Document circumstances of economic need: write a personal statement to USCIS describing the cause of the economic hardship and the effect that it has had on your personal finances, and attach any relevant documentation (example: proof of currency devaluation). Explain in the statement why other on-campus options are unavailable, or insufficient. Prepare a monthly budget outlining your income and expensesComplete the forms I-765 and g-1145, enter (c)(3)(iii) for item 16 on the form.Obtain two passport sized photos, photos must have been taken within 30 days of submitting application to USCISPrepare copies of: I-94 front and back, ID pages from passportPrepare a $380 check or money order made out to Department of Homeland SecurityIf applicable: prepare copies of any previously issued EAD cardsMeet with your International Student Advisor to request a new I-20 with DSO recommendation (bring the above documentation when meeting with advisor)Student will receive an e-mail from the Office of International and Cultural Affairs when I-20 with economic hardship recommendation is ready to be signed by the student.  Student will then send a copy of new I-20 with application materials to USCIS.Ship all documents to:

Everything is set, the problem lies with getting proof of currency devaluation. I can't show them some online blog i.e. abokifx, lindaikeji etc. The only credible 1 available was 1 old vanguardngr. since Jan 16th which is stale.
Any more recent newpaper article online would be better suited to my application

Yes, I can confirm that for you. You have 2 years after school to work in your field of study. This is 3 years for science students. If you would love to teach in high school, I could point a program for you

You flopped all the opportunities to sell yourself. You were too lukewarm. No excitement in your answer. I am sure you barely spoke loud.

I want to stress here that VO are tired of hearing about online research for school. How many school can you truly research online? Every sch online will sell itself. Wouldn't you if you had a school. Therefore online details is a very bias means of choosing a school. You would probably be deceived and frustrated once you get to the school.

One good way to find out about the school is past experiences of students and staff of the school who are by themselves experience the school. So telling VO that a formal senior or brother of yours attended the school and told you of the numerous opportunities the school offers and saying he found employment immediately he got back to nigeria because of his acquired skill sets is a good way to impress the VO. You could say he was elevated to senior position because of his contribution to his workplace six months after returning from us.

Notice I always tie my answer to nigeria because of home ties. I cannot over emphasize the importance of that.

On why you choose the course, stop saying the curriculum or class ratio. Most school in US has same structure of curriculum. Why? They all research into best structure of curriculum and they virtually turn up with same curriculum. However, current research differs per university. So ur attraction to a named researched by prof so so will be apt for you to mention. Go further to say you are in touch with the prof. If you have a good sat or GRE score. Chip in that he was happy with your CV and GRE score.

See? You are the one leading the interview. At this stage, he would be interested in your score. VO would be impressed.

I hope I made a good point. This is a money-worth points. You got it free. So be nice to someone else.

Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by warriboy21(m): 7:40pm On Mar 14, 2016
from my experience, d major questions that could grant you ur visa are:

1. how did you find out about this sch
2. what wud dis degree do for you
3. why did you choose this sch.

lemme try to answer..for someone going for msc IT like me winkpls dnt mind my typos..thks
`1. (just try to b real and smile) umm i was looking for a good university in the us that offers information technology with a full concentration in cybersecurity. so after an intense online research i came up with a list of 10 schools and i later shortlisted it to 6 and then applied to 3 of dem and dis schools include (name d sch). they might ask about d online research site...jus say i catalogued with usnewsdotcom, collegeboard. bla blabla

2. wellll as an aspiring information technologist, i have always plan to solve problems dealing with the IT sector in my country. many companies and financial institutions are loosing money due to cyberinsecurity. and solutions are always sought for from experts abroad.this experts carry home lots of money after especially in thousands of dollars. so a degree from this university will equip me with the required skills and expertise to be able so solve the one of the bigest IT problems in this country. also , my input as a trained expert in the IT field will be valuable since nigeria is still growing in the IT field.

3. out of the 3 schools i applied to....ekpoma university ;Dgave me a first hand correspondence with response to their application..i am also in constant communication with profesor bla bla(chk dia website n mention one profesor name abegi undecided dem no go kn) (pls dnt tell lagnivv i said so smiley)and im interested in his current research in cybersecurity since its suits the problem im gona be solving in my country.
trust me if u can scale dos questions en

jus go claim ur visa..oda questions na jare smiley wink

You can go ahead and write the subject GRE. It will greatly enhance your consideration for GA. Though you still have ample time to prepare for visa if your decision is made as early as June, I would recommend you send in your other application without the GRE.

You could then email or call the graduate director that you will be writing your GRE by April and would like them to consider it with your admission documents.

It is unlikely you will be given GA on account of subject GRE because funding committee would have met before May to disburse funds. These guys plan way ahead.

However, if you get to school one months before resumption, u stand a huge chance of getting TA Or RA position just by going round faculty staff. At worst, you will get on campus job as sch is still empty.

If I am the VO, my decision has been made immediately after the bold statement about. To the best of my knowledge, there is no school called Texas.

As someone already said, "I researched online" is already a stale format please let's be creative and convincing in our response.

You are the driver during your interview, drive the VO to where they will have no choice than to give you the white paper. Thanks
