Teegali, i know its hard to forget esp with dhs attitude. But try forgive them. Forgiving people comes with its own blessing. May u celebrate fully this time. No village or whereever and try use a general Hospital. From my experience, they are more thorough with child birth and child care though some of them may be rude to u but their insults doesn't mean anything compare to the joy u feel everytime u see ur baby.
We shall all celebrate with u this time.
Dunamit, thats the type i bought for first lo. I enjoyed it and kept it again for this one. I express almost 230mls from both breast when fully engorged.

Teegali.... I am so sad and shaken by your story. I join my faith with everyone and say affliction will not arise again in Jesus name. I encourage you to be proactive this time please. Pray hard as in really hard even from now. Towards delivery if you can make arrangements to move in with your mum if its possible and insist that only your mum will care for you and newborn. Shine your eyes very well,make sure you don't leave room for any loopholes to be exploited and don't take any chances. Even though intentions maybe good not all methods would work for everyone. i tot first trimester was the hardest but na lie third trimester is
- up untill now am yet to find the most comfortable position to sleep(sometimes i result to crying whenever i see dh sleeping soundly)
- i am always hungry:if you like give me two plates of pounded yam i will ask for more in an hour time
-i cant trek for long without feeling as if my pelvic wants to fall out.
-what about all the pitiful stares and remarks i do get from all this women in my street,i guess they mean well.
-i have become a shopaholic,buying up baby clothes(i think am preparing for thread cuties )

I know pregnancy is a blessing which all atc mamas will experience soon but at this third trimester junction, I'm heartily sick of the whole deal by now and just want it to be over and done with. I feel and look uncomfortable but can't help. God pls pick up pick up and deliver me ooo... Today is the due date according to Lmp, feeling a mixture of anticipation and excitement, anxiety and impatience.

As Mothers We should always learn to speak up no matter who feels offended when it come to our Babies. I remembered on my Son's naming cos He was crying during the ceremony, my husband 's family said I should go and put water in his cup for Him to drink. I told them point blank, it is not allowed. When they finished ceremony, they called my husband and said na so they do the other grandchildren and nothing happened to them, I stood my ground oh. My Mum was like, I should have just said yes and leave it at that, I said silence meant consent. Later, whenever anyone come around to visit and ask if We are using this agbo or the other, my mother in law will tell them, the parents will not use it and that is the end. I thank God, my husband supported me all through.

Its easier when you have the full support of your spouse! Some scenarios I feel its better to be political and wise in managing the situation than an outright no especially as it concerns inlaws. Someone here for eg was bottle feeding her baby in the room to avoid any brouhaha with her inlaws who if I remember well were not keen on bottle feeding of the baby.

Of course with health matters some tact and forcefulness may be needed. Each scenario will/should dictate what one may or may not do!

I dnt know y our old parents are always after carrying new baby to their home town for omugwo/dedication or whatever forgetting to put d health condition n wellbeing of d baby into consideration. Y wld sumbody insist on making u travel long distance wt a newborn baby dt wasn't really active n needed all d rest n immediate medical attention he cld get like simplebukky said, it always helps to have proper support n understanding frm ur dh or else everybody go jus siddon for ur neck like say dem go fit love ur own pikin more than u I know it's difficult bt sm1 has to put down her feet on ds issues to avoid stories o, if e happen finish na sorry dem go tell u.
