I still say we put a late call to Awaziem, the young Nigerian defender at FC Porto. Someone should tell Ambrose that we do not need his erratic runs when he plays in central defence.

I concur... Efe is a disaster

It's simple he need to up his game... Too many people didn't see casilas faults when he was at Madrid until Muo found him out...

That was a mistake, not poor goalkeeping..

I agree with you..He should have ballooned the ball to the domain of the Egyptian instead of doing a small throw or pass.. I believe he will learn from this mistake.

But overall, he was brilliant and a good number 1..If in disagreement, watch the match again.

So, you too saw that Moses Simon guy...Very skillful indeed.

I didn't notice that nice pass to Moses came from Iwobi..Unfortunately, when Moses tried converting it, that Egyptian defender came from nowhere and dashed our hope for a second goal.
bro that simon looks like a player from okocha KANU, ronaldinho era, very skillful, its been long we have that kinda player and this is my first time of seeing him

Iheanacho was meant to drop because he was the number 10 playing behind the striker. He acted ad an attacking midfielder. Ighalo was the point man and his holding up play between two defenders was good.

Iheanacho and Musa made many poor passes.

Iheanacho played as a support striker and had a role of dropping deeper to help. That left Ighalo up front alone. Remember earlier in the game, Iheanacho was not seen until he started dropping deeper. Nothing stops the point man from dropping deep once in a while. Ighalo hardly made breathing space for himself but stayed with the defenders throughout.

Nothing stops Lukaku or Aguero from dropping deep to tighten the midfield and increase possession. These guys do it repeatedly but Ighalo hardly did. Ighalo needs reinvention of his game.

How these coaches stil invite this 43 year old Efe Ambrose still surprise me.
Yea, he's that old cos I know him wella.
I too wonder ooo,can u imaging how he was running like a tortoise and for mikel,he was a milipede, very slow and always giving backward pass even if they are lossing,i think our forward players were fair and they really impressed, but our defenders were lazy ass and useless set of players.

What do we need to qualify?
We need to make two changes in the line. Musa is wasteful and the guy who played point man for us too. And bring on Victor Moses and Adi and the Pharoahs will be stunned in their home.

[quote author=olajizz01 post=44105823]Our defenders are very useless, defenders that cant keep pace with the opponent strikers, they were running like heavily pregnant women, stupid players.[quoteI beg to disagree. Only the LB and sometimes the RB were dissapointing maybe due to lack of experience. Oboabani did superb.

The game in North Africa would be interesting. I see Nigeria winning the match. Those who blamed the referee for not allowing Egypt score the winner are totally blindfolded because they don't know the extra 3 minutes is already gone.

Ancelotti switched off early in the game and it backfired. I am not saying we should go defensive early in the second half. How can we not expect a team that has scored more goals than any team in our group not to find a way to score? Is that not ridiculous.

I did not say Coach Siasia should play a defensive tactics, it is not part of his philosophy.

He should have brought in a defensive player to tighten our defense while the attacking players continue their attacking roles.

As the time drifted, we should have gotten tighter in the back but we kept on attacking believing one of the top scoring teams in the African Nations Cup qualifiers will not score.

That was suicidal and we payed for it.

I concur with u,it's just that siasia need more goals but never see this coming, even nobody expect this with the performance of Eagle,, but we should blame defenders for unexpected blunders

Guy, what do we need to play in Egypt to qualify?
we MUST beat Egypt to stand a chance
Re: Nigeria Vs Egypt AFCON Qualifier: 1 - 1 On 25th March 2016 by princfred(m): 8:04pm On Mar 25, 2016
Good tactical plan by Siasia. He is really a genius and the best local coach we have now. Our numerous back passes made the Egyptians psychologically tired of marking down our mid fielders, infuriated them and made them unable to control and press us for a reasonably length of time. Very fine tactics which barca uses to destroy teams worldwide.
The LB was terrible and immature throughout the game-Our Achilles heels.
Folks, we can win them in their home.
Ighalo was ineffective for most part of the game he should show more presence and maturity.
Emenike's pushy presence and hunger was missed.
Our goalkeeper should charge his defenders like enyima usually does to avoid lose of concentration like the one by the LB that gave salah free chance.

I believed he hoped and played to get as many goals as possible to leverage on the second game in Egypt. So as to fully utilize our home advantage.

We just need a win and also we have to play full-attacking football. The Phroahs will come out from their shell too but this is where "Nacho" will finish them with Moses who is also good at running.

So if possible, we need to reverse to our traditional pattern of 4-4-2 formation and shoot from all cylinder.
