Hey Richiebay, I read your transcript and you did not sound convincing enough, and you applied to a single school. Saying you did not consider another school, sounds like there is a motive.
A net search is not a convincing answer, you should have specified the web you used for your search.
Stated you applied to more than one school, two or three.

Anyway all i can tell you is to go and pray as you apply again.
I don't know you well, but all i can tell you is that, all you need to do is pray.
That did it for me.

Why do you guys tell people to lie then tell people to pray. Choose one, they don't work together.

The visa officer told us last year of one posting here about fasting and prayer
who turned up at his interview with fake papers.

this is the transcript for the first interview
V0; good morning
Me; good morning
Vo; Cani have your passport
Me;tossed it to her
Vo; why do you want to go study abroad
Me; to improve my knowledge and to be able to come back to use to work in Nigeria blah blah
Vo; how did you find out about the school
Me; via research through the net
Vo; did you consider another school
Me; no
Dang....she gave me the slip... D girl squeeze face like person wey dem just break In heart
Lessthan a minute the interview was over....have learnt from my mistakes and will go back on Friday hoping for the best....but the rate of rejection that day was high, when I was there they interviewed over 30 people and just gave the white slip to just one person....seems we will start teleporting to us now
best of luck bro, please prepare a good reason for studying abroad and pray very well.
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by monsieur2016(m): 8:11am On Mar 17, 2016
You can't collect your visa more than 120days before the resumption date on your I20. That may be the reason for the rapid denial for those intending to resume around august.

I don't know why people enjoy WES somuch even with the stress. IERF is also one of d best, and they don't write back to ur school for any verification. Once u pay $165,they evaluate ur transcript(s) and send it to d school u want it to be sent and still send ur own copy.

That the knowledge and experience he or she got frm d university has helped the person to the rank of soo soo and soo in his field. I think its a better reason.

Thank you Brother. The school is saying my Sevis ID will have to change since the previous 1-20 was cancelled . Some says I do not need to re-appear at the embassy and maybe possibly do transfer of Sevis . Not sure what to do exactly.
imperiouxx:

Can you quote where you got the rule? What I know is that entering is permitted within 1 year of obtaining your F1 visa. The new I-20 should have the same sevis number and from the same school right as it's on your visa.

One more quick question.

I want to migrate to New york or South carolina, or Charlotte and I need Nursing schools from any of these two locations.

From experiences, which of these 3 states will be better for me as new immigrant to live and study and then base there permanently?
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by Nobody: 11:56am On Mar 17, 2016
worry359:

Yes the school will report you and cancel your visa (by notifying immigration that you have broken your conditions.)
The i.d. card will be on record and will ring alarm bells wherever it is used.
No legal work will be possible so you will only be able to take jobs on minimum wage that no one else wants.
You will spend every day watching out for officials and police.

grin Enjoy your stay. grin
what if he goes to school for a semester and stop?

You'll most likely apply as freshman. EE and Nursing are 2 different fields from each other with entirely differing backgrounds and course works. You may or may not write TOEFL/IELTS depending on the school English requirements for international students you're applying to. Some schools waive TOEFL for Nigerians, some don't. And since you say you're a US resident already, the English requirement may be waived for you, also depending on where you did your secondary school (if in the US) or if you can prove that you are fluent enough in the English language.

Yea you can once you have your SEVIS number. If you don't have your SEVIS number yet, you can request for it by email from the international student office of your school. And make sure you book a date giving enough room to accommodate the arrival of your I-20 as you will need the document for your visa interview.

I read somewhere in thier site-that you have to summit your original certificate (not statement) and that it will be sent back to you once the evaluation in done. Is that not risky if someone sent both his BS/MS cert for example. Just asking for those who have use it.

My name is Tunde,Im currently doing a Master degree in Business Administration in one of the Universities in Ankara, Turkey. I just completed my class work and about to start my thesis.I intend to focus on Human Resources Management aspect of Business Administration and currently admitted for a certificate program in Human resources management at the University of California. The certificate program is a practical program that runs for nine month.
I scheduled an interview here in Turkey and so bad was denied the visa on the ground of no strong family ties.
I was working as an Assistant Manager coordinating my dads filling stations before coming here for my masters. The Visa Officer gave the reason for the denial as no strong ties here or in naija.
Somebody suggested i return back home to naija to try the application again and change my status on the d 160 form from studying to working.
Please I need guidance

Be honest!
Do not consider lying or changing your story.
Remember what you said before is on computer record. At the moment you have only been refused. If they think you are telling tales it will be worse.

The visa officer has said that many are refused when applying from a second country because it is difficult to check ties to return home.

Go back to Nigeria and re-apply with strong ties.
