 100b? If UBA can be talking of profits, then there is absolutely nothing that will make Zenith to declare a loss. The dividend may be small compared to last year but it cannot be less than N1. Jim needs the dividend too

[s]Look at Guaranty Bank this morning the huge offer price at 16.80 compared to the meager bid on the pivot of 16.00 ref price will most likely bring the price down to 15.80[/s].Corrected. the bid is as low as 15.20 which is good for upward price movement. As for Zenith it looks like what happened with FBNH will replay it self here as well - dumping galore

Guys are you sure that has not been priced in already? If you put into consideration the selling prices of these banks YOY, should they be trading at these prices? Remember also that the naira was officially devalued post-earning season of 2015 so you can actually buy more with a dollar than what obtained about same period last year.
Lastly, where do you see prices of these banks in the coming days/weeks? Plunging or moderate gains? If your info pans out, there might be a rush for the exit but it will be short-lived. The bulls will take over. My outsider opinion grin

Zenith bank Total Offer to bid Ratio today is 8.84% at the pre market compare to yesterday @ 10.25% meaning that it is only 8.84% that are willingly to sell out their stocks out of entire buy population of 100%. With the help of the ratio ,There is a strong indication that zenith bank will closed with full bid today @ a share price of N12.21. Thanks

How? You expect the result to be out before today? Kindly check when result was released last year. If anything, we all know all banks have impairments but the result can't be considered delayed.
